I just want to say, thanks Emgo for going through all of the painful transformations that you've done for us. You are an amazing person and an inspiration to many.
I cant say how many things I haven't bought because of what a pain in the ass I saw it was after watching something he covered
This thing clearly looks like something you transform, look at it and say: "I did it!" Go outside, get a sundae and let the wave of happiness wash over as you accomplished doing it the one time
I love how the core bot (motormaster) is not only not needed in reality but actually once in place makes Menasor worse... .. . That is some big brain design right there. In fact i think a simple plug in panel would have done a better job...
This is just like the official Menasor: stubborn, unstable, and extremely difficult to operate.

As cool as Menasor is I’m always gonna hate how his limbs are always “put a car on top of his arm and leg cuz the trailer is the actual arm and leg”
Unlike the actual toys which did the opposite and had the limbs form the actual full-on limbs
Sort of like how Defensor essentially wears Streetwise and Groove as shin guards.
Wait for Ocular Max, they will give us a true G1 Menasor combiner.

@EasterBurn Around Saturn size? That is impossible. At least in a robot mode, Unicron is clearly smaller than the Earth. This can be easily determined in the scene from The Transformers movie where he eats Galvatron. The height of his eye is approximately the same as Galvatron's height. If Galvatron is about eight metres tall Unicron would be only about nine hundred metres. That would make Unicron figure scaled to a Masterpiece size only 28 metres tall.

Superfluous base modes, the "why did you bother wasting engineering on this?" of Transformers toys.
I could be misremembering but didn't she won motor Master have a base mode? If that's so then that's probably what they were going for to pay homage to the original. However couldn't agree total waste on engineering could have made the combiner much more stable kind of a bad call by xtb
I feel like X-Transbots makes their transformations as aggravating as possible on purpose. I mean even something as small as attaching the leg bots is made needlessly complicated, having to slightly adjust the wheels to get them tabbed in!
I had this crazy idea where Menasor comes with Non-Transforming Stunticons, whose only purpose is to get ripped appart to form Menasor.
They've done something similar with the constructicons.

Ooh you just gave me a crazy idea for a Transformers story! You know that scene in RotF where the Decepticons use parts from another bot to rebuild Megatron? Well, imagine if Megatron just ripped pieces from his warriors to upgrade himself to a Titan or Combiner? Crazy, right?

I do like that the trailer is used for Menasor, if the trailer were just there for Motormaster's vehicle mode it would be a huge waste. Still, I wish it weren't so much of Menasor. The actual Stunticons basically just clip on the completed body, Motormaster especially since he doesn't even do anything except make it all unstable.
But thats how menasor has always been

This is why combiners are called *COMBINERS* because you use MULTIPLE figures to form a larger one, RATHER THAN CRAMMING A FIGURE THAT'S 5 ROBOT'S COMBINED INTO 1 TRANSFORMATION.

@@seanjenkins2188 it seems like the only thing this has going for it is its look. I personally don't care much if there are some differences as long as the transformation is fun and not too big of a pain. Is a toy really a toy if it causes this much frustration? Lol
@@zakkmylde1712 Maybe that's why DX9 also sells Filler piece's for the Limb's, so you can leave it in robot mode. I have found a guide which shows in detail how to go straight from Trailer to "Combiner" mode, so we don't have to acknowledge the "Base" mode.
I love when you do the crazy transformations. You do this so I don't have to!

It’s how most 3rd parties handle the stunticobs the m3 aka idw menasor to my knowledge is the only 3rd party menasor where the trailer isn’t just menasor body with gaps

You have to kill off 3 of the main characters, cut each of them in half, and use them as Christmas blings for the Trailer-Bot.
They really over did the faux cars on the arms. The legs are better, but should have just attached on the car bottoms and not used oversized, faux wheels.Still, alot better than the G1 toy + it's all chunky 👍.
Just to prove Emgo's point that the transformation is not fun, I actually fell asleep watching the video, and will never for the life of me watch the transformation ever again.
So far each 3rd party Menasaur there are some pretty decent compromises made... I wonder how the FansToys one will shake out?

