Recently discovered that old fashioned sponge tip applicators work well for certain shadows such as Colourpop super shock, and glitter shadows. Found a container of applicators for $5 at Ulta... keeps my fingers and shadows clean.
I learned that from Stephanie Nicole last year and haven't looked back since. I hate putting my fingers in my makeup and I don't have much lid space so pointed sponge applicators give me much more control.
@@cjordan919 A few brands make reusable silicone applicators, I think Elf has one, but I haven't tried it so I don't know if the effect is the same as the sponge. Could be worth checking out since Elf is affordable. Or you could spend $27 for Surratt Beauty's version 😉

Extreme kudos to you Mel, for mentioning the glitter. I’m a massive girlie girl, and went through a very gratuitous glitter phase, but my last ophthalmology appointment, my optical doc said I have several scratches on my cornea, and he suggested avoiding glitter eye products, he said it can happen, and you won’t even necessarily feel it, so I’ve had a big shift to just shimmers and metallic shades. So thanks for looking out for us, and being thoughtful in your reviews 👍🏼👏🏼💞
I agree Mel. This palette has Carli all over it. Been following her for years. Such a beauty. Inside and out. I have a container of wedges handy for the same use you did. But also for setting down a thin layer of powder around my lips so the liner and lipstick doesn't bleed out. Works like a charm. 😊
I have lived Carly Bybel for a long time. I actually have the palette she did with Bh cosmetics and I love the highlighters in it. I do love the looks you did and I love the packaging, it’s so girly. I do however wish there was more deeper mattes but overall it’s a gorgeous palette. ❤️❤️

This is a really pretty palette and after watching you and Wayne Goss review it, I was ready to buy but changed my mind at the last minute because I'd only use the cool tones. I have a lot of palettes I bought for a few shades only and I recently stopped doing that!
This is the first ABH pallet that I have found appealing since the Norvina pallet. I live the cool tones in it. Colourpop is also releasing A black and silver pallet. I already have too much, so am passing on it. I bought the Makeup Atelier Black and White pallet, When it seemed no one was making silver pallets. I also have pallets that contain cool tones included Juvia’s Place pallets, Viseart, as well as Colourpop and others, so I am good. It does warm my cool toned leaning heart that ABH released a pallet that included them. You looks are beautiful and glad you are feeling better, although you look great as usual.

I don’t like to use fingers with eyeshadow (or any makeup), as well. For those types of shadows, I use those sponge tip applicators that come in some drugstore palettes. (I bought my applicators at Amazon. Just do a search for disposable applicators.)

Ahhh, no... I just couldn’t the sparkle and depth to come across on camera. One is very much like a slate gray and the other is a purple
They work for a winter release too, so Im not surprised that they released it during fall.

I grabbed the palette, just got it yesterday and it is really pretty. I agree its wearable. I thought it was similar to Riviera, but its different enough.

I absolutely loved both looks that you did, especially the first one........You are right, when you look at the Palette it has Carli written all over it......It’s different to other Anastasia duet Palettes and that is what I love about it. Do any new Palettes that come out ever scare you? By not knowing what looks to do???......Or you can just see a look in it automatically and just pull it all together? This Palette scared me a bit. I wouldn’t know where to start......You are SO talented Mel. I love watching you with new Palettes!! I don’t like to use fingers with eyeshadow (or any makeup), as well. For those types of shadows, I use those sponge tip applicators that come in some drugstore palettes. (I bought my applicators at Amazon. Just do a search for disposable applicators.)
