Well, get everything you need to get done, its your life my brotha. Glad you have some content, but you know we all just appreciate you and your daily vlogs. Take care and may all the things you need to take care of is resolved to your expectations. Take care Dave...
Thanks man, nothing will change on the channel rest assured. Will still be uploadin :)
Dave I personally wanna say sometimes you gotta do what's best for you and get things situated enjoy your time off and can't wait to see you back with online transport
Thank you for not leaving us while you're off for the winter. Also, thanks for giving us an update on what your plans are.
I'm going to miss seeing your semi truck and Jeep in my area from time to time when you move.
Thank you for trucking Dave, safe travels.
Will see how soon I can make the move. Depends on if I can find a decent deal on a house and what the market does :)
wish dave would get into off-highway trucking one day; been watching the boys up in Canada and their oilfield stuff and my gawd is it impressive. Keep doing you dave; I'll be here 100%
He likes going through small towns and the country so why not try getting a part time job for a farmer or something
That's what I do here in Alberta, Let me know if you have any questions. I do cementing and occasionally bin hauling and stuff like that from rig sites.
Oil field work is for meth heads
thank you dave for the trucking journey though out the year and hopefully you and your family have a merry christmas and a happy new years. p.s if y'all can pray for my dad that would be cool because he got covid again right before christmas started rolling around so we had to quickly quarantined him to out in our travel trailer to keep from catching it from him again. and i really hope and pray he can be back inside the house with us again for christmas. thank you. ❤🙏
Glad to hear you’re taking a break. You are the OG of POV truck driving and responsible for countless others saying “ you know what, I’m going to jump feet first and get my CDL”. Me included. Great content, stay safe!
I was one of the OG's but there was definitely some guys before me. I can say, nobody else did it quite like me when I started though, showing the full raw BS experiences lol.
@@RidingWithDavehow long did you have to ride with a trainer before you were on your own so I can start driving and my driving TH-cam videos
@@Truck_person Most big companies do 2 to 4 weeks, depending on the company and how good of a driver you are. I have done one training day before I've also done 2 weeks.
I love your videos Dave. My dad was a truck driver with a bunch of companies and drove for 18 years and finally decided to stop trucking. You make me laugh when I watch your videos Dave. I look to more videos in the future
How many times has dave taken a break 😂🤘
I said it when you left CFI and I’m going to say it again. The world needs “Dave The Bull Hauler”
Roll off with Dave has a nice ring to it 😅
Money is not meant to control people, rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.
Now with the recent economy, To get Financial FREEDOM you have to be making money while you're asleep.
First profit grew rapidly and that has made me invest without the fear of losing, I got four of my friends that I introduce to him and they are making profits just like me..
Expert Brian C NELSON never seems to surprise me 😄 I also trade with him, his strategies are top notch and I don't joke with him.
Take it from one who has it and buy a house in Missouri and dream Wrangler with forex trade profits. I started with Mr Brian Nelson of financial education and he has been my handler and guider for the past years.
How can I reach him for quality portfolio management ?
Hey Dave love the vids and you are part of the reason I'm getting my class 1 license and to be a trucker. I'm getting my begginers in January then I'm going into school for a month to get my license. I wish u luck over the holidays and appreciate everything u do for everyone on TH-cam and also just what u do as a trucker to make lives better to live! I'm in Canada but I know how much truckers are needed to live USA or not! Thank you for your service and I cannot wait to be apart of it! Good luck
Self-care is vital. Go take care of yourself. Do what you gotta do. Good luck finding a home to move to and good luck with the move.
Awesome video like always man! They inspire me a lot and I can’t wait to release my first vlog on a Journey and load and unload in my truck!
Good luck with everything Dave and enjoy your time off. I'm glad you will keep uploading the old stuff during the break. Thank you!
I’m glad you will still have content and before you know it it’s gonna be warm out and rwd will have a video saying I’m back…with online or with some other company. Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if you went local.
youre the reason im driving trucks now. love your channel dave keep it up
Good luck to you, Dave. Merry Christmas.
