I have been a fan for almost fifty years and always will be. This is one of the first songs I learnt as a young kid in the early 70's. I remember when he died my mum and all the teachers crying at school that day like we had lost a member of our family. Gone but never to be forgotten. RIP Elvis and thank you for everything.

Totally agree BEARBRUNS, all those facial quirks -- or whatever a male beau believes they are -- are a wonderful display of his emotion : to a DOLL. He sings the lyrics with heart and understanding. Maybe a less confident person would have given a 'wooden' performance (forgive the pun) given any embarrassment they might have experienced, but not Elvis. As a side recommendation: have you see his music to Nicolas NADEAU Free Skate Canadian Nationals 2017 ice-skating routine? This gets my blood pumping. It's a beautiful routine so Elvis has his songs spread in many directions :-).

It is historically a "schwäbische Melodie" out of the 18th century (collected by Friedrich Silcher). Super old German folk song and Elvis made Wooden Heart of it. Often i play that song in a famous tourism place in GErmany in Ruedesheim, Rhine - Drosselgasse. Long time ago during a visit i went also to Tupelo, MS, in the USA and saw the little 2-room-hut, where Elvis lived as child and also saw the place, where he was a soldier in Germany from 1958 till 1960 in Friedberg and living in Bad Nauheim. I was 12 when ELVIS died. He WAS and STILL is my HERO. I know its a "strong" word but it is TRUE.
ELVIS got FED UP with the films as they were the "SAME OLD STORYLINES" but they all MADE MONEY. because the FANS were paying the MONEY to see them. Such different times and different people and watching some of these videos it makes me think of the time that has passed - 55 + years.
Every song is my FAVOURITE. I love them ALL. He could have sung Nursery Rhyme's and i would have love them.

Super old German folk song and Elvis made Wooden Heart of it. Often i play that song in a famous tourism place in GErmany in Ruedesheim, Rhine - Drosselgasse. Long time ago during a visit i went also to Tupelo, MS, in the USA and saw the little 2-room-hut, where Elvis lived as child and also saw the place, where he was a soldier in Germany from 1958 till 1960 in Friedberg and living in Bad Nauheim. Hesse.
