In a world where algorithms give you just rehashed content over and over, you run across a masterpiece, that costs a lot of time and money to deliver something so gloriously unique, and think this is what TH-cam should definitely be about. 100% loved the content, I have no idea who Miku is and will never watch the show, but this was fun and informative, to say the least.
Thank you!! We're both feeling pretty frustrated with the algorithm at this point, this felt like a million bucks to hear - glad people seem to recognize our efforts! ❤
I went to MikuExpo this year (full price tickets send help) and it was so much fun but some songs didnt really work with the screen (mostly sore ga snata no shiawase to shite mo because of the text behind Luka) but the energy in the room was so much fun one person turned to me and said "its you!!!" when gedo started since I was in a Len cosplay and everyone loved my Dad as Kaito (he had no clue what was going on)
Sounds 100% like a scam, but it's like an "official" and "legal" one. I don't think anyone should go until they put back that hologram on stage. Also what the heck kind of vip package is that?? It's horrendous.
My opinion: The concert looked better in Europe than according to the photos in America. (I was there in London) Although the incident regarding the pre-sale of merch happened there, it's still better than in America, I guess...
Bro, i never thought the day would come where the high school presentation I did in high school about Vocaloid, Miku, and the tech that made concerts possinlg that included me playing Magical Mirai 2013's Cat Food for my entire class, was more of a 'concert' than Miku Expo 2024 was. I'm so happy I stopped myself from impulsively buying tickets. I saw that Crunchy roll logo and something in my brain just knew to hold off.
I have been to MikuExpo '14 (Non-VIP) and MikuExpo '16 (VIP). Both times were about $100. To say I was insanely upset about the concert is a disgusting understatement. The entire thing was a disaster. I paid $250 for my ticket this year. Literally the only reason I was happy about it was I somehow managed to get my hands on a hapi, the band was amazing, and that I made some super sweet friends in line while I was waiting. But the fact that I paid double the price for a VIP ticket, which includes EARLY ENTRY and yet it didn't actually matter because it was assigned seating, was insane. The VIP merch was nowhere near the value of double the f--king ticket price, or the piss poor TV setup.
@@mkurutora I honestly feel so devastated for the people who were expecting the hologram and got the TV after waiting for so long for Miku to come back to America. But yeah, the fact that I paid so much more for so much less had me fuming. I know inflation is a thing, but there was no excuse for the gap in quality vs cost.
Despite watching a bunch of videos already about Miku Expo, I decided to click on this one and it was so fun to watch! Great production and very interesting to hear your guys' take. I bought the VIP package because i wanted a great seat, some merch, and because it's Miku live! After being disappointed once learning about the screen, i accepted it as "it is what it is" and went to the los angeles show. Yes I'm still bummed (after waiting over 10 years to see this), but I still made the most of it and had fun with the friend i went with (: It's really unfortunate though for the people who went to the earlier shows and dealt with all the issues they did, and everyone who couldnt get merch. 😢 Crunchyroll needs to do better!
When this Miku Expo was first announced over a year ago, I was so excited, and desperate to secure a seat that I paid an obscene amount of money to a scalper to get the tickets on lock Finding out that I could have just waited and bought them for $20 is so unbelievably soul-crushing
Went yesterday to my first MIKU concert in Belgium, took the VIP ticket, and I had a lot of fun with people I met yesterday, the vibe was incredible, all my fav song came up so I forgot about the hologram and had fun. If I can buy another ticket for another place I would definitely do it 🩵
This was my friend an I’s first miku expo. We bought tickets the second they went up after waiting years to finally be able to go, so yeah the lack of the hologram REALLY stung. But at the very least, it being my first means I don’t truly know what the hologram shows are like. I think that might’ve softened the blow of it a little. Plus, it was still miku expo, we got to hear her live and it was insane and and amazing time regardless.
Hooray! 901st sub! Also i would have cried, yall. And HARD if i had actually tried to get a ticket when this was in LA because WOW. I am so sorry Dx also, that "if i wanted to watch hatsune miku on a tv screen id have taken a fat dab and stayed the fuck home" like is just 😘👌🏻
The LCD screen & Non-Japanese band was due to CrunchyTroll sponsoring the concerts this year & they got cheap. If they wanted to end Magical Mirai, this is 1 step. Claiming that about previous concert light sticks was misleading & wrong & stupid. How is it some of those people got really cheap tickets???? Where were the seats???
