Seeing the King overcome with emotion shows he is a good person
Such a soft-hearted man who has been treated so viciously; and still, he serves. May God bless him with many more happy years. God save the King.
I like how every time the anthem is played for Charles he allways has that one look on his face, just like the time it was first played for him.

In my opinion of following Charles life for over fifty years I would say he has done more for the country than his mother ever did. He cares deeply about the country and its people, traditions, countryside, craftsmen, craftswomen, inner city, those less fortunate, environment, wildlife,farmers, art, historical buildings, and people of all backgrounds. I just wished he was King twenty years ago. The most overqualified man to ever become a King.

I come from Poland, I moved here four times, I lived in the USA, Spain, Germany. But only when I hear the Polish Anthem and Great Britain, tears roll down my cheeks. Many people think that the monarchy is only the splendor and expense of the state and some relic, a monolith of the past. And yet, in sad circumstances such as the funeral of a king or queen, or a coronation, or children ... a succession to the throne ... how it unites the Nation. This is history, identity, the history of generations embodied in the heir to the throne.

I feel the same and concur with your thoughts exactly. It (the UK) will always remain a special part of Europe given it's Island heritage, and disposition as a previous major force within the world stage. Who knows, maybe CANZUK will happen after all, and history will repeat itself. With all that's going on the world stage at present I believe such movement would work to bring world peace throughout the majority of the 21st century. The US cannot do it alone, and the US-UK secret relationship wouldn't mind seeking further underpinning. Hear, hear to the King!
As I was singing this anthem for the first time, my eyes welled up. Then I thought about his mum and tears flowed.

His majesty took on a singularly difficult task - to follow one of the greatest Monarchs of this country. But he has done the job being King in his own way, never put a foot wrong and is lauded by ordinary people wherever he goes because he stops, chats, shakes hands and has a laugh. He is both human and Sovereign. Recently caught by mountain bikers in Scotland out on his own for walk in the hills he stopped and chatted and had a smile with them for quite a few minutes. No side or pomposity at all. The bikers caught it all on headcams and the King never knew.
How he has represented this country abroad has been a huge success. Diplomacy of the very highest order - Speaking German in the German parliament, speaking French in the French Senate both of which brought standing ovations from hard nosed politicians.
And when some republican threw an egg at him he thought it was hilarious.
A good man who has done us proud and has very firm principles of duty and service.

I am continually amazed at how much the British people love their royal family. For 70 + years they celebrated the life of their late Queen Elizabeth II thru good times and bad times - but they (the British people) always knew that their Queen was there to serve her people and serve she did with grace and dignity. And now her son King Charles III assumes her place not as a replacement but as a loyal follower in the footsteps of one so beloved by her people. I celebrate with the British people so much of their pagentry, so much of their loyalty, so much of their love of their royals and I wish we here in the United States cared only a fraction as much as the British do for their King as we show for our President. King Charles III is a good man, President Joseph Biden is a good man - they both try their best to serve their people to the best of their abilities even with adversity. God save your King and God save our President.

