This team went 9-2 with all their players, 8-5 with their Big 3, and 5-0 with KD and Book (without Beal)... the real issue is BEAL... they simply cannot play Beal along with KD or Book as he is too small, doesn't defend well, gets outmatched by anyone and is a low efficiency shooter taking away shots from better scorers. Since his contract is so bad, they need to try bringing him off the bench or just not playing him. If you look at the numbers in detail ... Suns best team +/- is with Tyus, Book, KD, Dunn, Oso. Miami has seven undrafted guys on the team. It is possible to find guys that can help the Suns without draft picks. You can also just buy late second round picks sometimes, Warriors did that last year. Warriors found TJD late second round, and a guy like that would have been a huge help for the Suns. First step is firing the front office people who don’t know talent and make awful trades, hire people who know what a good basketball player looks like and who realize the Suns need a good power forward and have needed one this whole time and goes and gets one.
In hindsight, I'm not sure what the Suns could've done to truly re-enter title contention after their thrashing at the hands of the Mavericks. Trading Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton did not yield good returns. Trading for Durant was questionable given his age and decline and the depth and assets given up for him. Trading for Beal was the death nail. Also, how does he still have a no-trade clause if he waived it to get traded to Phoenix? Blowing it up is the best option at this point.

To me everything came down to one thing, the suns didn't want to do the Durant trade if Bridges was involved, Bridges and Booker were reportedly the only two untouchables, After almost a year of the Nets refusing to do the deal unless the Suns included Bridges with the half a decade of picks and multiple other starting caliber players, the Suns ownership finally caved, and in so doing, doomed the suns. Giving up half a decade of picks, they could live with that. Giving up Cam Johnson hurt, but they have since gotten comparable players to fill his role. And while Jae Crowder was an okay role player, not only was he refusing to play at the time, but if they still had Bridges they could have lived with out him. But giving up all of that plus bridges meant they lacked a starting caliber forward to play along side KD, AND they lacked forward bench depth, which meant they got killed every time the starters rested. Everything that happened after that, the CP3 for Beal trade, the Ayton for Nurk and Allen trade, didn't really matter. Neither CP3 nor Ayton have given the Suns any reason to regret those trades. Beal's contract was worse then CP3s, but who were they signing this last offseason who moves the needle if they had cut CP3 and thus weren't still under the thumb of a bad contract like they are right now with Beal? The answer is no one, the team would just be a little worse then they already are. Would the Nets have ever have relented about Bridges if the Suns kept holding out? Impossible to know. If the Nets did relent, though, I think the Suns become a perennial top team in the league, and still are to this day, whether they made the CP3 and Ayton moves or not. If the nets don't relent, and the suns don't cave, maybe the suns target some one else, maybe KD forces his way to the suns by refusing to play until they make the trade, or maybe the suns are more or less in the same position today, perennial play off team whose likely never winning it all, but with all their picks, Cam Johnson, and Mikal Bridges. In pretty much all realities, however, I believe the suns are better off then they are in this one, all because they caved and tossed in Bridges, vastly over paying for an old KD, and leaving the team with out the forward depth that a team needs to be successful.
Ishbia traded for KD within 48 hours after taking over ownership of the Suns. It's not ever considered 'caving' when it's a decision made while walking through the door for the first time. Sarver was not going to trade for KD but then some little dweeb from ESPN named Homer wanted to make a name for himself and went around digging for anything around the association and after talking to former Suns employees he came out with an opinion article which went viral and forced the NBA to start an investigation on Sarver and eventually force him out. Booker got along with Sarver but I don't think that he likes Ishbia that much.
@@michaellockhart6632 But the suns were linked to KD for something like a year before that, with the reports (at least all the ones I saw) pretty consistently indicating the suns were interested, KD was interested, but that the Sun's refusal to include Bridges in the trade was the hold up on the Nets side. @@And.One.Hoops1Doing nothing is often time what gets teams over the top nowadays. Home-grown talent, letting chemistry grow. Look at the Cavs & OKC
They blew it by trading for Beal.I think they slightly overpaid for KD, but only because they gave up three first rd picks.Mikal Bridges & Cam Johnson are decent/good starters, but quickly became overrated by Suns fans. The Beal trade sealed their fate.Should've used that cap space to balance out the roster.
@@dirtyface-capone7622 Lol Matt Ishbia got in there & started playing NBA 2K. Wonder who gets to fire the Owner?
@@taihaul2480over the top in what sense? They havent won any chips yet.
Suns won’t trade him, KD sells ticket and they do have slim chance of winning this season if things go right around the end of the season
The definitely will trade him, and he’s likely to be traded. They’ll either give the team a week before the trade deadline, or they’ll push through the season and trade him during the off season. If you’re not winning, gotta trade while they have value to get at least 70-80% of what was lost back.
Hopefully teams learn from the dumb suns management stop trading the future away for washes up superstars past their prime
I like how everyone blames so many other factors besides the obvious one (which was covered in the video): this team's chemistry outright sucks and its because it was put together horribly. It's like a 10 yr old got to pick the roster. Its laughably bad; I said it when the Beal trade was made and their odds shot up....and i'm gonna keep saying it because apparently even sports analysts these days are too stupid to realize it.
Never should have traded for Durant
Pual was truly the leader of this team. Hey he wasn't putting up 20 a night but 8 assists night nah nothing to overlooked. Booker not a floor general either is beal. Literally everyone one this team is a shooters with no defense and really little passing iq
They should of never traded for beal or nurk they should of traded for a rim protector and 3 and d guys to surround them
Indeed...
They traded away/let walk role players and bench depth
Jamaal aflatooni u are such a robot