I've been to two miku expos and the hologram experience is so amazing. I'm not a miku fan I'm a rin ren fan but they have always brought out other vocaloids and it was amazing. But I would never go to see a screen it is not the same in my eyes. I feel so bad for people cuz companies like ticket master will keep getting away with things like this.
Ive been to both the previous London shows and honestly? All the stuff thats happened with the American leg of the tour is actually scaring me considering i paid £170 for both the tickets for me and my partner... One thing that really bothered me this time round was preallocated seats, as the last one was first come first served on the seating and we didnt do too badly. Im gonna be so sad if im near the back, having paid almost £200 to watch a TV 😭😭😭😭
this video came upon my reccomended list and this was the BEST video for me to find information about Miku Expo. I've been hearing so much about it this year and I couldn't find good first hand sources. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS!!!! The editing is beautiful, the information is great, and those first hand interviews were exactly what I wanted to hear!! That sucks SO BAD, and while yes typically VIP merch can be just a tote bag, a poster, etc. For a NORMAL CONCERT, you usually also get a meet and greet with that!!! For Miku tho y'all deserved SO MUCH MORE than just that like what the hell!! Awesome video though and F*CK TICKETMASTER!! -🌙
It's good to mention that it's not in partnership with Crunchyroll in Australia. If everything is ok there (mainly the hologram and merch), I'll just judge Crunchyroll for this and not the production of MikuExpo
Me and two friends went to the Atlanta GA show last month. we hail from middle Tennessee so I had to drive us 4 hours to get to Miku. We got 3 VIP tickets at full price the day GA sales opened, and spent $300 on a room at the only local hotel that would allow guests under 21 to check in. When I found out the hologram wouldn't be there, I was furious. Im still angry with how this was handled, but I am happy I got to see Miku and be surrounded by so many Miku fans. The next day we actually got tickets to the Georgia aquarium and met a few Miku fans from the night before there! it was a really fun experience and trip overall, but it could have been so so so much better. I may have even still bought the tickets and been fine with it if they had just been transparent about the nature of the show from the beginning. Shame on Crunchyroll, and double shame on Crypton, especially since this coincided with the quiet cancellation of Project Diva (THE GAME SERIES THEY STARTED THE CONCERTS TO ADVERTISE WTF)
Jeeez, you directly fit the bill of someone who was "done dirty the most" 💀 I think you hit the nail on the head, people wouldn't have been so mad if they were upfront about it - heck, we probably would've still gone too, though we probably would've tried to get some cheaper tickets lol. Glad you all still had fun!
I had a pretty bitterweet experience from this miku expo as it was my first miku expo, I bought VIP tickets from day one for Mexcio city and was really excited as I always wanted to live this experience since I was 11 years old (25 now), but finding out the reality was just harsh, I didnt want to go anymore since I have to take a flight from another city, and I was right, all the organization was really bad, the VIP bag was a mock, the sound from the venue was bad, and it got pretty hot inside that started to smell horrible, I still had fun I'm not goin to completely lie, but I had no other option since I couldnt get a refund from the flight tickets and the event since I got them really early before everything went down. Still to this day, I feel a little bad about it, and seeing a lot of mexican fans saying this was an amazin experience is like unreal to me, like, they spit on us and they still happy because is Miku...
Yikes, that's rough - I'm sorry! :( You brought up a good point too that we weren't sure how to fit into the video; it's ok if people went and had an absolute blast, but there's this strange attitude I've seen from a small group of fans that anyone upset they spent a bunch of time and money on a tv screen should just kinda just be happy with what they got and not complain lol. I don't get it either 🤷♂
This was nicely done great job. on a sidenote tho if they would have taken out the tv and kept the rest and just had a random fan in a wig dance around on stage then that'd be pretty great.
I know a couple people who went to the Vancouver show and it looked good from their IG stories, but now I realize it was probably creative framing and sheer will to have a good time after everything that happened...
At the Mexico City show, they didn't even bring the lightsticks, like, NO LIGHTSTICKS AT ALL, THEY DIDN'T SELL THEM. So we all had to get cheap off-brand ones outside the venue. Man, I did go to the 2016 one, and it was sooooooo so much better than this year's. I'm so disappointed with MikuExpo 2024, they did us all so dirty.
I've paid over £200 for the London show and convinced my very religious parents who think vocaloid is demonic to let me go (AND I've been waiting over ten years for this) this better be good😭😭
Ooof, I feel bad for how much you spent, but it seems like you have much bigger fish to fry than that lol I hope you still have fun! And I hope Hatsune Miku casts a demonic curse on your parents (∩ ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ)⊃━☆゚.*・。゚
