Thank you for staying positive. I discontinue watching guys who get angry, swearing, etc. NOT enjoyable. You are always a pleasure to watch because you stay even keeled.
Dwayne is such a good neighbor, thank you Dwayne. Between the problems with the tent and the skidoo, most people would just sit down and cry but not our Jay. This is why so many people love your channel. Jay, you are an awesome guy.
You obviously do not know how tough the people are, who live in the North. Now if some people come up North, from below the 49th parallel, then maybe they would "sit down and cry" but I do not believe that myself. I strongly believe that the men would try and figure out how to fix it and 'get it done'!!!!!
Get your self a Lithium Jump starter pack and leave it in the machine, for just those times!! Also always great to watch your adventures .. You have a couple of great spots. Steve
I have the Amazon brand one, it sat in a garage for over a year without being charged, when I turned it on it still had 92% power and started a car that sat in a barn for 6 years on the first crank.
It's crazy you've got 5 inches of ice and we haven't had our first frost here in Arkansas. I'm making smash burgers on the Blackstone today but as an adult and the one cooking I plan on having a hot dog as well. Thank you for not abandoning the tent. I love what you've done with the cabin but as I'm sure like a lot of others that have followed we love the tent videos also. Stay safe.
Ours stays hooked to a battery tender spring till winter, always starts right up! Helps the battery last longer as it gets worked and recharged over the summer. Enjoyed your Labrador trip as I grew up in Happy Valley from 59-69,will get next year, We had a chance to meet Chuck and Melanie last summer, what a lovely couple! It’s in my bucket list to get back there! Always enjoy the videos and take care! Dave and Lorraine
Well Jay, you crack me up! In the early to late 1700’s- to mid 1800’s. I had family in Labrador. They came over from Ireland. Ancestors are buried there and in Prince Edward Island. Then they crossed over to USA. Any how, young man, that snowmobile has not been good for you. Last year the same problems. Well, pooo! I am no mechanic but, that thing is a Lemon! Love your channel. Hope you get that thing fixed before your next trip! Good luck!
Thank you Jay always enjoy your videos. Please always check your battery life after sitting idle for not being used for a long time especially up your way. Blessings and be safe.
Dang, that snowmobile is a lifeline. That thing needs to be reliable and start every time. And that battery will really take a hit when the deep freeze sets in. Solar trickle charger, block heater, engine covers. There must be something that can make that transportation bullet proof.
I'm so happy for the canvas tent videos!! It's where we met! So glad you got another! I'd really be sad if that ended! Sorry about all the issues! But I'm proud of you and it's a learning experience! As long as you're safe that's truly what matters! And to answer your question... definitely a burger! You're cooking skills make me hungry! Think I'll have one tonight
That shot 2:24 is pretty sweet when the cabin starts to glow and the dark silhouette trees come to focus. That was a million dollar scene right there 👍
Glad to see you’re human lol. Shutting the snowmobile off dead battery. You might want to consider carrying a good jump box with you in cases like that. Can’t believe it’s already that cold and snowing there right now. I’m in Nebraska and we’re just now getting fall like weather in the 40s and 50s. Glad to see you don’t panic and are able to overcome the situation like that great job. Always enjoyable to watch your videos and I look forward to them every Sunday morning while I’m having my coffee.
You may have messed up on the maintenance front but you have the most important thing covered when it comes to surviving, a positive attitude. Always smiling. Good for you dude.
I've had a jump box start my LMM diesel when it was not only one battery dead but both completely flat from leaving on one of my off-road light bars for more than 12 hours. They're tight and compact very easy to bring with you to me it's like you going out without your boots makes no sense. But I do love your videos so quit getting stranded You've been dealing with battery issues since I've been watching you which was from the get-go 😉
In all my 40 years of snowmobile riding, I’ve never once heard of one overheating….but then again I never rode a ski-doo…..lol. Glad you’re back in the tent.
That is one of those where have motorcycles engine innet!! Thats why that overheating cloging ice in water cycling i think that is why not works propebly!
