finally this rom hack is done for now anyways
well what are the differences between V3 and this one, well here they are
Changes:
sonic does his balancing animations from sonic cd.
actually FIXED the follow camera bug this time.
the shield and invincibility gets removed as soon as you drown.
changed sonic's color pallet to a lighter blue, this applies to the special stages, the continue screen and the ending because they all have separated files. But the text for the credits and the sonic team presents font s the enemy’s share pallet with sonic so those are the only ones not separated.
Dynamically loaded the special stage walls to free up VRAM to move the hud into for another update and also to speed up the game by only a little bit.
The special stage index don’t increase if you fail a special stage giving you more time to practice so if you enter a special stage again the last time you lost by letting the time run out, hitting a goal block or even exiting it from debug mode, it will be the exact same special stage you failed last time.
The labyrinth zone harpoon objects make a spike sound when you die from them.
Bug fixes:
the timer in the special stage resets itself.
preventing the routine DynScrResizeLoad from running when the title screen or the special stage is playing though you won't be able to tell the difference but it does prevent some bugs from being added.
fixed up the garbled glitches in scrap brain zone act 2 but i didn't capture it because i forgot but yes it is fixed.
fixed 2 bugs where sonic's hitbox when spindashes or ducks below enemys or solid objects.
fixed the pushing animation bug where sonic would be using his pushing animation on solid objects.
the speed shoes will clear when you hit the signpost at the end of the level to prevent the music running fast in the special stage or at the score tallies screen sometimes.
fixed robotnik's mappings so his moustache won't be cut off.
fixed sonic's continue screen sprites.
fixed the special stage clouds fade in because you might have not of noticed it but soon as you enter a special stage, the clouds will be black for half a second, also fixed a bug with the hud flashing black instead of red in the special stage.
Fixed a bug at the final zone at the every end of the level when you chase Robotnik down a hallway and get in that last hit, there was a bug when you hit him last time, you could still die by falling off the Cliff to you’re doom A.k.a, death at a perfect time, normally it would stop you, kinda, when you don’t hit him, it stops you but I added an invisible wall so it could stop you from falling to you’re doom once you land Robotnik a final hit.
Fixed the super peel out sprites when sonic crashes into a wall to do one of his walking animation while facing up.
ACTUALLY FIXED THE ACCIDENTAL DELETION OF SCATTERED RINGS THIS TIME, sorry for the upper case fix but when I fixed the ring timers since v1 I accidentally forgot that I removed a command that will delete the scattered rings. So I re added it, phew, thank god for that.
and more stuff have been changed and fixed but i can't remember all of them but yeah, tada.
