I'm retired in northern Michigan, but I dined at this wonderful restaurant twice in the last 10 years. I worked in the Detroit area, in automotive industry, and I had a supplier in Juarez that required a visit a couple of times each year. This restaurant stands out as the most delicious place in El Paso. 💜
Keeping the history, alive so everyone can enjoy and learn and tastes, what makes this place special and so great the food the wife a great team to help you,
The food at Carlos and Mickeys is awesome. And yes, the word "TexMex" shouldn't even exist. All the mexican food in the El Paso/Juarez area is AUTHENTIC. Don't forget to visit their stand inside the El Paso Airport also. I always get the egg and chorizo burrito when flying out.
Good luck to them, but not close to as good my abuelitas old school authentic El Paso style cooking. I don't consider this place authentic to the true Chucos. But hey to each its own. Just had to say there used to be a day when El Paso had amazing Mexican/Southwestern food. Hard to find it nowadays.
Thanks for this. Makes me miss El Paso and Carlos and Mickey's. Such good food.
