He said he is really 6' 4", but often lies and says he is 6' 3" just to let people feel more comfortable about his height, which doesn't really help much, because you can't change your height.
I don't get why people lie about their height. That won't make them appear shorter/taller. I am tall for a female (5'9) and lying that I'm 5'6, for example, to a 5'6 person would be ridiculous :D
Greta M. Some people are not observant and don't notice reality much, so once in a while you can say" I am an inch shorter " and they will believe you, especially since 1 inch is not a huge difference and I think Lee wanted to avoid people's reaction so instead of saying 6'4" he would say 6'3", but you are right. People can see your height and one inch is not a big deal. I guess he was trying to make a few people a little bit more comfortable. "some people can't handle the truth". ; )
The eye-squeeze at 7:32 is one of about 684 drop-dead adorable moments in this interview. The fact that he can transform from this into Thranduil has me in awe.
First time I watched this, I wasn't even focusing on the interview, I was too busy staring at Lee's beautiful face. Second time I watched this, I wasn't comprehending Lee's words, I was just listening to the soothing sound of his voice. Third time, I tried to put his body, voice, words, and the interview itself all together. Failed, had to start over at staring at Lee's beautiful face. I finally managed to piece everything together on the 8th time of rewatching, though. Honestly, that was the most difficult thing to do in my life. How can I focus on the interviewer's questions when Lee Pace is right there looking as beautiful as ever!? Ugh, the struggle was real.
What an utterly charming, thoughtful, polite young man! I've enjoyed everything I've seen him do. It's impressive how very different his roles have been and how easily he appears to morph into the different characters.
Lee is wonderful, what a lovely guy. Also, this interviewer is great. He knows what he's talking about, and strikes up a great rapport with Pace, who though effortlessly charming here, seems to be an actor of the introvert type. You get so used to cringy, poorly executed interviews at big events, it's nice to see a good one.
I've been in love with Lee since the Pushing Daisies 'Pie-lette' (gotta love Bryan Fuller's wit) and it's really cool to see him open up more as his career is going to all these amazing new places. He's finally on Twitter and seems to be having fun with it, his doing late night talk shows and embracing all the fun stuff that comes with being in huge franchises. Really really hoping he gets to do at least one episode of HANNIBAL next season - that would too exciting for me to handle, tbh.
God this man is just the CUTEST!! I was dying when he was talking about twitter and playing that geeks vs posers game! XD how can somebody seem so hott steamy and sexy yet so innocent and adorable at the same time idk but Lee does it!
In my whole adult life till now (I am 25), I have never been more obsessed with a man that I will never get like I have been for Lee. I had a boyfriend, but that was love.
He really has an amazing voice. It's up there with Patrick Stewart and Ian Mckellen. Fantastic actor. The fall is one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. He was so good in it.
Lee's voice reminds me of Benedict Cumberbatch, I'm not complaining cause he sounds hella sexy and I like both of them. This guy need more love from the industry, such a great actor.
good idea. I would like him to play a vampire again . A true vampire not that twilight crap. but a vampire with fangs and biting people and pure sex appeal that he has
I agree! They should have made Ronin's story more emotional so that the audience could've empathized with his character more like what they did with Loki's character. idk.. I just feel like it was missing something very important.
Charlie Rhea yeah,i agree with you, cause actors tells something about their characters, sometimes very an interesting and important things which can exsplain they acts but in a movie we can't see it bacause director or someone else thinks we want to see more action and less logic of heroes and vilians
I love that he dressed up as Yoda but imagine if he was Darth Vader. How epic would that be. This huge 6 ft 5 dude in all black, with a deep voice, and an awesome flowy cape.
katerpie 😄 the crew on the set of "Ceremony" , where he plays a man from South Africa, did not know he was American and one of them asked, " Why is Lee speaking with an American accent"?
Give me your best Gollum imitation. Lee: Oh fuuuuuuuck . . . Sorry sorry *looks around apologetically* I have officialy become a fan. Even though I became one after watching all of the Hobbit movies.
I notice he never sings or acts in public when people ask him to. Maybe it is his way of protecting himself by refusing to act or work when he is not on a set working on a show or movie 14 hours a day.
Americans have many different accents. He spent his very early childhood in Saudi Arabia and barely remembers living there. His father was an engineer and he and his family moved around a lot. He and his family has mostly a Midwestern, American accent. He spent, at least, his high school years in Texas, but it is really more of a Midwestern, American accent. He was born in the Midwest too. He does like to say "ya'll" instead of "you all", which is a Southeastern and Southwestern word. Probably from living in Texas, U.S.A.
Also, most Americans in television and movies are told to lose their accents if they want acting jobs and if they want to appear on T.V. as news reporters, etc. There are at least 3 accents in New York City. Northern New Jersey, U.S.A., where I grew up, has its own accent, there are a few accents in New England (all states north and east of New York state) , U.S.A. alone. There are southern accents and Northwestern accents. People in entertainment business associate Southern accents with uneducated, unsophisticated people, so Southerners are told to lose the accent and have a plain "American " accent that does not really exist. As you get closer to the Northern border, Americans sound more Canadian, or maybe it is the other way around. I admired American actress Rosie Perez for refusing to lose her New York City accent and she still earned many acting jobs when people told her that no one would hire her because of her accent. More actors/actresses are keeping their own accents today.
Ronan was an amazing villain and character...in my opinion they could've given him more credibility and screentime, but like they said, Guardians of the Galaxy was a ''love ride'' xD so...
He actually originally auditioned for the role of Star Lord. I read on IMDB that he got the role but then the producers changed their mind and he ended up as Ronan. I would've loved to see him as the leading man. His role in The Fall was amazing :)
You wouldn't think that a towering 6'3" guy could be described as adorable, but yeah, he's pretty freaking adorable in this interview.
He who talked down his height.
He said he is really 6' 4", but often lies and says he is 6' 3" just to let people feel more comfortable about his height, which doesn't really help much, because you can't change your height.

