- He scores a perfect head shot on Sean, despite the fact that he was bleeding out and lying on his back
- Kills Carlo with a perfect shot between the eyes when Jackie Jr. tries to rob the card game
- Shoots a biker from a moving vehicle that's half a block away when he and Tony are robbing the booze from their club
I've used Paulie's "remember your first BJ" joke on a dozen or more people and its worked a treat every time

The sopranos is brilliant, the dark humour throughout the series is class. Every character in the show is spot on.
The writer comes from real emotional shit...that is why.
It is difficult to come up with the most entertaining scene in the Sopranos but this one has to be close to the best .It was a great because of the way Tony delivered the lines and the way Junior reacted .

There IS a lot more to the real psychics than people know. Obviously, in this script, Paulie was dealing with a real psychic. I have had similar revelations made thru psychics to me that could have only come through the person they claimed to be relaying for.
Amazing scene. I love how its undeniably supernatural, that guy was channeling and actually speaking to the dead lol.

That scene beats every Scorcese mobfight showdown scene - best action sequence in the genre; high paced raw violence with Tony listening to the moans and screams like its a good piece of music.

One of the first things I did when lockdown started was begin my yearly viewing of the entire series.
I know I don't understand why I just don't watch it over but here I am consuming it piecemeal and probably way over the actual hours of the series cuz several scenes I've seen several hundred times by now.

Federico Castelluccio is a cool guy - he's an artist of some renown, in addition to being an actor - and although he is American, his family spoke Italian at home, so he could do a very convincing accented English as well as speaking perfect Italian.

There's something so wholesome about season 2. Sometimes I just want to stay in this world and not move on. Furious is here, Adriana hasn't flipped, Pussy is still around, Chris is still making his bones, Junior and Tony are on decent terms, Bobby is comic relief, Jackie Jr. is a blip on the map but still alive, Gismonte and Drinkwater get theirs, Richie gets his, Melfi is unscathed, there's no Ralphie, there's no Shaw around messing stuff up, that animal Blundetto isn't screwing stuff up, AJ is still fat and innocent, and Meadow is still a bitch. It's just a good time in the Sopranos world.

A primary point of the show is how the lifestyle is unsustainable. We caught them in the sweet spot in season 2, and even then they were struggling. Then it all falls apart.

6:18 Furio’s entrance into the game is absolutely classic. This scene is one of my all-time favorites.
Sets the bar a lot higher for all the other people in Tony's crew. This was like Furios first job in a company. He wanted to make an impression so there is no evaluation on the quality of his work😂

Paulie always makes me laugh when he makes a joke then immediately repeats it.
It's so realistic to insecure men with big egos to act all big and tough but he's showing his insecurity by making sure everyone heard his joke. You'd never see something like that in another mafia film cos they are so fake the characters are like robots.
It's the purpose of the show; to show what mafia life is really like with real people and real emotions, unlike the Godfather. Like how they all put on this big bravado but behind the scenes Tony has panic attacks and sees a therapist, which is a big big no-no in the mob.
I love that scene where he kicks the black guy out of his house cos he doesn't want him to see his daughter due to his ethnicity, then he immediately goes and eats Italian food which shows how he uses food as a coping mechanism and also shows the Italian culture towards black people back then (and also now in Italy tbh). Then he opens the cupboard and it zooms in on Uncle Ben's face and he immediately has a panic attack cos you can tell deep down he doesn't think what he did was right but that's all he knows.
It's stupid.

6:18 Furio truly was a master at the art of making a memorable first impression. Works the whole room...front to back, takes the time meet all the guests, and isn't offended when he gets a little blood and bone fragments on his good clothes.
Tony and Carmela's fights were fucking brutal. Especially in the later seasons. Incredible acting.
I love that scene where Tony's eating Dinner and Carmela just rubs his back. Very subtle and relatable.

I love how the series transitions slowly. Seasons 1 & 2 have more comedic elements, Seasons 3 & 4 are half comedy, half drama, and Seasons 5 & 6 are mainly gut-wrenching drama.
one thing that never changed is Tony's obsession with Gary Cooper, the strong silent type
And Tony consistently became fatter and his breathing heavier
