  • Traveling to the Glen Helen Raceway for the next round of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, the new track changes were something that Ricky G was excited about. A bunch of new dirt, a new track layout and a tight and twisty layout was going to provide for a great weekend of racing. A new Crew Chief was brought into play and a new truck setup helped Ricky G overcome track conditions and allow him to feel comfortable and fast in his Pro 2 truck during practice.
Saturday would be the home of qualifying and an increase in confidence level proved to be successful for the young Californian as a seventh-place qualifying effort yielded a great starting position for the days main event. Continuing his goal to finish on the lead lap, the #78 truck got a great start and immediately jumped to a few positions before a flat tire forced him to the hot pits. Falling behind the leaders due to some continued tire issues, Ricky G took the rest of Saturday’s main event to learn for Sunday.
Set to go big or go home on Sunday, Ricky G would push hard to achieve some of his goals as the season begins to wind down. Qualifying fifth, his best start of the season, track conditions decreased throughout the event as Ricky G continued his progressions forward. Running in the seventh position, part failures forced the #78 truck to the pits with two laps remaining.
    Next stop: Arizona.
