PM Narendra Modi had inaugurated metro operations in Kolkata on March 6.
The newly-inaugurated India's first underwater metro line began public operations in West Bengal's capital Kolkata from today onwards.
A train began its journey from the Howrah Maidan station on the East-West metro corridor of Kolkata at 7 am today. Simultaneously another train started from Esplanade station at the same time.