2-stroke or 4-stroke, if a sled is liquid cooled it needs snow flicking up onto the radiators heat exchangers located above the track within the tunnel and most commonly beneath the foot rails. Most idling, parked sleds not getting this snow to keep fluid cool will shut down. Those which don’t will absolutely overheat and can cause damage. Simple tip though, if one has to leave a sled running, pile snow on running boards and as it melts off just add more 🙂
Ride out West on a sled with 3" lugs on a hard pack trail without your ice scratchers down and you'll be overheating in less than a mile from the truck.
Good Morning Jay love the videos. But yes we’re gonna give you a few knocks ! #1 you need to have splits and firewood ready to go at all times when you get to cabin especially if you have an emergency on way in and need heat right away #2 your machine should of been serviced and checked over before start of season #3 you need to buy a charge pack and keep it in your machine at all times. I am running a 2024 expedition and I have one under the seat in storage on mine Hopefully our snow and ice comes soon as well take care and be safe
Jay! I'm so stoked to see these videos back. I'm a sucker for cold weather and I just love the fact that you get to do this. You are truly living it up and enjoying some incredible country. I seriously cannot wait for more of these frigid-yet-so-cozy-and-loving-it videos. Keep it up sir!! 🫡
I can’t believe you didn’t check your machine over before you took it out. Learn from your mistakes. In different circumstances it could have meant life or death. Also, your electric chain saw blade needs to be maintained as well as charging your battery and putting a little oil in it. We live in the country. Everything that needs to be done before winter is done. Everything needed before winter hits, is winterized and ready to go. No exceptions. You are very talented, and I enjoy your videos. Glad it all worked out for you.
Your totally Right about Preseason checks, and Maintaining equipment. Especially when in remote locations. What if Buddy wasn’t up the lake with a spare charged battery to help Jay out here ?
@@JamesWoodring-mu2iz It’s not about being a “hater”. Seems several viewers rolled their eyes at the beginning when he said he hadn’t turned it on since spring. Anyone who lives in a winter country like Canada knows that’s just crazy. This could have been a much nastier situation. We all like Jay and are concerned for his safety , or we wouldn’t be here.
They are both great and it depends on what you have a taste for. Getting ready for winter with the logs for future burn nice going. You are so lucky to be able to call for help and your friend came out. You maintain your vehicle; the snowmobile and chainsaw are no different. And I am sure when you get home, you will be checking on both to make sure your next run will go without a hitch. Like your attitude you just flow with it all including forgetting the key to turn on. I have done that myself and you laughed at yourself which is good. That shows you're not critical of yourself and others. Great job and Blessings.
Oh boy! Your tent videos got me subscribed to your channel. Hope the new tent works for you. You could stay in the tent all winter long and I would be happy.
Wow, snow already. here in northen Wisconsin no snow still some warm days but the nights are cold. Snow will be here soon. Stay safe n warm. God bless Jay 😊
Absolutely love the video as usual. Jay, we learn new thing, new ways of doing things everyday. Don’t ever be hard on yourself. That’s what life is about. Learning.

Looks like a great time on the ice Jay ! Get yourself a small shock cord for clutch starts when battery is dead , it sucks but it will get you out of a jam . People saying you should have done this and that before you went out but how would that make for good videos haha 😄 If anything is going to happen, it's going to happen out there ❤
Hey Jay Have the same machine, i had the battery let me down a few times so now i run a battery charger/conditioner over the summer on it and i carry a small booster pack from Canadian Tire in the back compartment just in case as i take the machine way out in no mans land and alot of the times by my self no cell service. Better to not need it and have it then not have it and need it. Also seen a few comment here saying pull cord it well unfortunately you cant do that with this machine. Cheers Keep the adventueres coming
I was gift an Oz Tent RV3 tent. It had lotsa holes. I taped the holes both sides with Duck Tape. I think it’s similar to what you’ve got. Personally I would get the tent dry and warm and tape the other side. By the way, I got this tent two and half years ago. I’m that tent right now on the banks of Lake Eildon, Victoria, Australia and watching this video.
Dwayne is a smart man to leave that behind. Haha guess you've learned your lesson on this one. Thanks as always for showing the reality not just the good stuff!
Good morning Jay. Another great adventure. If you can find a old snowmobile track cut out a 6 foot section and screw to to the bed of your trailer for traction when loading or unloading your snowmobile. If not add a few pieces of 1 inch angle iron. It makes a world of difference.

