Welcome to Camp Peculiar a resource for visual storytellers using ai art to support their webcomics, graphic novels or animated comic strips. Today, MidJourney as down for maintenance so we fired up Stable Diffusion using the Photoshop Plugin by Christian Cantrell and came up with a little ai comics project.
We let Stable Diffusion draw whatever panels it wants from a prompt and then I have to pick three images from those ai generated comic panels and tell a story with the what it created. It's a writing challenge, its a being funny challenge with some helpful tips a long the way.

Double ironic because I was using Stable Diffusion because Midjourney was being unstable :0

Murky! Whats up. Thanks for the comment. Started a graphic novel = still working on it or waiting for technology to mature more? We'd love to hear more about it, super exciting and, like you said, super interesting process. Consistency of artwork is hard. Being constrained by what art you you can get to generate versus what you see in your head, also hard. Story should always lead art, but with ai, sometimes its the other way around, at least for now. Keep creating.

@@camppeculiar Thanks for your response! I totally feel you on that... I have been kind of going with a "faceless" model, focusing on environmental storytelling. I am learning a lot from your videos! Your comics are lovely! I am on page 60 of my graphic novel and feeling a bit stuck at the moment...

@@knotsinallthings Thanks for the kind words. It's hard to know when to push through and finish and when to throw in the towel and put the learned lessons towards something else. I say keep going, simplify the story, if possible, and just get from scene to scene, but I totally understand if thats not feasible or if you are burnt out on it. Thanks for watching, keep creating.
