To flex, basically. Krishna had to prove his Good good, but since we, the true audience of the Gita, would never believe God to be so... Human likez then he showed his illusory universals form just to prove a point. But this universal form is, ironically, not his ultimate form.

I don't like the Iskcon Gita coz it's biased. The commentary stresses more on bhakti yoga, as if its the only path to moksha and says that jnana yoga or ashtanga yoga are all inferior paths. In the commentary, in pretty much every chapter, the ISKCONITES have bashed the advaitins (followers of Shankaracharya). It defames followers of other hindu sects like "Advaita".

Bhakti yoga is recommended by scriptures as the most easiest and suitable in Kaliyuga.Shankaracharya also recommended the same isnt it by saying Bhaja govindam Bhaja govindam govindam bhaja moodamathe..
