Never really tried this before so it was really good fun when Theo and Jared asked about my perfect pitch, and we decided to test it. I was quite surprised myself, and then to prove there's not funny business, my dad asked a random person that was watching us to test me, Anyway, so there are many people who have perfect pitch, Charlie Puth, Eddie from TwoSetViolin, Elton John - I wonder what level of perfect pitch they have? Of course to do this live in public, it really helps to have a piano in tune, and luckily the one in Battersea Power Station is still relatively new, and still in decent tune! Hopefully it will last!
There aren't many people with perfect pitch lol, but a lot of them are famous in one way or another because perfect pitch gives you a whole new relation to music that normal people don't have. So obviously a lot of famous composers had perfect pitch that enabled them to do the amazing things they did

Of course, the answer is that you don't know. That is what a gift is. It is an inherent ability to do something without knowing how you do it. This session was very entertaining particularly as the people testing you or should I say daring you, were all really accomplished musicians themselves. Clearly they were fascinated by this particular talent of yours. Us Patrons have always been impressed but some of these people are seeing you demonstrate this gift for the first time. What comes to mind is how uncanny this is. But that implies that it's mysterious. According to you, it eems that musical notes triggers your brain to instantly recognize the note or notes. No analysis required. I really enjoy the various and sundry ways you teach us some of the ways that great music happens in every genre. And, Dad, you seem to enjoy it as much as the young ones do.

Super impressive! I would want to know how your brains works when you hear a tone, chord or whole progression and melody. I always have to compare heard tone(s) to some song I have in my mind and then I can approximately locate where tone belongs to. But this takes some more seconds.
