Awww thank you! It tore up a bit but it was certainly delicious. My daughter HATES bread (and she has the figure to prove it!) but she ADORES my skillet bread. It’s a regular staple around here and so simple . I’m going to have to get myself one of those two-side skillet pans for an easier flip. 🤣 Thank you for subscribing. Poppy, if someone is out of buttermilk, can they substitute regular milk with some vinegar in it? This skillet bread sounds especially good for summer, when you want something like a biscuit but don't want to heat up the oven.
I do that quite often, Merry. I’ll do a tablespoon of vinegar in a cup measure and fill the cup the rest of the way with whole milk. I let sit 5 minutes and it’s pretty much buttermilk. Yes, for warm weather… skillet bread is the way to go!