I have to say by watching that he looks amazing but the transformation is definitely very tedious and rather time consuming. I love how it looks great video review EmGo!

Shulk will activate the Monado and slow time way down, then use Stream Edge (dmg multiple enemies & inflict break) to break Menasor apart, then go in for the kill with Air Slash.

I left Motormaster out. Put in a piece of black cloth just to visually fill him in. Better IMO than with MM inside.

megaton gloating on how his new decepticon combiner is so powerful.. few seconds optimums defeats it by kicking its and making it fall over its own weight. XD I LOVE THAT!!!
My takeaway from this review is that X-Transbots hates you and wants you to suffer.
feel bad for all the new collectors who didn't get the DX9 Menasor, the transformation on the trailer is a lot more enjoyable than this mess. It's a shame that getting Capone is the biggest challenge, I had to buy one from a Malaysian toy store, I'm not making that up. He arrived about a month and a half later. I am very satisfied with the choice, he scales well with my Zeta Bruticus.
As of right now, the only choices new collectors have are XTB and Fanstoys when they get it finished, but even then the only places to get Fanstoys' Stunticons are on eBay or other sellers... Hopefully Fanstoys does some freaking reissues.
You made my Minnesota figure a little less of a nightmare, no don’t worry I didn’t transform it a second time, but I had no idea those locking tabs on the side of his chest existed, I was afraid to touch him because he was going to fall apart... now he’s a lot more sturdy
I do like how X-Transbots used the car colors in the arms to add to the illusion of them combining, but as @Rumble mentioned below: I agree, I don't like how Menasor is pretty much just bolt on a car instead of a more integrated combination process.
And while I like both versions (DX9 and X-Trans) I wish they had integrated more purple translucent details in the torso and pelvis to continue the illusion that Motormaster formed those parts, not just the trailer.

I was actually really debating on buying these figures to form the combiner UNTIL I watched this video and saw those god awful transformations of Motor Master. I just saved a TON OF MONEY and frustration! lol Thanks!!!!
This is the weirdest combiner design I’ve seen yet. MotorMaster really doesn’t serve a purpose here.

it is a pain in the ass to transform and it let the same taste in the mouth than the DX9 version but i composed
in one side you have the stunticon as a décoration for the trailer bot and on the other side the trailer is a part of the combiner not just a vanishing part and finally with this trailer bot you can have a bigger bot than if we had just the stunticar used as real arms and legs
so i understand the purpose but i prefere a gravity builder aka devastator
I got this months ago. It's still in trailer mode and its staying that way. I don't have the patience to transform it. Thanks Emgo.

I do like that X-Transbots at the very least remembered that Menasor has "secret weapons", i.e. the cannons underneath their forearms. A homage to them, at least, molded in.

With Smokescreen being modeled after the Electramotive Datsun, Wheeljack after the Alitalia Lancia Stratos and Mirage after the 1979 Gitanes Ligier it would've been neat if Dragstrip sported the blue ELF livery the actual Tyrell P34s wore in '76 (which is the body style closest to what Dragstrip has) when Scheckter and Depailler came in 1st and 2nd in the Swedish Grand Prix. The only race the P34 ever won. After that never better than 2nd and then was only five or six races that it did that well.
I don't see Takara ever doing a MP combiner set. Kudos to 3rd companies for taking on this challenge and market demand.

G1 transformers toys were terrible but we love it. I have bruticus G1 so simple to combine and switch the limbs around.
Could you get away with not buying motor master if I just wanted to display it in combined form?
I hope a downsized ko of this will be made some day. I'd love a Titan Class size version of this. I'd even pay the same price as this.
so they really should have made the motormaster cab pull an Ultra Magnus and disperse the weight distribution a bit by extending his legs down and fitting them in the trailers legs...looks amazing otherwise
