    I love mine; my wife got me that model, last Christmas. I've been wanting on for years, but a grand was always out of my budget. I've had a Food Saver for over 30 years, bags are to $$ and they loose the seal all the time, at least 30% of the time. Plus ya cant do liquids with a food saver. This Vevor is a dam good machine. Corn was on sale last month at 9 cents an ear and I vacuum packed 20 ears, 4 per bag, sweet. I should have bought more. Nice video.

    Howdy Ricer. So out of curiosity can this unit do the "canned" in a bag stuff? I know there are some chamber vacs with the right bags( some using mylar) that you can essentially can in the bag. Shelf stable. FYI, at the price you mentioned this is the way to go. Have a great day. Oh, as a side bar. If you're vacuum pac works really really good, does it still suck? 😂😅😂😊

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ
      @DeadBrokeBBQ  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I am not sure about doing the "canned" in a bag but I am sure eventually someone will tell me in the comments?!?!?! I just like that I can can my extra BBQ sauce in smaller mason jars!!! It sucks pretty hard!!!! hahahaha Thanks for watching Victor!!!!

    • @victorbenner539

      @DeadBrokeBBQ occasionally I see smoked salmon in shelf stable vacuum bags. If I could do that I would be able to ship my smoked salmon to folks without being spoiled. So find out what you can. There's some smoked salmon as incentive. 🐟🎣😋

    • @g-whiz286
      @g-whiz286 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think you are referring to retort canning. These will seal a retort bag just fine, but the sealed bags still need a trip through the pressure canner to be shelf stable.

    Hi, I was wondering what you would do if you had a choice between the Pitboss 1600 elite or the Camp Chef Woodwind Pro 36". I am leaning to the Pitboss just because I don't have to spend another 300 + dollars to get the sear capability.

    • @DeadBrokeBBQ

    I've had one sitting in a cart online for weeks ... been debating which one to get for months. The Vevor has made its way to the top of my list for the size, easy controls up front, wide sealing bar, and the vacuum gauge. I'm just trying to figure out where I'm going to store/use it ... since it won't be able to earn a place on the kitchen counter due to the size. Certainly don't want to be lugging it up and down the stairs from the basement too much.

    Hey, Ricer! This things cheaper than seeing Elfords 1965 Ford!😂 So you and Rus show how great it is for liquid. How does it do with bone in pork chops, or T-bone steaks? Sometimes with my vac sealer the bones poke through the bag, losing the seal... 🤔

    At time mark 7:07, you said, "or can whatever" implying that you could use this machine as an alternative to proper canning techniques. I know what you meant but others may not and I certainly wouldn't want to see you get in trouble for giving bad advice.
    Only foods with low water availability can be vacuum sealed and be shelf stable. So anything moist is generally a no-no. Dried fruit is OK because all of the "available" water is tied up with sugar.

      It might have DZ-320 on the back, same as mine, but it's exactly the same as the DZ-360C that is sold on their web site and on Amazon. I did find a DZ-320 listed a cpl of times and it doesn't look the same at all. I think they are just using the labels from a product they no longer sell. Mine is a little over 1 year old.