Thanks again Dave for you content 👍 Happy Holidays to you and have a safe fast transition to your moving back home!
😊
Hey Dave! Thanks for the inspiration! I have been driving for almost 6 months now! Keep it going!
Hell yeah , glad you're doing well!
@@RidingWithDavei love watching your trucking videos on your TH-cam channel why are you leaving online trucking company
@@ryanhutchinson9657He explains it in the video, watch the whole thing
@@RidingWithDave I'll buy that car that you have I live here in Springfield ohio
Good luck Dave! Hopefully your move goes well. Have a good holiday!
Shit obviously I've missed all the news on what happened on his life recently.. him and his girl split up?
Same here. I missed the recent news of his as well
@@bodin1912 It was in a recent video that he mentioned that they had mutually decided to go separate ways.
I love RWD, do you?
I also like rear wheel drive
@@boyfromcarolina😂 Me too rear wheel drive is way more entertaining. Front wheel drive is boring, I unsubscribed to fwd.
I mean personally i like my 4x4's
Why quit
@@trevorpinkertonhe is taking break
Man if I would’ve known you was in the area I would’ve asked to hang out and meet ya!
Dave, all the way from Africa I enjoy your truck vlogs man. You're responsible for your life, do what you gotta do but whenever you feel like truckin again we here
Like I said, nothing will change the videos will still be coming :)
I’m thankful your getting a break you need it love you bud
So you're now offline with Online?
Good luck to you bud happy hollidaysto you and yours!!
Thanks for the update Dave 👍👍… looking forward to your return in March … with a flatbed 💀💀😂😂
That sucks for us folks who love to follow your trucking journey but it's all about making yourself happy.
Nothing will change on the channel my man, same upload schedule and style videos though :)
When I left CFI, i let a fleet manager know not mine as my fm wasnt in that day. day before i arrived at the terminal I called to see if they'd get me a rental car and my fleet manager was like... I didnt know this was your last load. They did in fact get me a rental car. I had other things in the works incase they wouldnt but would have made life a bit more stressful and would have lost a few of my things. I'm local now, and I like driving in the snow so I'm good working during the winter lol except I deliver dairy products and thanksgiving and christmas are extremely heavy for us... extra heavy on milk and eggnog and yeah... lots of fun.. not to mention I unload my trailer and its not on pallets so not pulling pallets of a truck... I'm pulling dollies of milk (400lbs each, average about 25-35 dollies)
Take all the time you need Mr. Dave your Trucking Famliy is still here for you No matter what. The road and white lines will all ways be calling your name. I have all ways enjoy watching your video ever since you where with CFI and now On Line. Thank you for all of the safe miles driven and Safe Travels God Bless
From Kidd Trouble
I mean I get what you're saying because winter is always the slowest season for Trucking because it's always pretty hectic out there with a lot of winter storms and stuff but it can also be the busiest time of the year too but I'm glad you're taking some time off to Kyle let your body recover and rest and and focus on your TH-cam career for a little bit I guarantee you'll be back Trucking as soon as winter is over you always do end up coming back because you got that driving bug in you you can't get it out
Man I wish I could take the winters off as well. I drive for a big grocery store chain out here in the Midwest and our winters are brutal. We run around in day and so there’s no pulling over and sleeping it off when the roads get bad either. We gotta keep going and can only really stop if we find a hotel somewhere. Winter is 100% the worst part of this job. Been doing it for 8 years and it never gets easier haha.
Hy-Vee or Meijer?
Take care of “YOU”… I’ll still be here, Merry Christmas & Happy News Year ….. “cheers”….🍾
Awesomeness Dave, I hope you find a decent house for a fair price in Mississippi. Enjoy your time off.
@@DebraDevis Merry Christmas to you as well
@@DebraDevis as I got a bit older, there is not much Christmas going on: The nieces and nephews have moved away, and I have no kids or wife, so it's pretty quiet these days, but otherwise, YES, I love Christmas.

34:15 hey there's the twin to your truck lol
Your going to have to have a job to qualify for a loan .
