It's never a good idea to leave the case open! Good call, you busted me on that one. I know there are a number of people that use aluminum tripods but I would never recommend it because of vibration issues on construction sites, expansion and contraction of the aluminum, and aluminum tripods were not made for instruments heavier than a construction grade level. ALWAYS flip the leg lock when tamping the legs down. prevents unnecessary jostling, and shaking and prepares you for rocks and buried asphalt while being able to hold the gun relatively level.
Do you think is agood idea to leave the case OPEN while you are working? And why you say not to use an aluminun tripod, instead of using a tripod in good conditions? I like the video good job!
