    Because of the prevalence of EV taxis and regen braking, the ride comfort has taken a nosedive. Any time the driver takes his foot off the accelerator, it feels like the driver is braking hard. Imagine going through that for an hour from the airport. So, how do you ask them to be smooth on the accelerator?

    • @Korea_expert
      @Korea_expert  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      HELLO:) Nice to see you! Many Koreans have had that problem with EV vehicles. I think the only way for now is to ask the driver to be smooth when he takes his foot off the accelerator ~ In Korean, you can say 엑셀 좀 부드럽게 밟아주세요! If it
      will be difficult to say in Korean, you can use papago application app in Korea and let the driver hear what you have to say!

      @@Korea_expertThank you so much! The regen level can be adjusted (e.g., left paddle on the Hyundai Ioniq 5), but I've never seen them use it. Sometimes I want to reach over their shoulder to tell them to pull on the paddle. 😂. Anyways, I've subscribed.

      Haha that's right! They can adjust the level but I think they may need more time to get used to the EV cars! Some Koreans are asking for an option to choose only non EV taxis when they use the taxi app😹😹 but I am not sure that will be realized 🙉🙉

    Hi, can you please elaborate more on T money and how do I buy or use it? Thank you.

    • @Korea_expert
      @Korea_expert  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hello, Linda:) Good to see you! You can buy a T money card at convenience stores like GS25 or CU. The card is about 2 dollars and it is rechargeable with cash. You can charge it at convenience stores or subway stations as well. You just need to tab the card whenever you take a bus or the subway! 🤗.

    When I lived in Korea 30 years ago, I rode taxis very often. I once got into the taxi on the left (driver side) rear door. The driver yelled at me! Even if more than one person is using the back seat, enter on the right side (passenger side) door and slide over.

      Hello Nathan Greer:)
      Good to see you and thanks for your comment. I feel bad that you had such an experience 30 years ago. As you said, it is true that we have to enter on the right side when we get on the cab. It can be confusing to anybody and I wish the driver had been nicer to you😢.
      Thank you for sharing your experience with us and hope to see you again!!!

    For calling taxi using Kakao Taxi app, is it that I need to hav a korea telephone number?

    • @Korea_expert
      @Korea_expert  วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Hello:) nice to see you and thanks for your commnent! Yes, you don't need a Korean telephone number. You however need a Kakaotalk ID to use the taxi app. So register for the Kakaotalk using a foreign number and you will be fine when you log onto the taxi app^^!

    Hi, may I know if we choose general taxi, will the luggages fit? Im worried that the car that will come is small. Or we can choose the size of the car for general taxis? We might be traveling 3 people (6 luggage)

    • @Korea_expert
      @Korea_expert  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi, nice to see you:)
      As for your question, general taxis are sedans and you cannot choose a size. It is a four-door car and I think 2-3 bags can fit in. So in case you are 3 people with 6 lugguage, you may have to choose a van. If you use kakaotaxi, the mostly used taxi application in Korea, you can choose a 'venti' taxi and make a reservation for your pickup time and place. It will be more expensive than general taxis but it is big enough for 6 luggage. If you just want a van from the airport, go to an information desk where you will be able to get a van. I will leave a link here:)

      I found if the taxi is LPG the fuel tank takes up half the space in the trunk, so you might have to sit with your luggage