Jay, love the smash burger exactly how you have it. Glad to see you at the tent and now to get the snowmobile fixed. I love your positive attitude and just get through the challenge at hand. See you on the next one!
Living in Queensland Australia where, for the next 4-6 months, our temps a not likely to be below 30C with overnights in the mid to high 20's, that snow looks AWESOME! Keep the video's coming please Jay and like others have suggested, grab yourself a lithium jump starter.
Jump pack, new battery, and maybe a nice, quiet evening making bear boards to go all the way around the tent. Gotta protect your investment when you’re away! Loved the video as always! Burger vs. Bratwurst is gonna be a toss-up depending on if there’s sweet pickle relish. That on a hotdog/sausage is always a winning combination!
Jay….love all your videos and content….but the snowy winter ones at the Tent are best! Enjoying a cup a coffee and kahlua as I watch this mornings video release! Have a great day!
Finally , hot tent video is back ! Since the cabin series came out , It’s been a while for me to watch your video. Luckily I check back on your channel . Love the tent video
I can’t chose between the hot dog or the burger, I love them both equally! Watching you and your snowmobile reminded me of my car issues with the battery growing up in Pennsylvania in the dead of winter. Thanks for another great video. Can’t wait to see the cabin!
You need 14lbs of compression to open the injectors so it takes a couple times turning it over to build pressure. But brother you need to put a backup pull cord on your machine you were in that situation last year as well. You need a new battery if it wasn’t on trickle during the off season the battery is probably frigged. PULL CORD MY BUDDY
@ 100% my friend. I just found your channel and really like your canvas tent set up. And the fact that it’s in Canada is even better. So look forward to your adventures this season be safe and enjoy. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦👍👍👍👍👍
I'm dying here - best video yet. Jay chowing down on a smashburger under the Northern Lights. Dead battery blues. And yeah, the key thing has happened to me. So up for the season!
Hey Jay, love the video, been there with a dead battery but always had a sled with a pull cord and got it going that way. Can’t beat the old 2-strokes. Canadian tire sells the genie battery boosters and I swear by them, there small and compact with tons of juice, wouldn’t be a bad investment to keep at the camp or in your sled. I love food lol, so burgers or dogs it don’t matter. Cheers
Hey Jay, watch Chuck Porter's video on have your hitch clip. Your hitch clip connection should be on the upside of your hitch. This is less likely to get unclipped. Have fun 😊
Excited for you J. Hope you have lots of safe adventures this winter. Share others concerns re your battery freezing and you getting stuck somewhere. I’m sure you’ll figure it out. More yummy food with Jay. Stay warm young fella. 👵😉👋🇨🇦 Ottawa
Hey Jay, I screamed at the screen when you turned off the ski doo!😂 Love your Labrador videos!!! Good to see you back at the tent, can't wait to see you back at the cabin!!! Laughing at your mistakes is the best thing you can do.....we do it all the time!!!! Hugs from NL!!!😂❤
Gotta look at this way, it wouldn't be an adventure if there weren't setbacks, lol love your videos Jay, can't wait for you to get back to the cabin for the add on .
Hamburgers first, I'm with you on that. 3/4 lb might be more than I'd be able to eat though. Might be a good idea to take an extra battery for the snowmobile along on every trip. Charge it up at home or in the tent and put it in a cardboard box in the 'boggan with some jumpers. Critical items should always have a backup when you're on your own in cold weather. Good job with the tape on the tear. Looks like it held pretty well and should last until the replacement arrives.
Hey Jay. Good vid. Get that machine ready before you get caught out and maybe suffer serious consequences. New tent coming. Good to hear that. All good from warm east Kentucky USA. Next time.
I really love your place, I like the woods and the snow. If I were there I would bring my ham radio with me, what a fantastic match, a cozy tent with ham radio in a peaceful land, where I could make radio contacts with the friends all over the world.
You should invest in a jump pack. You can take it inside with you then bring it out when you need it. Sure beats the heck out of what you just went through. Great video, thanks.
Jay! What are you like?! You knew that battery would fail!😂 so good to see you back at the tent. Surprised to hear you were at work, as I thought you were doing UT full time. Keep doing what you’re doing. I just love your channel.