Get rid of the GM and Administration etc. As soon as they got Beal, it's obvious they don't know anything about basketball
KD should have just punched Draymond. Curry would have more rings than LeBron right now. Oh well 🤷🏽♂️
KD for fox ? Give us k Murray and we’ll give up whatever picks we have left too lol
Don’t be a doomer people said the same thing for the Lakers, but this trade js helping the team:)
gutting that drafted core for KD was a mistake, even if he is a generational talent. Terminal levels of New Owner syndrome
Yep, and it would have been different if it was KD at age 26, not when he was on the wrong side of 30
He’s a generational losing player that absolutely annihilates franchise… LeBron is a “generational “ talent y’all throw these labels on anyone who does a fancy move before the ball hits the net smh.
Trade Booker to the Pacers for Siakam and Mathurin and a first round pick
I hate 2 say it but I actually agree
Kd should go to Dallas
Trade the big 3
KD Beal , rid cp3, not trade Ayton
All are wrong moves
Rebuilding is the only way to choose
Nurkic to lakers
For who ? Lol
no bro just trade beal for somebody like cam thomas and a role player it’s simple
as a nets fan youre deranged. why would we give up cam thomas who is 24 and can become an all star for old ass beale and a crappy pick? cam. would require 4 first round picks minimum and a good role player and we want cam so whats the point
@ because yall not gone do nun with him but waste his prime ngl what do yall have to look forward to?
@ and you could trade beal to another contender 🤷
@@lilwankster1073 first off if we were to trade cam thomas which i dont want we wouldnt trade him to the pathetic suns and i actually like the suns. secondly we have 15 first round draft picks and 15 second round draft picks over the next 6 years and cap space. no team has a brighter future. thats why old giannis and butler said they would play with the nets. nearly every player that plays here likes the franchise.
Basketball is a funny sport. Theirs only one ball so if you don’t have players that play defense, get rebounds, steals, extra possessions; the little stuff they F’d, they roster is so trash top to bottom how they have the highest paid roster 😂😂😂😂. Out of idk how many 15-18 players on the roster they only have like 4 players I’d take on my team. They don’t have many good, legit NBA players. They have guys like Bol Bol 😂😂😂 Okigie 😫 Nurk 😭😭😭😭💀💀 I wouldn’t even take Bradley Beal on my team. And how they draft looking ? KD once again absolutely obliterate another franchise without bringing a championship he is a franchise annihilator 🤣🤣🤣😁
Trade Durant & Booker. Get picks!! Rebuild for 2027/28
KD is trash.. only good with the dubs
Trade Kevin Durant.
Get rid of booker.he is the problem. They went out got him choke p 3 and choked.thenkong k.d. failed then bum Bradley choke. If kong is hurt.booker can't put team on shoulders like koby Jordan james.he is trash.
A rumor is that KD might go to Dallas. But its just a rumor
Dallas have to gutted out entire roster outside of Luka & Kyrie. They’ll be significantly worse and I doubt Suns will take that trade to begin with
KD a losing player dawg. He literally destroy’s every franchise he’s been on… he leaves behind a nuke in every city he’s gone to. Draymond was right to push him out trying to eat off they legacy Dray said get ya bum ahh on we can win without you and sure did, KD ain’t sniff a hint of success since and he’s played with some of the best players in the league. If he’s not a losing player idk who is yet nobody ever talks about it. Meanwhile when LeBron come thru there finna be a parade inside yo city yeah.

He needs his daddy steph to win him another win
The lack of competent front offices is a huge factor to the League’s decline of audience, how stupid would the suns have to be to trade their 2031 pick when they are almost undoubtedly going to be terrible, they’re terrible NOW with 2 future hof’ers and another star and have no ways to try and improve the team it doesn’t take a genius to realize its OVER Kd ain’t what he used to be and book ain’t enough to carry them and Beal is the worst contract in sports
Kurvin darant n bok overrated asf, Love seeing the downfall of the phoenix bums
Elise LeBron went to the Miami heat learn how to win and start winning after that KD left golden left OKC went to Golden State and left Golden State and can't win nothing
Maybe you're over the right and Durant's skills cuz what OKC he couldn't do it with golden state he did it without them he can't do it so obviously he ain't a lawyer or a great player like you're supposed to be the man is just a great score that's it how many MVPs he got one come on bro stop it y'all overhyped Kevin Durant cuz he's a great scholar and tall okay everybody's a great score in the league most of the starters I'll say that
