Almost two hours of dialogue, and not once did either one of them say "I love you"? Call me a hopeless romantic, but that's some bulls@%# lol. Sure they kissed a couple times, but really? Even after Merrin almost got the Padme treatment? Wasted opportunity if you ask me lol.
I feel the reverse though.. I like it that it wasnt said, I prefer that it be shown and not told, and in these 2 games, it was shown.. I loved every bit of it! and now that its established, in the 3rd game, I don't mind it that it'll be said it in a reminding scene like "you know i love you.." while they cheekishly laugh or something.. just subtle things here and there that showed that the relationship has developed :)
@Jedd Joseph I'm not saying I didn't see the relationship development, it was something that appeared to me to be something both of them wanted to say. Merrin looked as though she was waiting to hear it at the very least and Cal wanted to say it but never got around to it. I could be overanalyzing the MOCAP body language and facial expressions but that's what I saw lol.
I don't think they have to, they only need to show it to one another. If either one say "I love you" then, it will be more meaningful than just saying it a gazillion times daily
