    Who is going to know these carbs and distributors in 20 years? I hope these videos survive, its such a good idea to record this mechanic working on a 1942 machine. Thanks for posting!

    I built my 45 with the books you have here, and a few more. Never wrenched on a Harley, or watched it happen. Wish I would have had this guy five years ago. He gets to it without delay, and rolls a few while on the fly. Great camera work also, I've watched enough bad recordings to know the difference. Getting ready to go play in traffic now. thank you.

    Love the videos. Do you have anything on the throttle handle? Mine sticks when the end cap is tightened all the way. Cheers

    "Technically" its a "circuit breaker" or "timer" as per manuals and parts books as well if you want to get critical.. No distributer, it doesn't distribute anything but anxiety if you don't have it set right Excellent though, well done

    I notice Ash keeps his manual well-protected. Can you please tell me which manual he uses in this video.
    Thanks.

    Great program .Got a question. I was watching a video and the guy went out of his way to say that the timing mark line goes to the right of the window not center. You started the bike first kick. As did he. What's the right answer. Thanks. Cheers.

      Hi Robery - happy new year! BTW Ash answered your question in this weeks Q&A th-cam.com/video/pgKsmwEw1As/w-d-xo.html

    • @ono147
      @ono147 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He didn't really answer though. the mark to the right of the hole makes for a more advanced timing. I really don't muck around much with the advance retard grip, and with todays gas, it adds a bit of pep with the advanced position.

      @@ono147 thanks. I've just took a interest in these old Harleys. I'm a die hard Triumph man. And I watched two programs were they both said to put the line a bit to the center of the window. I tend to go with what Ash recommends. The man's knowledge is amazing. I see you just posted a video. Got to check it out. Later. RMM

      @@roberymcgoff1904 Yeah it's cool. I learned it from several luminaries in the Antique Motorcycle Club of America. Bob Ross, George Hood, Johnny Eagles etc etc. and am now very experienced myself on all my bikes.