patphatcat I guess if someone's height can make people nervous, living in this world should be extremely terrifying for them :D
Lee Pace is a big cuddly teddy bear :3
The eye-squeeze at 7:32 is one of about 684 drop-dead adorable moments in this interview. The fact that he can transform from this into Thranduil has me in awe.
Not sure who in their right mind can dislike this video. The guy is an angel.
***** or maybe thorin?
thatasiangurl01 Both, the there are two dislikes ;-)
It's imposible to be more lovely than Lee
Lee Pace is such a sweet, humble and down to earth man. He seems very genuine and kind, I could listen to his beautiful voice all day long.
First time I watched this, I wasn't even focusing on the interview, I was too busy staring at Lee's beautiful face. Second time I watched this, I wasn't comprehending Lee's words, I was just listening to the soothing sound of his voice. What an utterly charming, thoughtful, polite young man! I've enjoyed everything I've seen him do. It's impressive how very different his roles have been and how easily he appears to morph into the different characters.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I actually adore Lee even more than Thranduill, what a lovely guy!
Lee Pace is such a amazing beautiful man, love his voice!!!! ♥️♥️♥️💛💛💛🥰🥰🥰🥰
He never fails to bring up the fact that he's the "KING" of Elves. Lol He can never just leave it at "I'm an Elf." I love him so much!
Король эльфов - это здорово, он действительно был королем.
sweetest man on the planet
Lee is wonderful, what a lovely guy. Also, this interviewer is great. I was NOT prepared for his deep voice. Damn it Lee
Lee as always adorable and lovely..who could resist this guy..But i love him more as Thranduil..strong and wise..
I love this guy. He's very humble.
omg, his sheepish little laugh when that guy said "Welcome to twitter, Lee" just kills me! I rewind that part I don't know how many times already.
Lee: I’m an Elf, not a Gollum :)
He said so underrated, such a cute and sweet cuddly teddy bear

God this man is just the CUTEST!! I was dying when he was talking about twitter and playing that geeks vs posers game! XD how can somebody seem so hott steamy and sexy yet so innocent and adorable at the same time idk but Lee does it!
his voice..

