  • In this video, I open up Reaper and show you some composition, orchestration, and mixing tips that will help you make ethereal choirs like in The Elder Scrolls Series. OSTs like Skyrim and The Elder Scrolls Online feature these soft choirs, but there might be more behind them than just vocalist. Even if you are in FL Studio, Logic, Cubase, or Ableton, these tips can help you out too. Let me know what you want to see next!!

Nice tips Joshua, would be amazing if you could do a live composition in Hollywood orientalist style like Lawrence of Arabia theme song, there is almost no videos covering this type of music we often ear in Mummy films or desert adventures.

I had to subscribe. I'm really interested by Reaper because of its price and its potential. Really want to get into production but don't wanna drop insane stacks on FL, Ableton, Pro Tools... Thanks for the great videos!

Awesome! You've inspired me to literally dust off my digital piano and midi keyboard. I'm really enjoying the variety of genres in your tutorials, too. I would love to see a tutorial on how to translate musical ideas from your mind into the piano roll. For example, if you have a musical idea like a melody or bassline, how do you get that down into the piano roll and then figure out what key/mode to build on it? Is there a process/technique that can be followed? Thanks.

Hey! I'm so glad I could give you some inspiration! That'd be a great video idea. I'll definitely add that to my list and put something together where I generate a melody and build from it. There are actually a ton of useful methods that I use when I get stuck.

hey Bro, do i need to learn whole music theory stuff to be a piano player?

Hey! I would say no if your goal is to perform from sheet music made by composers. That being said, if you want to improvise and play jazz, r&b, or write your own songs then learning theory is a lot more important. It serves more as a tool for generating material than anything that dictates how you play. It can really give insight into analyzing music, writing music, and learning new styles.
