    Raha should have taken gold. Throwing your bike in the back of a beat up van and having your lil homie film you hitting makeshift rooftop jumps made out of washing machines is way gnarlier than a groomed course at Jeremy McGraths compound with a professional film crew using cinema cameras and helicopters.

    There were total different levels of gear filming too. I saw from $2K cameras to over $50k camera setups. Raha and 16 year old film maker Tyson Traner did amazing job compared to the gear others were using. Helicopters, RED cameras and man a SHOT OVER camera gimbal system. That is some Massive high dollar stuff.

      Did you not watch the video? There are multiple other people doing what he's doing.. Real moto, to me at least, isn't taking a dozer and building everything perfectly calculated in one area.
      Axell is a sick rider but I agree with Renner.. feels like I've seen it before.
      Foster and Raha went out and found/shoveled creative spots, even Haaker's part they built that in 3 days with no way to go back and it flowed.
      That opening line on Axell's part is sick tho

  • @seansteger7589
    @seansteger7589 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    Foster should have won. So much creativity in that boys bones. Went for big, gnarly tricks, videography was just sim[ply outstanding. Raha 2nd place. Super crazy dude went for it all. Went with the young gun filmer nice work very different style. Axel 3rd nice riding but I felt like he just rode around a sick spot? that's my pick.

  • @MOAB-UT
    @MOAB-UT 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Don't get me wrong, Hodge's part was sick, especially the nose wheelie to front flip, but like Renner said, it was a perfectly manicured riding spot.
    Raha brought creativity in locations and was more "real" with major Crusty vibes. He definitely got robbed.

    RAHA for the win, he was the only one who hit anything "real" in that house, road gaps, giant step down w/ just a little shovel love and that crazy jump into the LA river!! everything else was mostly full build setups. Hodges is gnarly but all that was fully dialed in and engineered setups, nothing hesh about it.

  • @Ritalie
    @Ritalie 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The big paralell twin at 26:02 on the left is savage. Notice that the parallel twin dirt bikes never came to America, we got singles. A 2 cylinder engine is far superior for riding at very low and very high speeds. The engine is able to idle smoothly at half the RPM of the single, and produce very smooth controllable torque just off idle. If you flog a twin, the pistons and valves are half the size, and have less weight, so it's not as much strain on the engine. Plus there is an inherent balance built into the engine, even without a counterbalance shaft. Of course, it wouldn't be any good for tricks, and motocross, but as an enduro and trails bike, a parallel twin is easier to kick start, smoother running, and easier on the chain and sprockets, and tire.

    As for as cinematography/story I'd give it to Jimmy Hill. As far as tricks, I'd give it to Axell. However Axell's mid section of his video kind of sucked. The halfpipe section and nose willy won him the gold.

  • @codeysnow2980
    @codeysnow2980 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    All you guys sick about Axell winning need to get over yourself. They scored it on riding, camera work, and editing. Slay killed it in all three. So Renner twitch and Mason dont know what theyre talking about? Renner even said if you do use a ramp to do something creative. Which Axell did. Rahas was sick but the editing just wasnt there. I mean the camera guy is a camera kid. They'll be back with an even sicker real moto. Dont hate because you cant potate...

    Does nobody else get why the put haaker on first? He says it’s perfectly at the end of his interview. “Real moto is being on the bike and time outside of it doesn’t exist”(highly doubt I quoted that word for word). Filming played a big part and I agree different filmers or cameras may be an advantage but what haaker said is what everyone wanted to see. Someone lost in time riding. All these guys showed that including axell even on ramps. When you submit your clip for 2019 give me a shoutout so I can ridicule yours.