Lee is amazing! And i Love Josh!

"People gotta watch." I'm watching! It's a great show!
10:29-"I'm not going to lose my clothes,am I?"

All the lip bite is just aaaaaahhhhhhh. This adorable guy ❤️❤️❤️
Also, 2019, but I REALLY need a 3rd season of "Pushing Daisies". Who else?
That sinking feeling Lee had at the mention of Gollum 😂 same Lee
Mister, you make me fangirl. You're too intense for my poor heart. But, srsly... He is so.... WARM, if you get what I mean?
They Reeeaaaally should`ve given His character Ronin way more freaking screentime, they really cut Him short.
***** yeah I doubt that somehow, with how He literally got vaporized and all.
I agree! They should have made Ronin's story more emotional so that the audience could've empathized with his character more like what they did with Loki's character. idk.. I just feel like it was missing something very important.

Yeah, I was so excited to watch GOTG and then I was just disappointed
Lee is so cute.
His soft manner of speaking is crazy hot
I love that he dressed up as Yoda but imagine if he was Darth Vader. How epic would that be. This huge 6 ft 5 dude in all black, with a deep voice, and an awesome flowy cape.
Hahaha i just love that silent "fck" after the second question... and he did not even realize it... only after when he does it the second time :)
нравятся его спокойная реакция и вообще он спокойный
he smiled after the 2nd quastion, but I could see and hear him saying 'fuck'
It's true! 😂😂😂
idk why I assumed he was british. when I watched pushing daisies I was like wow he does a really good american accent
katerpie 😄 the crew on the set of "Ceremony" , where he plays a man from South Africa, did not know he was American and one of them asked, " Why is Lee speaking with an American accent"?

он в два раза больше этого мальчика-интервьюэра
I notice he never sings or acts in public when people ask him to. Maybe it is his way of protecting himself by refusing to act or work when he is not on a set working on a show or movie 14 hours a day.
Lee, I loved Guardians of the Galaxy. I've been watching Halt and Catch Fire, too. What you do to Cameron, tsk tsk tsk. That poor girl.

i love his voice ..sexy
This dude is 6'5"
*Gg* 'I'm an elf' - Yes U r and we
I know he's 100% American, but why do I always hear a subtle accent? Just me?
He lived in Saudi Arabia for quite a long time...maybe that's why? I don't know.
+Vitani Verci I do, too! I think it's because he talks through his nose sometimes. He could read books to me any day ;)
Americans have many different accents. He spent his very early childhood in Saudi Arabia and barely remembers living there. His father was an engineer and he and his family moved around a lot. +texa1801 wow just imagining Lee as Star Lord...
он не смазливый.
thanks for this droid
ezra miller, lee pace and tom hiddleston? i want josh's place
Can anyone out there verify Mr. Pace's accent? Anyone from the Midwest, U.S.A.?
@Lola Montez yes, he sounds Midwestern to me, once in a while, more recently, he says something that shows the New York city influence.
I swear to god, I thought the guy was asking him about George R. Banks and I had no idea what he was talking about.
...... his height is about 1.90 m ! ôvô
Can someone introduce me to him🥰
he looks like nicolas cage
+Graziela Almeida Only ten times better
Not at all.
He looks like a very very handsome version of Cage.
Graziela Almeida somebody said he looks like the child of Nicholas Cage and John Cusack. I can see it.
The clean beauty ultrastructually lock because trout parallely fool like a acoustic police. plant, brave twig
The unequaled eggnog unusually dance because field hypothetically nail aside a stupendous boy. annoying, same grease
