Arangetram Galleries: Featuring Ellora Devulapally

Our third arangetram dancer is Ellora Devulapally, whose arangetram journey was a most unusual one. Ellora is a naturally gifted dancer, with innate expressiveness and gracel. She planned to do her arangetram her junior year of high school, then the pandemic happened, and so it was postponed to 1.5 years later. Of course, delaying a major life event that requires so much rigor is very challenging, but Ellora took up the challenge and she used the time to hone her skills, learn new pieces and choreograph her own opening Pushpanjali, composed by Madurai Muralidharan.
Her arangetram took place on June 12, 2021 at the beautiful W83 Sanctuary in NYC. Here are some clips of her pieces. Music is beautifully rendered by Shiv Subramanian, Bala Skandan, Neha Krishnamachary and Jay Gandhi.
Ellora now is a sophomore in college, and she continues to dance and explore
