I have the 2021 GTBs and as much as I love them and have so many great and comfy things to say about them, I will be honest and say I’ve just had to replace a frame mounting plate due to the threads being ripped out of the boot and it shook my trust a tad.

Same! If you skate them hard it's prob going to happen.
Had it happen and i purchased new plates, it happened again and I messaged Pieter. No trouble getting new bolts and plates. The bolts need to screw all the way through the plate. Apparently the bolts they gave me were too short. They sent me more plates and new bolts in the mail.

As soon as the box hit the table I knew what brand you had. I have the gto marathons with the 110 wheels. Your going to love these skates. Especially when they are broke in. After they are broke in it’s time to heat mold them. I almost forget I have them on when I’m skating. The adapt team is amazing and very easy to work with to get exactly what you want.

I will probably never skate another skate after owning an Adapt boot :)

Excited for the review! I love that there’s a v-cut option skate on the market

I wanted to try a carbon skate and agonized over whether to get these skates or the FR SL I ended up getting instead. Ultimately, the ability to use my Endless 90 frames, properly centered is why I went with the FRs. Interested to see what you think of them.

That's the one gripe I have with my FR Spins. They are carbon skates and fit really really well on my feet. But the front and back mounting points are not in a straight line. Endless Frames still work on them tho. I've had no issues actually riding them.

I’m very interested to see how you like the Adapt set-up?! I’ve really enjoyed my GTOs and they were super comfy out of the box, never heat molded them!

At that price I would be scared about damaging them. I have two pairs of beat up FRs. I skate the most extremely beaten up pair the most. Then I give them a rest and skate the other pair until the stink has more or less evaporated from the primary pair. I also have a pair of carbon fibre Igors that I bought years ago and those I barely use because they are so pretty and shiny, and expensive, that I don't want to scratch them up. Which is admittedly nuts because the cost of them was long ago amortized. So it goes.

well... thanks man, I never knew there was a channel about skates..and like most people in the comments used to skate a lot in the 90s then it kinda went away.. and now I m 40 and ready to break some bones.. I ll binge watch most of your videos, but got a quick question for you or anyone else reading this comment.. Can i still normally and relatively fast skate with MJ12s? or should I change the wheels for em? not sure i ll be jumping or grinding right away cause I forgot most of this stuff and trying to comeback to it :)
    thank you! and great channel!

I skate mostly 90A and I like them a lot. They're faster than 85A and not as different on the asphalt.

Not sure about this suede material so close to the bottom of the sole, would be nice to see some protection. Also for this price they better give you custom mold option for your foot.

    Damn mate!
They look so small in your size!
Very excited to hear what you think of those!
Do you mean the Marnix bowl?
It sounds a bit odd when you put things on the table with the mic setup you have :D

Do you own any hockey skates, Ricardo? I'm always hearing about 'setups', mixing and matching boots and frames I guess. My skates are riveted. One pair of boots, one set of frames. When the rivets go, I buy new skates. Anyway, good to see they include a skate tool for 1000 freaking dollars.

Most inline skates that are not fully molded plastic are hand made..that's just the worst marketing word that exists at least if it's used to judgify a humongous price tag..most likely made in China at 100 bucks a pop, packaged in the us or wherever..

Actually your model cost 1 145€
the 875e model is with normal frame, HoLo frames are 250€ more, which is quite ludicrous...

I did not like the 90a wheels. Too hard if you skate in the city (rough surfaces). I use Junk wheels now.

I agree, I’m rolling with Bont storm surge wheels on mine. Here in the Pacific Northwest we get a lot of rain so I keep my skates ready so I do t have to constantly change out the wheels

    • @wildsonforever9784
      @wildsonforever9784 2 ปีที่แล้ว

I wouldn’t say they suck. They’re actually a great wheel they just are a hard wheel that takes some getting used to.

The mosted over rate skates ever the will fall apart and you will have blisters like you would never had them befor. Costumerservice is real bad. 1- out of 5 stars Because the look amazing
