Hi. There are some tracks that have 2 different piano parts and some tracks with one piano part and multiple microphone perspectives on different tracks. Thanks!
Wow Pete, thank you for the detailed insights provided in this video. I am still really struggling with mixing my solo piano work, but this definitely gives me a lot of insight and practical tools to work with. Once again, thanks a million.
Thanks. I believe i have one license for each version. I use regular on my portable rig and the XL on my work computer. The XL seems to have lots of features. I would research those features and see if you need them for what you do. I also like the Fab Filter Pro R reverb quite a bit and while it is algorithmic and not convolution, it is still excellent and i use it quite often.
Great information, thank you for sharing. What are your thoughts doing mastering on a solo digital piano recording. I tend to use less plugins, but i am still experimenting. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for watching and the comment. Mastering piano is tricky as there are so many variables. While I can do some master bus processing of anything I record, I always send something I am releasing to a mastering engineer. I know it’s an additional expense but well worth it.
I begin to see the elements you add that make your music so satisfying for me. Whether expansive and detailed, or haunting and contemplative, I always hear so much within it. Now I can see some of the ways you accomplish that. Such quality output, and so joyful for the listener. 🙂
i especially enjoyed the solo section. thank you Pete!
But Thank you a lot for sharing this ❤ loved the info

@@PeteCalandra Thank You
Are you using the reverb as send ?
Typically, Yes. There are times when I use an insert. That is usually when it's a special effect. Thanks for watching
