      The only thing that is appearing to stop you from enlightenment/self-realization/eternal life/knowing yourself to be unconditional love is identification with thoughts, emotions, sensations, perceptions and experiences instead of being aware of being aware and knowing yourself to be that unconditional love pure consciousness in which all thoughts, emotions, sensations, perceptions and experiences appear but are not inherently one with you; they are an expression of unconditional love; you are that infinite that is expressing itself as suffering/pleasure but inherently you are neither; you are that nothing/unconditional love/pure consciousness in which they are appear and by which they are perceived;
      Suffering/pleasure comes and goes; there is an awareness that is aware of them coming and going; that you are; remember and know what you are; never identify with anything that is appearing within you; since it appears within you; it can't be you; you are that in which it appears. When you abide as that in which it appears instead of identifying; nothing has a grip on you; if anything comes; it quickly goes; like clouds passing; only if you identify as a cloud then it will appear as if the cloud is here for longer than it is originally supposed to; if you simply rest as the awareness and do not identify; it will quickly dissolve; be unconditional love by being aware of being aware; this is the highest; this is what you are seeking in absolutely everything else; you are seeking yourself; you are seeking unconditional love; but you are looking outside of yourself; instead of being aware that you already are unconditional love. Love love

    When we are born we enter this world with no mind made self. We are conscious and unconditionally ourselves just like an animal. As time goes on and our intellectual ability expands, through conditioning of the human collective, we begin to think and develop a mind made self that takes us away from our true essence. As a 19 year old, I am letting go of all the layers the mind has placed on me and just as Eckhart said “developing a balance” between the two. We’ve never lost who we truly are, we just become unaware of it over time. Period.

      Desiderata
      GO PLACIDLY amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.
      Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story.
      Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.
      Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
      Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism.
      Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.
      Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
      Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
      Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here.
      And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

      @hugojj101 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@PaulDA2000 Saying he's egotistical makes you egotistical. The more knowledge you have, the more spiritual paradoxes you have at your disposal. The easier it gets to become compassionate, calm and loving. its easy sometimes and not so easy other times.
      by a spiritual paradox i mean like for example, Eckhart says that dalai lama needs to avoid having an identity but that's impossible because his identity now becomes "the person with no identity". If you are a trusting person then you trust the times when you don't trust. loving, includes to love hating. So if you think its hard, you're right. You just need to understand that you're never going to understand XD.
      Its about Awareness like Eckhart points to. Be aware that the only reason you find it hard is because you want better for urself and in the process will feel free to give to others. That makes you an awesome person.
      Even the guy you think is egotistical. he's clearly just enjoying realizing that there's nothing to realize. everyone deserves to feel good, u just gotta be observant of why. no one chose to be born.
      Also you are a machine so if you don't eat well or excerise and all the health stuff. then your awareness will become smaller and it will be harder to maintain it and you could hurt people without realizing. looking after yourself is the same as looking after others.

    It is as if he never read ACIM. We have two minds. They are different but both real, cos ego mind you can never get rid of. The angels in heaven also have ego. Only source is egoless. Without the ego you cannot be in the universe. Its like a car. Something you have. And YOU ARE spirit. Christ mind. Gods mind. Its not true that we have no identity. We come from source and we are Gods thoughts/spirits. We were individual/unik in source too. So how could we become not an individual thought after leaving source? What does ACIM say about knowing? Spirit knows. Ask spirit, all the time, every day. Consciousness can never know. Consciousness is the domain of the ego.

    • @yanakord1078
      @yanakord1078 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      You identify with your feelings and pain, and that makes you suffer. Whatever experience (in your inner or outer world) may come, it's not about you. You just witness the things that come and go. Suffering is an indicator that you believe in false (equals believe in your thoughts). E.g. thoughts about your life story or being the victim of circumstances. Withdraw your belief in what your mind offers - no suffering can occur. It's created so wisely that suffering shows the way out of itself and reveals what is untrue. Just stay AWARE removing the shield of false identification (as You are always the Awareness), nothing more is required.

    Of course, the Dalai Lama is fully aware that the economy has only created dependence and distractions when “there was a time trade wasn’t necessary.”
    Therefore, it is not a wonder it (consciousness, yours/his) sees the road ahead is void for it sees how what is actually necessary from the past still empowers it.

    We don't need to know. What we need is a needless knowing that transcends knowing and even non-knowing that renders need, thought, opinion, belief, reaction, benefit, economy, nimbleness, shrewdness, profundity, evasiveness, and survival instinct superfluous. How blessed are we that the third wave of consciousness shift drifting into our dimension is itself holy, sacred, all-encompassing, compassionate, truly wise, instructive, essential, gracious, eternal, foundational, transcendent, monumental, stupendous, enlightening, phenomenal, beautiful, and beckoning, and like a rubric of light, it transforms the least of us into the still, quiet, mysterious, hidden, noble, window which, like cutlery, scrubs us down to the bare minimum of mind, body, spirit, aura, vibration, connection, and effulgence.
