You'll get there, you'll have saved some $$$ AND you'll be happy to have done it yourself! OR, you'll regret taking on the job and wish you bought the complete units... either way it's part of the process. Have fun with your project and give us a call if you need any coaching!
HI Dave.... another helpful video - thanks for sharing! Do you happen to have one on replacing the vent window pull? i took mine apart to put new window seals in, but when I go to install the pull back on, it has me scratching my head as to how it show go exactly! Just curious...
@@andresalonso4654 I that case, we will contact you using the info you gave us when you ordered the roof. Then we can setup a time for you to bring the truck in so we can do some filming. Sound good?
It's basically the same, it's just that the glass doesn't wrap-around the corners so aggressively. The 1964-66 is actually a much easier piece of glass to install.
The rivets used in a gun are too deep and interfere with the weatherseal in the channel. These rivets are able to be smashed completely flat so there is nothing protruding and causing the glass to pinch in the channel.

Hello, the kit of rivets you sell are the same used for seal post and glass vent frame?
Yes, the kit we sell has enough rivets for both vent frames and pivot rivets for both sides.
Do have anything for the 1952 GMC truck windows. I’m going to be rebuilding my windows soon so I’m going to be needing some help with them.😎
We don't yet, but we'll add it to the list

Why is the 66 so much different!?

Why not use a rivet gun??
The rivets used in a gun are too deep and interfere with the weatherseal in the channel. These rivets are able to be smashed completely flat so there is nothing protruding and causing the glass to pinch in the channel.
