GRS is a great system. If you can afford to get it, you will be forever blessed. It makes working at the bench a great pleasure. No more having to hold things with one hand. It's pricey, but worth the money. It's made my life at the bench much less hard. I have arthritis in my hands so anything to give me a break is appreciated.
I got the steel pin too that's a , game changer to saw on top stuff ! Agree like it with out the stuff on top ,love the ring jig works well ! Thank you for the reviews on these products .and the top info ! @@jacothejeweller
Great video, thanks! As a hobby jeweller for the past 9 years or so I very quickly discovered that this wonderful profession is not cheap! I have invested in the benchmate system, Durston rolling mill, hammers, Smiths mini torch, dividers galore, magnetic tumblers, ultrasonic cleaners, bezel blocks.....the list is truly endless (as I'm sure you know!) and still I find more tools I either want or need! The only thing I'm seriously short of is time due to my day job, oh and heat in the garage during the UK winter... everything gets coated in condensation, that's a killer!
I feel ya Paul - I’m running a dehumidifier over night and it has made a huge difference to how the workshop feels. I finally started insulating my summer house and should be done by January. Sounds like your workshop is stocked up that side. Thanks for watching 👍🏻
@@jacothejeweller I was working in a rotten wooden shed for a few years. I had a garage built at the bottom of the garden, it's a lot better than the shed and nowhere near as cold, but still cold. But I really do need to insulate my workspace. A job for the new year.
@@paulkiley4667 😄it’s exactly what I promised myself last year - I get so involved at the bench that winter surprises me every time. Best of luck with the year to come and have a great Christmas Paul - keep at it.
@@jacothejeweller Oh I'll keep at it, have no fear of that. And it isn't the investment I've put into it either. I just love to make things that people can actually appreciate. I only wish I'd known what I wanted to do when I was younger I'd have surely trained to be a jeweller. At least I have a master jewellery trainer at hand (Via video, and I've met him a couple of times) to show the way. I'm currently in the middle of a traditional solitiare ring, a first for me but I'll get there! Have a fantastic christmas.
Thank you Charl, I have a Silair silent compressor running that air graver which is used for airbrushing too so I’ve often thought to get one. Sounds like fun.

You are always welcome buddy 💪🏻
Aaah, I want all these. I'm more of a painter, so my next big art purchase is a compressor and decent airbrush. Nice vid

Don Glasser invented the Bench mate probably spelling his name wrong the founder of GRS.
The man deserves a prize for it. Legend 👊🏻
Great picks!
Thanks John, some real gems these are.
I’m so sad, the Alex tools dividers are sold out everywhere.
Such a little spoil. I hope you track one down soon 🤞🏻
