Dan one thing about tire pressure; always check the bikes data tag or owners manual for that info. Sidewall tire pressure markings may differ from those recommended by the manufacturer. This especially true if Non OEM tires are fitted to the bike.

John Beyl I was going to say this too. The recommended pressure is usually a bit lower than the pressure written on the tyre

I second this. Additionally, the motorcycle manufacturer may call for different tire pressures dependent on the application. For example: on my bike it is 29 psi for the rear tire without a passenger. With a passenger, it should be inflated to 36 psi (all of this info can be found in the owners manual).

Is the recommendation to check your bike before your ride before you get on the road from home? I don’t picture doing a quick check when I get back on the road from the gym, grocery store, or work.

Do you have to start the bike to check oil pressure?

Dude! I LOVE those tires!!! What are those tires? One thing I can't understand is why are so many tires almost bald (very little actual tread) when you buy them? Seems to me that the better the tread, the better the traction. If I'm wrong, please let me know. I am a fairly new rider.

Check what the bike says your tyre pressure should be, not the tyre. Tyres are designed to go on all different sorts of bikes. Reading from what the bike says is the most accurate

You have a Harley. That’s not leaking oil. Your bike is just marking its territory.😁

Nice job DanDan! We live, and ride in Phoenix, and it's nice to have a "local" take on riding in the desert, especially from someone with a medical background. Keep 'em coming.
The pressure listed on a tire's sidewall is the "maximum" pressure recommended, NOT the running pressure! For the correct running pressure, refer to the bike's manual or the sticker located on/around your swingarm. Usually two pressures will be given, a light load and heavy load, choose accordingly. Remember, riding two-up/fully loaded with gear will require an adjustment too. Also, minor changes for comfort, handling, terrain and weather are perfectly acceptable.