Yes there were times that the late Queen Elizabeth II seemed to be standoffish, but it was the policy of all previous royals to behave the same way. But people who met with the Queen, people who knew the Queen knew she was a very gracious woman, a kind and funny woman, a woman who cared. I know she was very unpopular during the troubles" in Ireland" but understand the Queen has little power - the power is now in Parliament and the House of Lords and the Prime Minister picked by the people. You have no sense at all of how terribly bad the Queen felt when men of the British military were being killed in Ireland and even Lord Mount Batten a close relative was killed by the IRA - you have to know how hurt the Queen was - but you will never accept that she suffered pain and hurt - she wasn't allowed to show any emotion. I honestly don't even know if the royals were ever allowed to vote in any elections. And yes again when Princess Diana was killed at the hands of a drunken driver - people in Britain said the government killed her - rubbish - the Queen stayed at Balmoral and the entire country was angry and called her all kinds of names but were I in her position I would have done the same - what the unfeeling people of Britain didn't seem to realize was that she was a Grandmother and she had two grieving grandsons to look after and care for - a task greater than running back to Buckingham Palace to show her face. She had two grandsons to care for, she had a grieving son to care for, she had a grieving family to care for and she herself was grieving because she did in fact like Diana even though Diana was, face the fact, to young to be married to the future king - she was a child in woman's clothing - she acted like a child she behaved like a child. While she was alive she did raise and give great love and care to two sons - she also did care for the treatment she was getting from the Queen until all the bad press about her affairs, about the affairs of Charles were splatter all over the world how was she suppose to act and behave - her family was being torn apart. Remember as much as people don't want to read or hear Diana was not the Saint people believe she was - she was all pretty face and fancy clothes and care for her sons. Don't misunderstand my written words, I was as big a fan of Diana as were the British people and I live in the United States and adored Diana. The British people never gave a thought about the hurt the Queen was feeling - they just hated her - and once and only once in the history of the British monarchy at the funeral of Diana did the Queen and the royals bow their heads in salute to Diana as she passed by them. British people can be very mean and uncaring and the way they treated the Queen many times over was totally unfair. She was only a figure head she had almost no power to do anything and the damn British people didn't seem to know that. We in the United States did know more about the British government system than the British people. We in the United States loved when the Queen would visit our country, people all over the world would love when the Queen would visit their country, she was loved by the world but not by the British people. She is gone now and the respect she was shown during her funeral belied the hate, the hurt, the lies, the people felt over her years as Queen.

He has not country - remember the phrase "a man without a country" that is what Harry is now - he is not accepted in the United States and is here only as a visitor and nothing more, and he is welcome back in Britain as an ordinary person without any function, home, money or position - again - a man without a country. He in effect sold his soul to the devil for the benefit of a woman of greed and hate and now he is living in a world of nothing.

A marvellous outfit the King's wearing
It really is
The outfit is Royal marine uniform. Full regimental evening dress of Captain General of the Royal Marines. The equivalent rank being field marshal. It’s a 5 star rank. So the highest there is. The king is wearing his medals, his order of merit around his neck, his blue garter sash, and pinned garter star on his chest. The gold ADC braid under is right arm represents he was ADC to his late mother.
Lastly He will also have his parachute regiment jump badge and his flying wings sewn onto the side of his sleeves as he’s earned them, they are not honorary.

I'm no real fan of rhe royals but i have to admit i was quite emotional when the queen died. I think it's mainly down to the fact that shes been a massive part of our lives and there in the background.

I think Charles has unnecessarily gotten a bad rap most of his life, simply for having his own opinions and preferences. Yes, in some ways as monarch you have to suppress those and carry on as the head of state in the dignified way. If anything the monarchy can serve as an example to others of how to conduct yourself. But because of who he has been and is, Charles was in large part forced into many situations that were not his choosing. That’s why his marriage to Diana turned into such a mess. And I for one love British tradition and protocol, but just the same I think there is room for some slight changes with the passage of time. Charles has been a great champion of the environment and inclusiveness, and his coronation reflected that in many subtle and not so subtle ways. I think he will be a good king throughout his reign. Monarchies throughout the world are in some ways today unnecessary, and frankly a little silly. But I still think they can serve a good purpose. And they give us a little pageantry and color to the otherwise somewhat dull and boring of government.
If we take into account the ages lived by the late Queen Mother, then the late Queen, and then Prince Philip, then God Save the King will remain as an anthem for at least 70 years.
The first change may be brought about by the generation after Prince George, if his first child is a girl.
The worst case scenario would be if Prince George died without an heir or even before his father, Prince William. If that happens, then Princess Charlotte could be the next Queen.

If she's a foreign dignitary or otherwise, an invitee of the King who isn't British, or is herself royal from elsewhere, she's not bound to.
