What happened to the fun fair in Colchester Castle Park, Nichols. Are they still in business? I still remember all their 50´s & 60´s rides in the 1980´s.
Own or lease? Many of these "newer" rides can cost any where from €750,000 to €1.5m. You may get a Waltzer on the second hand market for 40k-80k (I am guessing here), these things were made in the 50 & 60´s. I am just surprised seeing some of these rides on grass (some weigh quite a bit) if the structure starts to sink you have a few problems on your hands.
@@Westhamsterdam they had funderworld come to the same area and they got banne from coming to the town by the council as they had too many accidents and a number of fatalities over its years. The big Ben drop tower used to sink into the ground and so did there wild mouse. Most of the year it wetlands but for some reason they continue to put the rides there. I guess they just can't put too heavy of a ride down. (I lived five minutes away from that fair and used to walk along the fields all the time.
This place was my childhood, great video
