Farewell to Ballade - MM10 [MMC5, FamiTracker] (A cover of a cover...)

- This is definitely the laziest I've done so far, but that's probably because I did this song when I was still learning how to use Famitracker.
At first, I wasn't going to share this song at all. I just wanted to keep it for myself (I thought it didn't deserve any attention), but I changed my mind since I haven't uploaded anything lately. I'm still having problems with some MM8 songs and I have a lot to do ATM, but I still wanted to share at least something, so I found this old module and thought that it could hopefully be worth sharing.
You may notice that this is simply a MMC5 version of 8bitDanooct1's VRC6 cover, but there's another reason why I decided to do this song.
I think this song is unique simply because it's a very calm song (compared to other Mega Man songs), and I wasn't sure if I liked the idea of adding more bass by using the Sawtooth channel (especially to a song like this one). So I decided to do a MMC5 version instead and at least try to add more piano-ish sound to it, even though Dan did already an incredibly good job when it comes to that. His VRC6 remix of this song is definitely one of my favorites out there, but I just thought this song needed a different version, a different feel, if you know what I'm trying to say here...
So... my version is not too different from Dan's, it just has slightly different percussion, pianos (25% Pulse width, instead of 31.25%) and hopefully more accurate volume slides
(when comparing to the original 2A03 song). I may have changed a few notes as well...
If you guys don't like my version, I'll understand...
I might do a N163 version of this in the future, who knows...

Villain with a hero's heart...
Ballade is one of the most divine characters in the entire Mega Man franchise in my eyes. Just incredible. Not just his music either, but his character in general.
This song, pretty much resembles the Megaman franchise..

Why is this song so sad, compared to Enker's and Punk's themes?
Well, maybe that makes his backstory more tragic, but I still find that decision odd for MM10's soundtrack.
Because... "ballad" I guess. Then again, enka music (the namesake for Enker) is pretty melancholy too.

He sacrifices for to save mega man, and in Mega man 10 he's reconstructed by Wily, but because his I.C. chip was irremediately destroyed, basicly the Mega man 10´s ballade is merely an another robot, without the remembers of the "original" one

Its sounds the same as the original in Megaman 10. But enough bells and whistles are added in, making it sound better by far. I'm a fairly low grade brony as of now. Glad to see people doing stuff like this.
I wonder if the MMC5 not provide its additional square wave channels through a stock North American NES? That could explain why MMC5 went underused. The VRC6 arrangements of the Famicom Akumajou Densetsu are awesome, but I'd love to hear an MMC5 + extra square waves version of some CV3 tracks.

I love both for different reasons. This one is closer to the original, but yours makes good use of VRC6.

So MMC5 allows four square wave channels at once? Really? I don't recall ever hearing four square waves in any Castlevania 3 song.
I always play the stage just to hear that awesome music,even though i get kill A LOT coz of how annoying the stage is :/, anyway nice work warheart *thumbs up*
