His formula is to copy his dad whom gave him his TH-cam career and yet Rudy abandoned him. Typical Genz Kid who can't pave their own path without the nipple.

It was fascinating to see the Baja1000 like that. No course markers, no closed roads. That is insane and I now understand why it is considered so grueling with deaths almost every race.
Great video Rudy. Thanks for letting us participate even for just 1 day.

I hope you guys do it again don't give up!!! As someone who raced the 50th Baja 1000 in a vintage cj jeep it is a grueling race! We finished the 50th anniversary but dnf the next 2 races with overheating issues as well and cracked crank! There is the mint 400 that's in the states you guys should do if you want to get a shakedown of the jeep next time and then go back and conquer the Baja 1000!!!

Since you guys are based out of Utah check out the Bonneville Off-road series! It’s a desert racing series with most races in utah (wendover, knolls, and vernal) also with races in Nevada and western Colorado! It’s a small series that’s absolutely mint for getting seat time. I’ve raced it for years in a class one car and our jeepspeed unlimited truck(it’s how I learned the ropes when I first started). I think it would be great for your team! Keep up the great work and best of luck

I have to admit, when I saw this video was over an hour long, I was going to skip it. BUT.... Because I have always had a fascination with the Baja 1000 (and Paris Dakar Rally) I said lets see what this is about. Hands down your best video yet! I was hooked and would have watched another hour of it. Sorry you guys didn't even last one day but honestly, many new teams go through this. Now you know what to focus on to repair the Jeep. Get out and do some more local events. Fine tune it and get back out there next year with one goal... make it to the end. It doesn't make a difference where you wind up in placing or how many hours behind you are, just make it to the end. I look forward to seeing the future progress of this.

@@evictioncarpentry2628 arguably is the key word there. RAD jeep is crappier than the Raptor by miles. Few miles and overheated? Trans line burst not even 100miles in? If the Raptor is crappier, then it would not even cross the start line.
Ford has dedicated RnD with a bunch of engineers to create a truck that can go Baja. Years of tests and works. The jeep? 6months and change building it after work, tested only a few weeks at best after build. If anything, the stock jeep will actually do better than the custom build just like the Raptor.

Defo think downfall was a major lack of testing the Jeep .
Don’t think you can do too much .
In the 80s we built a Group A Skoda for national rally championship.
Once built . We did over 1000 miles breaking the engine in plus everything else .
We thought all was good .
Like you she overheated not long into the event .
We did learn from it .
Hey just come back stronger next time.

25 years ago me and a couple of friends built a dessert racer. Our primary concern was to eliminate as much electrical needs as possible. When all said and done, our truck had 27 individual pieces of wire. I used a Borg-Warner T-20 trans, with a 205 transfer. Rockwell axles with manual steering. This vid shows why I made every one of those choices. The truck still races today, it's had one more auxillary power system routed since then, for lighting and navigation.
I've always thought the KISS principal was the king when it comes to racing.
I can easily maintain 90 mph with my 400 horse power coming out of my normally aspirated small block chevy.
But hey, if you're into breaking down, use your modern stuff. I won't, I like finishing races.
    Have fun all.

One of my friends completed this years Baja 1000 in a '72 Bronco. After watching the video from in car it was grueling. They won their class and were the only ones in their class to finish. You guys should do a couple of the Nevada races like Silver State or Vegas to Reno to get a good shakedown. Good video and hope you guys get the bugs worked out.

At 9:50 so typical, Rudy is talking and explaining, and Jenelle is just getting stuff done. I guess I am a Jenelle fan.
