One of the most powerful female voices if not the most powerful i have ever heard
Saw her at Aftershock last October. With a lineup that included Slipknot, Lamb of God, In Flames, and Evanescence she was hands down the best vocal performance. There's a force of nature in that neck.
Yeah, I don't know any women in the industry that can do what Lizzy does
Hard Rock is an endangered species. It seems all Death Metal now, growling instead of singing. Thank some fallen angel for Halestorm. They are more like the Judas Priest I grew up with.

I thought the same damn thing. The vibe is completely wrong in most of these new people. This band could tour with any of the flamboyant hairbands of that time in their prime and hold their own with a singer like that. She is fantastic. The whole band is. I bet they could brag with the best of them, party as hard as the rest of them and, to judge by this song, flip off anybody who doesn’t like it and send them to hell. The proper spirit of rock. I bet they could cover Breaking The Law and do a proper job.
@@IBM-5100 it’s a damn tragedy. There was a time when some of the finest musicians in the world made their music in this genre. There was Rush with Neil Peart who was the best drummer in the world at the time. Virtuosic guitarists like Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Joe Satriani and Paul Gilbert come to mind. And vocalist? We had some really impressive ones. Mike slaughter, Sebastian Bach, Axl Rose, Stevie Nicks, Amy Lee, Steven Tyler, and on, and on, and on. It’s nice to know that the old fire Burns in these guys. Warms my middle aged heart.

Vicious is probably the best start to finish. But the highlights on this are the highlightiest.

No matter how many times I hear that powerful, howling voice of hers, Lzzy never fails to give me chills.
I remember being completely annoyed by some reactor's comments about Amy, when Lzzy gave me the best advice ever: " I hate that this is still part of our world. All we can do is uplift each other... "
Thanks Lzzy so much for being such a wonderful person, role model, compassionate leader of you tribe and truly an inspiration. We are so lucky for having these amazing women sharing fragments of their lives with us these last few years. Evanescence first, now Halestorm. Life's been throwing us curveballs, but we are ready. @@carlafolmar180, I can explain this. Lots of people seem to REALLY enjoy shitting on Amy for the new album, how much she’s “changed” and a bunch of other really degrading shit. Check any Evanescence videos about some of this and I can guarantee you’ll find one of these hateful little shits.
It’s honestly disturbing they want that same 20 year old from Fallen. Basically the reason I can’t be in many Evanescence fandoms because they’ll do stupid shit like ask people for their worst songs from her, and saying shit like, “Come on, ya gotta have at least one;)” Fuck that, I’d explode and say I don’t, I may have my favorites, but you need to quit shitting on EVERYONE ELSE because they know she isn’t that same 20 year old from Fallen! Amy does NOT deserve that. Saw a bitch on a music video offended that she swore once and said the band needed to retire. Personally if she can’t get her head out of her ass and get over one cuss word that gal needs to retire as a fan. I am fine if you don’t like her current stuff, lots of people still support her because they know she’s been through hell and is still doing discovery of herself and the band. And one thing I REALLY commend Amy on? Her almost non existence of swearing in her songs. I can maybe count on one hand out of the nearly 100 songs I know from her how many times she swore, and only 2 of those were f-bombs(another one was a cover of a Fleetwood Mac song, think the word was damn). Do you know how insanely rare that is for an artist? Especially since any of those songs she wrote herself uses the word ONCE in the song for a point and that’s it. For a comparison, Slipknot’s first album has…what, 87 f-bombs in the whole thing, multiple times a song(I know this from a video I watched on it). As well, not hating on Hale but I have heard much more swearing in her songs and I don’t see anything about that. The Halestorm community is by no means perfect but they don’t do THIS to their idol. So…that’s my rant. If I get to see her in August I will write a letter to hand to someone to get it to her, and say in it that I don’t care what she explores in the future, as long as it’s what she wants and it keeps things original. And how much her music saved me. Grrr…anyway, end of rant. Hope this explains a few things.

Holy shit! What the fuck? What? This music is being made today? Today? I had no idea! What a discovery! I grew up listening to rock in its heyday during the 80s and 90s and thought it was dead. Nothing new was on the radio. Everything sounds electronic and the same. No real instruments, auto tune gone wild. The few obscure metal artist I have discovered seem to be obsessed with darkness, brooding, just unhappy shit. The true spirit of what we had seemed to have been forgotten. There was no defiance. There was no partying. Nobody was bragging about how he always gets the girls and the girls always want him. No woman was bragging about her own deeds and escapades. They all forgot that Rock was supposed to be about fun in spite of everybody trying to fuck it up for you.And then, today, I encounter this! She is magnificent! I think I’m in love! What a voice! I would love to see her do a duet with Sebastian Bach or that fellow from Steelheart.