Taking the winter off is a safe move. Last winter a trip from Utah to Missouri on I80 I saw at least 25 wrecks, the tanker in front of me was fish tailing so I gently tapped the brakes and I could feel my truck sliding on the snow/ice got off the brakes and was ok .
Dave it has been an experience watching you drive, why are you quitting? Oh I got it now.
Cross paths with a few Online Transport. Also, passed a CFI Truck at WT Burnett in MD.
Lti is a small company they hire regional but it's mostly tcu (reefer division) but the pay is decent with Safety pay of 70 cpm
Hey Dave. Now's not a good time to buy a house. As far as your transportation home, I would have just asked them to just give you what they would have spent on a bus ticket in cash.....???
It’s cause you are not a real truck driver dude , take off the winter be real
Did you certify your logs? That SUCKS after coming back after extended time off
You made me believe that I was able to drive a truck, and thanks to you I drive for Cool Fuel Transportation
Happ and healthy Holiday. PeACE DAVE
They are busy during the spring/summer. We see their trucks all over town.
Good call to whipe off all fingerprints Dave :)
Looking forward to your new adventures
Everyone needs some time off after a while, and I couldnt imagine how exhausting it could be driving trucks around the country day after day. Have a nice break and thank you for all your content and what you do, been with your channel since the early days of CFI.

My first load today
I've never used GPS but it seems like if it is checking and reacting to your live location for routing that when it saw you were at the destination, it would automatically advance the checkpoints and complete the trip.
What part of Mississippi you from? Tupelo here.
those t680's are slow at shifting at least the ones from 2018'ish. they don't skip many gears. i prefer the new cascadias. i've driven 2024 volvo, pete, and freightliner.
My husband and I (team drivers) take off winters and spend our down time in AZ. I wish you well and hope you get all your personal stuff done. Enjoy the time off.
Yep, it's not that uncommon for drivers to take off winter, I've heard of many doing it since I've been driving.
@@RidingWithDave this past spring, I met a mutual subscriber of my friend and TH-camr Clutch Trucker. She’s been a trucker (for I think) at least 30 years and she regularly takes time off like that.
Hey Dave, after your winter off, go to Swift just for the hell of it. I had to say it.
I hope you get a definitely type of truck when you go back like Kentworth or Freightliner
Good luck. I think I seen your truck on the Georgetown yard
And you are TAKING TIME OFF WHY
YOU ARE NOT A REAL TRUCKER
So bc he wants to take time off for himself and take care of things, makes him not a real trucker?! Seriously stop being so critical towards the man. If he needs to take a break let him
my man I understand where you are coming from about the backing and leaving room for the other driver to get to their landing gear. I work as a yard driver and have seen drivers park so damn close to other trailers (which is dumb becuase we have lines and if you park between then correctly then there is no issue!!) and we have to fix then on the daily...its like they really just dont give a damn about their fellow driver.
Already? 😅
So they don’t have some form of extended unpaid leave of absence so that you’re technically not quitting?
Addendum: the fact that you were paying for your own transportation home should be considered beneficial because it reduces the company expense and thus shows that you want to come back.
I would suggest putting some sort of a filming date in the Description so that we have some clue as to the sequence of the videos that you are planning to upload in the next few months.
That would be the infamous “skeerdawinter” clause 😂
are we actually going to get some moto vlogs?
You take care of yourself . Hope to see you back in March . I am moving also in Feb due to Hubby passed away and there is nothing here for me . Moving to ILLINOIS
Enjoy your break and cash darn it I was hoping to run into you one of these days up here. I don’t live too far from where you currently live.
It's seems like a really good company to drive for. And you seemed like you were happy driving for them.
I hope if you want to go back to them, that they have a open position.
Anyway good luck bro.
A damn fool who doesn't know how to use the right lane like he should
You have a lot of quit in you
Moving down in Mississippi is a pain right now. Everything is high priced but I'm from Ohio where you're at but since I moved down here this place is my home. Love it down here!!! You need any help let me know I'm in the Hattiesburg area!
Enjoy the time off Dave ✌️👊😉
Well deserved break!! Take care of yourself.
