Yes! That's the place. Mine weren't doing as great.... I think my puppy may have had a part in it. It will be interesting to see what comes back for me this year.

how is your tree doing this year? I've read that it's better to buy smaller paw paw trees because the tap root on bigger ones will take very long to reistablish.

Hello! 2 put of 3 trees produced leaves! The bunnies or our puppy may, or may not have messed with the 3rd one.

I had absolutely no idea what a pawpaw tree is. Great video as always. I love that you explain as you go because I certainly learn by practical application.

Thank you or sharing!! I am so intrigued by the pawpaw trees. Mainly because I have never tried them but also because my husband is from Paw Paw Michigan. Here they are just starting to get popular and people are planting. I'll take your helpful information and store it for my chance to plant and grow Pawpaws ❤👩‍🌾🥭

They grow here in the Midwest as well, some have called them the Missouri banana lol. I have only tasted them once and I have to say they are very delicious. Very good information my friend. Blessings

I've always wanted to plant PawPaw Trees, but here in NNY Zone 4a I don't believe they would survive. I did try Figs many years ago and they too would not make it. I have no way to house a potted tree. I sure did like this video though and I hope your PawPaws do well. Take care!

Thank you! Try a Chicago Hardy Fig, but plant it in a big container. Bring it inside (maybe the garage) during the cold months. It might survive! I’m hoping to get 2 of these at my garden centre this week. Happy Gardening 😀

Awesome job Sherri! I hope you got 1 male and 2 female trees. Of course you won't be able to know until they flower... I've started Paw Paw from seed 3 times and not got anything through it's 1st winter. On the other hand I have 6 American Persimmon ready to plant out this year. You get really mixed information about Paw Paws, some sources say that they won't grow beyond the great lakes, but I've seen others that say they used to grow along the St. Lawrence to Montreal, along the Rideau most of the way to Ottawa, and along the Ottawa from Montreal to Hawkesbury (35K east of me) and I have been told by Algonquin elders that they grew along the Gatineau up as far as Kazabazua. Oh, I forgot. I disagree with the idea of staking and supporting trees. There is some science that concludes that not doing it produces better roots, faster. But now I have to listen to my 75 year old neighbour telling me that I am doing it wrong every time I plant a tree... ;)

Thanks! I really looked into getting a persimmon tree. You are right, there is a lot of opinions out there and Persimmon trees seem to be the worse. I couldn’t find a straight answer about growing them here in zone 5b. Now, I want the Fuyu variety or a Nikita’s Gift Persimmon, which is a Hybrid, so that might be my issue. I ran out of time that weekend to stake the trees, which I too have always done. So during one of my lunch breaks, I looked up what would happen if I waited to stake them,,,, I have so much on my list. Anyway, there was some mixed opinions on that as well and I made the decision to wait. It’s been over a week and I haven’t noticed any issues.

@@GardeningintheNorth Well, some of my trees have a definite list away from the wind, but they are definitely healthier than my buddy's that were staked and in better soil. So...
