  • How to miter fold PVC trim using Fastcap 2P-10 adhesive

This is a very cost-effective method to use 1/2" PVC sheet stock and make it look like 1" thick or more. We use the miter fold technique for all different types of applications. From countertops & shelving to exterior trim. A miter-fold is really just a long "self-return" such as what you would do on trim boards that end on themselves. Don't worry, it is a bit truicky at first, but one you get it down, you wil miter fold everything!

I will have to do my research but this appears to be a glue with an activator correct? Thanks for the quick video to the point and the masking tape tip is a good tried and true temporary clamping method.

Why use 2p-10 over just a pvc glue? To me super would probably work fine, but who knows outside over the years. But PVC glue actually welds PVC and is 100% never going to fail. If you're getting a few sheckles from fastcap to show off their product, then great. This is something you could use 2p-10 for if you have it, but I'd say PVC glue is a 'better' option.

I was curious about the tape you used along the length of your miter joint (holding the two pieces together) anything special?

How does the CA glue hold up with pvc and exterior applications? I did a test on some outside corner trim pieces and I could not break them. Ridiculously strong. Just wondering about the pvc moving with temp changes and if the CA glue bond will hold up. Any thoughts or experience?

My understanding is 2P is not a permanent glue for pvc. I would use a proper pvc glue to "weld" the pieces together.

Lynda Hill it works perfectly. That project hasn’t changed in the few years it has been installed.

    Question
Id like to install kleer pvc trim as one piece around the house. I'm consider cutting coreners at 45 degree each side to make the box basically. The size is 38'Lx4"wx3/4" thick
