Thank goodness I found you - I was a bit stuck halfway through and ready to put it all away for another day, but now I can follow you and hopefully finish this dress- you’re a lifesaver ❤❤
Wonderful! Thanks for letting me know. Hope it all goes nice and smooth. Happy sewing
I bought the pattern today, as a beginner I've watched this twice already, thank youuu
Thank you! 💜 It's a lovely style and the finishes are very clean!
Excellent demonstration. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the comment and compliment! :) I appreciate you watching. 👗 💙
Days later, as a beginner, can confirm that I MANAGED TO SEW A DRESS. Please watch carefully the part she shows the top part of plackets. And do not forget to trim down one of the collar pieces. (I had to unpick a lot) This was my first placket-buttonhole training and it turned out neat. Thank you
Thank you for the update and congrats on your lovely new dress! 🥰
This is such a pretty dress. I have it in my stack, so i’m extra glad this video popped up in my feed.
Thank you. 💕 Isn't it great when we already have the pattern ready to go? Happy sewing!
Glad i found your channel, you are very thorough in your instructions. Thank you
Thank you!! So glad you're here! :)
Hi. I was browsing your videos, and writing Tiana's closet, Simply, etc, so when i want to find a video i will know where it is, and if you already sew that pattern, etc.😊. So, i found this video, and i was like: wow!, i love that style, it is like vintage style, etc, and, when i saw the fabric i was smiling, because the other day i bought that fabric!!!😃, and now i know what to do with it and look beautiful!. (I ordered that pattern already.👍). Ok. now i would like, if you don't mind, to add some patterns to the list of petitions🫣😊: they are Tiana's, and the dress Amiri maxi dress is on the top list, because it give me Vintage style also. The order patterns to add to the list are: Erina ruched sleeve tee, Natasha bubble sleeve dress, Yvette drawstring top, Marlene gathered panel blouse, SKye ruffle sleeve top,(now it is free ), and Paloma slit neck blouse. They are few, but i don't know if they are already on your list, i just wanted to mention these patterns in case you like them, too. 😉😊👍
Thanks for the ideas! Yes, that dress is very pretty and unique, and the fabric was a steal!! 🤩
You are the best ❤
Thank you!! You're the best, too! :)
Amazing work and effort in this demonstration thank you soo much
❤️❤️❤️❤️ thank you for watching
Ooh I tried to find this today. It was sold out! Thank you for the video!!
Thanks for watching! Did you go to Joann? Hopefully you have another one near you! Or maybe they restock often! 🤔
@@Sew-Happy I did. They were low in many patterns. I’ll have to wait till the next simplicity sale. I did pick up S9604 and s9755. I hope you will do a sew along with either of these please
Thank you for the suggestions! like the shorts of 9755. Which view are you thinking of for 9604?
Could you please make Simplicity 1375
Thank you for the suggestion. I will keep it in mind for a future video.
I just received the pattern for this dress!👏. What size did you use for yourself?, i know you are XS in other patterns, and that is how i guide myself what size to use, but this one have number.
Enjoy! I believe i made a size 8.
@Sew-Happy perfect. Thank 😊. Time to make the pattern. 🤗.
What is the type of fabric you would recommend for this pattern?
@@ThePetStop-g9v on the back of the pattern there are a few recommendations listed. I have used quilting cotton! ❤️
Hi. Today i was in a appointment, and i was wearing that dress, but i was thinking: how can i make the next one with the bodice a little loose on the tummy area?🤔, it is comfortable, but i want more room for the waist/ tummy area, so i thought, maybe i can sew it 3/8, and not 5/8 seam alawnce?, or copy the pattern and add inches to the area i would like relaxed?. I would appreciate your advice.
@@MS-mr4li yes, reduce that seam allowance! That’s really what it’s for - you could even go down to 1/4” and have a nice secure seam. 🎉
@@Sew-Happy Thanks!!.👏❤️🤗.
Loving the detailed, clear explanation! Do you have an Instagram for your sewing?
Thank you!! Yes, my Instagram is mari_sews_gold
Thank for watching! ❤️
Hi. I forgot to tell you about the finished dress, it is just as described, but, in my case, maybe because i am skinny, the end of the shoulders stayed up, and, i want to ask you: if i curve the corners of the from and back top parts, just the right amount, do you think the problem will be resolved?. I won't modify the dress i already made, i will make another dress with different fabric color, but i want to know if the idea of modifying the pattern would work.
Congrats on finishing the dress. Your adjustment sounds like a sensible one, and an easy fix. It also sounds like you can make this adjustment on your current version to practice before the next dress. 🎉
@Sew-Happy Thanks!!😊, it is very pretty, and i really like working with that fabric, i will buy more of it👍. Ok, i will try to fix this one, but i feel bad because was the first i made, but i will do it, if i don't fix it will be difficult for me to wear it, and i really like it. I can't express how thankful I am for finding your channel, i really appreciate that you decided to share with us your expertise, and guide us to be able to create beautiful things. Thanks for everything you do for us!!.🤗❤️.
@@MS-mr4li I'm glad your addressing the sleeves with the current garment. I know that, for me, if there is something a little off with the fit, I never end up wearing the garment!! 😲
I'm very happy the videos are useful to you -- it's the best compliment 🥰
@Sew-Happy i finished, and it worked out well!! 👏. That was the problem, i know for a fact that if i am not happy with something i sew, i definitely won't wear it, so this dress is very nice, and i like the fabric, i really wanted to wear it, and now i definitely can!!. Thanks again for always being so responsive. 😘.
