As a Boro fan, I have to say this is a fantastic video! You sound exactly like a well-informed boro fan! One thing I’d like to highlight is just how much of a good goalkeeper Seny Dieng is, I can’t find a weakness in his game. He’s a big upgrade on Steffen (who I liked a lot). I think we will get top 6 again this season and I feel as though recent performances show a perfect blend of quality & battling for every ball🤞🏼 I’ve liked and subscribed - keep up the good work!

As soon as we lost in last seasons playoffs I predicted the return of 5 loanees who were on fire would leave us as a mid table force in 2023 season. The loss of Chuba just added salt to the wounds. Even so I hadn’t expected us to have the worst start to a season in our history; that was a big surprise. The only bigger surprise is how Carrick has managed to turn it round so quickly and we are now only one game off a playoff slot. Amazing. Up the Boro!!
As a Boro fan brilliant video. New sub here. I’m an expert in cluster B personality disorders. Trolls are within that spectrum. They feed off emotions as they need to recreate the hostility around them when they were children. Most are borderline personality types, with secondary psychopathy. The secondary bit is the highly narcissistic trait they possess. Just know, to be a troll, they feed off that emotion and drama. They can not self regulate their own emotions.
Great video fella. Regarding Sam Greenwood, although he is on loan it got reported a few weeks ago that there is an option to buy at the end of the season. Nice to know that if he does perform that there's a good chance of us keeping him.
30+ yr boro fan here. Great assessment. IMHO, while we've certainly had periods where we've had much higher quality players, (Juninho, Ravanelli, Emerson, Hasselbank etc.) both the big run last season and the run we're currently on, I've never seen boro play such good quality team based attacking footy. We have a purpose as a team, we know how we're going to win games, and we have lots of players who can operate in our system. Hope we can hang on to Carrick for a good long time.

Selfishly, I’d like to see a Wolves video in the near future. I think it’s a little premature but in a month or twos time, when Gary O Neil has had slightly longer to mould the team to play how he wants them to, I think it could be a fun video.

Great video! Really well researched and informative video. I'm a Boro fan myself and found myself nodding along with you all the way through. Personally it doesn't bother me that you are referring to your other screen at times, as you say you will always need pointers to remind you. This maintains the integrity of your content for me. The blip at the end of last season was missed by many and I was a little concerned at the start of this season, however I knew i would come good once the new signings bedded in. We are on a good roll now and I hope it continues! UTB 🙂
We lost the loans and Akpom and it killed us mate. We have replaced them with unknown types in the hope a few will come good to sell at a profit. Not having the sqaud ready for the start of the season doesnt help. We ended up playing 3 or 4 players with little experience and Rogers upfront who isnt a front man. It is looking decent at the minute and we are trying to move away from the reliance on the loan market too heavily. It seems we missed out on another striker as Coburn was practically gone to plymouth. I looks like the plan was for Plymouth to take the risk on Coburn stepping up a level but now we have been forced to take that risk. Injuries before January, particularly upfront, could be a problem. Also i mentioned on another comment but we have had 5 left back's and 4 right backs so far, hard to keep clean sheets in this case. Great content, UTB

Great vid mate. Couple of other thoughts on why we finished last season and started this one slowly: 1. The absence of Jonny Howson - captain and midfield lynch-pin. When he plays well we win, when we doesn't we typically struggle - covers bags of ground and helps to compose the younger lads around him, missed the final 6/7 games of last season and first 4/5 of this. Watch his assist against Saints for what we've been missing 2. The resurgence of Izzy Jones. Unplayable under Wilder but went missing last season due to personal issues. Returned with a bang in the last 3-4 games and been a huge part of our success this season

Also we started the season without any fit full-backs. As you discussed Smith/Giles were vital to how we played last season and with injuries/slow transfer dealings we started this season with McNair (a CB) at RB and Coulson (a winger who's frankly not good enough) at LB

Interesting analysis. It's no surprise Carrick and McKenna at Ipswich play very similar systems, something they came up with when they both worked at Manchester United together as coaches.

Steffen was awful we now have a keeper for the first time since Randolph in Dieng who’s so calm in all aspects you want from a keeper Steffen looked like a rabbit in the headlights whenever a ball went into the box and more so with corners we’ve improved in goals for sure! I personally think Riley is better then Ramsey just my opinion We are lucky to have Jones back to himself and feeling better in himself Watching our game on Saturday vs Birmingham we have a great player potentially in Greenwood who we have an option to buy so it’s not the same as our previous loans thankfully 1.5 million is the option and so far I’d take him for that price without a doubt! However I think the only thing we miss is a goal scorer an out an out striker so either Archer or Chuba as we have people who create chances Engel has improved massively in the last 4 games he is a better defender then giles just not as good when it comes to deliveries Bangura is extremely quick we haven’t really got to see him yet But I think all we miss is Archer or Chuba I don’t personally think we need both back just one would be enough As I don’t care how much our fans want it for him as I’m one of them as well I wish him the absolute best but Corburn just isn’t good enough up front and currently with the squad we have I have no idea why Forss isn’t playing as the main striker With the likes of Rodgers Greenwood Riley (first choice) crooks etc around him and jones we have plenty of players who can score but also feed Forss who I believe is the best out and out striker at the club currently hopefully till January So apart from the loss of Archer & Chuba I actually think we are better off and we are just lacking out and out striker and we had a shocker of a finish and start to the season people forget they go on about Chuba and all the loan players we had but like you said we lost our last 5 games and looked awful so was it the players? Excellent video. As a Boro fan I was disappointed to lose Chuba, Archer and Ramsay, but delighted to get rid of Steffen and Giles. Despite his assists, he was defensively the worst left back I have seen at the Boro. He cost us the goal in the play off semi and it speaks volumes that he has already been dropped by Luton. Steffen was great with the ball at his feet but is a terrible shot stopper and doesn't know when to come for crosses. Fingers crossed for the new signings, I don't think all of them will make the grade, but like the look of Dieng , Van Den Berg and Greenwood.
The team isn't as good as last season hence the poor start , however we're steadily improving but I can't predict anything better than top ten as things stand.UTB.