Nice video ! Look into a NOCO 70 jump box "they are awesome" compact and a must have. I've actually used it on a 11 liter Detroit engine in the Freightliner I used to drive. It's a winter must have. I carry it in camping and side by side rides. I always keep it charged up and in my Faraday can at home. Thanks Jay
What a learning experience today was!!! I think knowing the condition of the battery, I would have taken the booster battery with me! Pryer Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance!!! Great Video! Don’t give up!!!
Thanks for the video, Jay!! Great footage of the outdoors. Looks like you may be in for a new battery for this season. You don't want to get stranded I guess. They don't seem to last very long on seasonal vehicles! Looking forward to your winter adventures in the NWT!!! 😀

I'm dying here - best video yet. Jay chowing down on a smashburger under the Northern Lights. Dead battery blues. And yeah, the key thing has happened to me. So up for the season!
Hello Mr. Legere. Love the videos and hope to see you in March! Stay safe brother.
Cheers
Jay, this one was a return to form. I so enjoyed watching you back at the tent shack and the burger looked great!!
jump box jump box JUMP BOX !!!!!!! ALWAYS CARRY IT WITH YOU
Probably would be a good idea next Spring/Summer to stock your wood shed. 😊
I am happy winter is back also Jay! Thanks
Thanks for new video Jay!
Stuff like that happens to me all the time. I understand how you felt. LOL. Thanks for sharing.
We always test our stuff before heading out bud. Good time to change oil and plugs. Get a tickle charger for off season.
Thanks Jay!!! Looking forward to the winter!
Love you, kid. Looking forward to another winter with you. Dave from Chicago.
Gotta look at this way, it wouldn't be an adventure if there weren't setbacks, lol love your videos Jay, can't wait for you to get back to the cabin for the add on .
I can’t wait to be working at the cabin. Soon enough.
Next time.
Is nice to see snow from the comfort of your home. That's too cold for me. I live in AZ and we have 75 degrees
I really love your place, I like the woods and the snow. If I were there I would bring my ham radio with me, what a fantastic match, a cozy tent with ham radio in a peaceful land, where I could make radio contacts with the friends all over the world.
Awesome video jay loved it music is a plus 👍🥰
This is the best channel to watch for a feel good factor.Feeling I am there.
Awesome
Enjoyed your travel vids and now enjoying your winter camping vids, again. Thank you neighbour for helping Jay.
I am still a full time TH-camr. My former employer asked me if I could help out for a week. I expect to do that from time to time. But it will be rare
Good to see you outside in your tent again.😊😉🫠🙃🙂😄😃😀👍👍👍👍🤛🤛👊👊🤜🤜👏
Nice video ! Look into a NOCO 70 jump box "they are awesome" compact and a must have. I've actually used it on a 11 liter Detroit engine in the Freightliner I used to drive. It's a winter must have. I carry it in camping and side by side rides. I always keep it charged up and in my Faraday can at home. Thanks Jay
Welcome back!!! Good start!! Can’t believe it’s that cold up there already!! Whew! Love a good Hamburger!!
What a learning experience today was!!! I think knowing the condition of the battery, I would have taken the booster battery with me!
Pryer Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance!!!
Great Video! Don’t give up!!!
Yes a key really helps. lol. Love your videos . Thanks for letting me tag along Jay
Any time!
I'm in South Saskatchewan and only 0 and light snow. You got me beat, great show enjoy your adventures, all the best.

I always look forward to the cold weather 🥶 videos.
Smashed burgers here in the 🇺🇸 have onions on them and those our smashed in with it. But they still look delicious. Stay warm and safe 😊
Jay been in that same predicament myself many times. Great video.
Im watching an old video you did with Jerry.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for the video, Jay!! Great footage of the outdoors. Looks like you may be in for a new battery for this season. You don't want to get stranded I guess. They don't seem to last very long on seasonal vehicles! Looking forward to your winter adventures in the NWT!!! 😀
Now I Know what we are having for dinner tonite. 🍔 🍔 Thx Jay for sharing your ‘happiness’ and life adventures such as they are a learning experience. Your glass is always 1/2 FULL making your videos so enjoyable to watch.
