Used to travel everyday in the 80 as a matriculant on the Strand Cape Town line ,never came late for school once as the train was always on time. Trains were clean as cleaners would get in at CT and Strand and clean it fast . Created work for many women who kept it clean . Now no trains for 3 years and never on time , overcrowded as population grew to 60 million but no improvenent, Never thought I would ever say this but the racist Nats looked after the trains and provided better rail servis than the current ones , both are corriupt bt in just 28 years the infrastructure has been destroyed .

But ANC does not run Cape Town too so they , do we blame reserve blame to national government only when things are bad ?
I think it’s fair to say South Africa has been saddled with lousy government when it comes to the masses since beginning of time

@@SupremeBros2012 Rail services are run by national government not provincial as are police . The blame is squarely on ANC , Rates and water and schools annd hospitals are run by proviinces

@@SupremeBros2012 you really need to educate yourself on what services are controlled by the national government vs the local government... Maybe then you'll realize it's probs not in your best interest to keep voting ANC. The local government has literally been begging the ANC to take over the CT rail services for an eternity now

    Sympathy reporting again.
Perhaps it should be about this being the busiest route in Cape Town OF THE LINES THAT ARE WORKING and have not been vandalised or burned by criminals that the police do nothing to apprehend, or neglected by an incompetent and grossly corrupt Prasa? Tell us more about the central lines, and the line down to Simonstown that hasn't worked for 5 years?
    That's the real story here.

Ah yes, the “blame the criminal “ excuse
It’s so great to speak from a position of privilege from time to time isn’t it
The Nee York underground system was horrendous until a leader (who I think is a douche today) came in and changed things
Just as a hint, he was not from the ruling party of the president at the time
Whose responsibility is it to ensure that the trains are safe , clearly not the “criminals” as you say

it just gets worst every year. 20 years ago it was bad but today its 100 000 times worst. Let the president or minister ride the trains so they can see what the average citizen must do to travel.

I thought Cape Town is run by the efficient DA or do we only reserve blame on ANC and Credit for DA , asking for a friend
We can’t have our cake and eat it too

@@SupremeBros2012 PRASA is state-owned. The DA has been trying to take over responsibility of this for many years but the ANC government is not allowing it.