I hate driving bobtail i drive a 2022 T680 and it rides absolutely horrible with no trailer behind me
You can notify Google of the road mistakes and they can change it. I've had to do it a few different times
Regarding ice on the headlights, at 11:26, I encountered that once on Cape Cod. Came out from a meeting at the community center, and there have been some blowing sleet and snow. My headlights were covered over and I didn’t realize that until I was driving a few blocks and seemed like my headlights were off. When I got out and looked, I understood why I couldn’t see too well because they were iced over!
I spend the winters normally in Florida so being up north at that time was unusual for me.
And I just started watching your online transport videos
Get your hazmat and haul fuel out of Mobile or out of collins!! I leave my options open but get your hazmat bud. You're a good driver you can do a lot of things.
What if this video was recorded 7 months ago and we all think you just quit lol
what is with you and quitting😭
Oh no, NOT AGAIN!
If you wanna have fun driving find yourself a job that'll get you a nice 389
Don't go back to CFI WHATEVER YOU DO
Kenworth driver is a real truck driver
I enjoy your channel and what company you want to work
i thought the 4.6 apr was high when i bought my house 10 yrs ago.
Drive for walmart!
Omg you go from one job to another
Um, this is only his second company that he’s worked for…and he’s planning on returning.
Dave you quit more than a McDonald’s ice cream machine lol
Twice? And this one being a way simply to get an extended amount of time off, with the intention to return?
@@JohnHallgrenhe quit CFI twice too. Most drivers move and go back a lot 😂 as someone who hires drivers there resumes are usually veryyyy long. They always say I’ve got business to handle. When in reality they usually threw a tantrum with dispatch and leave.
@@gr0162 he quit CFI once, because when he was riding with Billie Jo, he wasn’t working, he’s said.
@@JohnHallgren he quit CFI when he went off and tried to do his RWD road trip vlogs with his Jeep and camper. He came back and quit and went to this company. So yes that’s two time… I’ve watched him since moto vlogs….
@@gr0162 like I said, when he went ‘back’ to CFI, I believe it wasn’t as an employee because I don’t recall ever seeing him drive during that time. He was always in pax seat. I watched since he began driving truck.
That is super exciting that you are getting stuff taken care of I am so happy for you also I know you enjoy trucking a lot when I was driving Monday morning after being home my wife and I would take our truck to the blue beacon here in north Little Rock
Pp
Can't wait to see what goes on next. Thanks for the video Dave!
Thanks for being awesome, Dave. We get it, especially us trucker buddies. The job takes up so much time. Good idea taking the winter off for yourself, hope everything goes well!! I’ve been thinking of hanging up my keys in the summer and going back to school, this job ain’t as fun as it used to be. Or maybe switching freight, trying flatbed. Reefer gets old haha
...WRITE OFTEN...WE LOVE YOU DAVE 😅
Taking the winter off? Come on rookie, you dont get anywhere by quitting.......
i feel ya. i'm just a local driver but i get nothing done during the week. i may be in my bed everynight but i'm gone 14 to 16 hours a day.
Should look into hopper bottom what my family used to do and my pap is retiring soon
it is nice to be mindful of other drivers. where i work we have the cranks for the landing gear on either side. varies trailer to trailer. and our docks are close together. what i often do is what your supposed to do, leave your sand feet at least an inch off the ground, then unhook. for two reasons. for one, if a trailer is too close that i hook, to, i can pull it out before cranking the gear all the way up and for two, many times i've had to get out and crank down so i don't high hook. those are the people who put the sand feet all the way down and then unhook, airbags and truck heights vary. their not supposed to but they do.
Oh yay 🎉🎉 hope you find a house in MS so you can come back home ❤️ You still have your bike?
Considerring how unsure the market is, I would not be brave enough to quit now. There is a chance You will struggle to go back to work. But - good luck anyways ;)
wow you drove right by my old house lol, i havent seen it in years.
Definitely love your videos come back for spring season trucking
You would quit cattle hauling the first time you walk by the trailer and get the nasty stuff on you.
