The truth about shots from center ice is they look really easy to stop, but in the goalie's perspective they're actually quite tricky if you're not ready to take that shot and the puck is coming at you at a weird trajectory.
I was 3 levels up, 10 rows back behind Cloutier when Lidstrom scored that goal. Ive never heard a full sports arena quieter . . .except for the dozen or so of us cheering Wings fans.
Some of these are beyond beautiful, what I love is how the goalies react to their failures when they let in these goals. I know I would be like wtf did I just do? The last one was the greatest goal I think I have ever seen.
It's crazy how the quality of goaltenders can swing so wildly throughout their career. It's been a while since I followed hockey very strongly, but back then, Quick was considered one of, if not the, best goalies in the league. Of course as a Canes fan, I watched that idea play out on a game-by-game basis with Ward. Some days he'd pull pucks out of the net and get away with it. Some days he'd stick his glove up and watch the slowly lobbed puck from center ice go over top of it.
Bernier had THREE, and you missed one from him (where he chips a puck coming in along the ice over his own shoulder)... and you were missing two tremendous howlers from Toskala - the one where he gloves it into his own net on a floater going wide vs the Sabres, and the legendary 200-foot bouncer vs the Islanders. Leafs fans should have had 3 more on here.
There was one prob around 10 years ago where a leafs goalie tries to pick it up with his glove and slides it into his own net that was worse than all of these
Mike Smith was really trying to blame his own team on that one LOL at 3:13
Of course he did, he's psychotic hahaha
No he wasn’t lol 1 its fucking embarrassing and 2 he was blaming himself just did it in a shitty way lol
Was gonna say the same thing😂 dudes a joke
I love how all these goalies are so confused after these go in😂
As a leaf fan, it all makes sense now as to why bernier was the goalie he was in the blue and white. He learned it from Quick how to let in bloopers!
A lot of leaf goalies in there
Bernier and Quick with multiple yeeeeeesh

No Toskala goal by the Islanders from their own blue line?? That one is legendary!
Did us leafs fans not suffer enough in this video?
I was wondering why that goal wasn't on there either lol
3:11 that was a pretty nice shot tho and heads up play
Lol with each goal I was thinking “it can’t get any worse than that”. Wrong.

to be fair the one at 0:35 did bounce twice and the second one went at least 2 feet higher than the first.
If I don't see smith's 140' goal against the flames I'm gonna be upset.
Johnathon Quick montage lol

as a goalie can tell you there are nights you feel like can stop anything then there are nights you couldnt stop a beach ball
That one in Smith is so funny cuz he is literally yelling at his team why he got beat by guy 200ft away 😂

Can you do 6 on 4 or 6 on 3 moments
mason goal was by far the worst
I thought for sure that you were gonna show that goal given up by Vesa Toskala against the Islanders

HE GOT TIED UP AND LOST HIS STICK!
What about the islanders goal on toskola
When you know you have failed as a goalie😂
Any time a Coyote scores against you, it's a bad goal
Vesa Toskala, you're wanted.
For part 2, I have 2 names for you: Mika Zibanejad, Scott Darling
I’d be so embarrassed if this ever happened to me
What’s funny is most of these goalies are actually good
I'd say scoring from center ice is a high skill play
Compilation of own goals?
the ottawa senators goal horn is so bad
