when he was coming off the bench on the lakers the dude could still shoot, i think since he's willing to come off the bench teams should consider signing him
I ain’t tryna hate hopefully Brodie win a championship but he been the problem for every team he been on in his career, and no superstars can play wit him, that why he being passed around in the league. That why I don’t blame KD for leaving him,he can’t win with anyone, hopefully he wins one tho,I am rooting for him to win
He always tries his best but keeps making the same mistakes over and over. At some point, he’s gotta take responsibility. Hopefully, he’ll work on what he needs to do in order to stay in the league.
Guy kd played amazing with him, pg13, olidipio, beal, and harden all had amazing seasons with Russ, Lebron and Ad also missed most the season last year, it’s not Russ
I don't remember Odom wanting to leave. I remember when it was announced he was traded he went on some radio show crying saying how he wanted to stay with the Lakers.
It is quite amazing when borderline star players like Lamar Odom, Lance Stephenson, Luol Deng and Joakim Noah go to a different system their whole game falls apart... Players like these should really think hard about going elsewhere as you are a product of the system and if the system changes the end result changes too. It is "just basketball" someone might say, but it is not so. When you find a home and a system that caters to your strengths you should hang onto that with your dear life... The likeliness that, as a limited player like these dudes were, you will find a similar role in a different system may prove to be really hard and if you can't fit you can't play. No matter how many triple-doubles you had in your previous team... Only the very top players can institute a system change and even sometimes that doesn't work as in the cases of Westbrook and Carmelo. People have been talking about Damien Lillard here too, as in this is maybe why he doesn't want to go to another team, which may be right, but he has a valid skill for today's game and with it he can find a role on practically any team. He may not be the number one attraction, but if you can shoot you can play... And this is basically the reason why Westbrooks, Carmelo's and Kemba's are finding it hard to stick to a team... None of the have been really good three point shooters and have made their money from closer to the bucket. Lillard has a high demand skill and that should not be overlooked in these comparisons. But being the man and going to playing second fiddle doesn't work for everybody... Damien has earned all of our respect and he can do whatever he wants to with his career. He has paid his dues and nobody will hold anything he does from here on out against him. Unless he starts tackling guys left and right all of a sudden...
The kemba comments are very misleading. Kemba walker main reason for his unsuccess in Boston was injury and then the mediocre Knicks not playing him/blaming them for there bad defense when post kemba still was bad until they got brunson year.
hey man honestly this could be true but idk i feel his skill can carry over but thats such an interesting point i think it could be 50/50 if he ever leaves Portland but ive been saying since day one of this season trade dame to Toronto and pair him with Pascal could be a crazy duo (Raptors fan btw)
Deng had back issues (had a spinal tap) for which he was hospitalized for a month, during which his coach didn't even come to visit him there (that's how it was reported back then). Deng had all the good reasons to leave, he wasn't valued. His decline can be attributed to his health issues. He led the league in minutes per game for years, no wonder why no Bulls player from that squad had a long career. All thanks to one Tom Thibodeau.
Carmelo Anthony's career didn't get ruined because of joining another team, but because of his selfishness of not sharing the ball, playing zero defense (for his entire time as a professional, lol) and being greedy. He's the reason why the Knicks got way worse once he got there, he forced to be traded there so that he could sign a big payday contract in 2011 off season and the team (Knicks) had to give up half their roster to get him there through the trade. He's only at fault for how his career went on in the NBA.
The 2012-2013 season wasn't bad for him. He had the Knicks finish second in East finishing behind the Heat. That team had Tyson Chandler, Raymond Felton as starters and JR Smith coming off the bench. How good were those teams really? His Nuggets teams looked to be better and they made the WCF. I personally think he should have stayed in Denver felt they had higher title aspirations. The Knicks didn't give that impression and it was more than just Melo
I think if melo join miami with lbj and wade ,he could be a monster both ends of the floor, he just stop playing defense when he know in nyk hes the first option in offense and hes shot selection sometimes awful knowing there will be no other elite scorer on the team . Even amare is injured they are a legit contender in nyk
Knicks scapegoated Melo. After being the one to not jump on the bandwagon and join not only his closest friend but biggest rival at the time, he came to actually bring back NY basketball. He came to team with Amare but he was injured nearly the entire time he was there. He survived Mike D'Antoni whose a great offensive coach but never valued defense in his life. Then they bring in Mike Woodson who coached the Knicks to their best regular season record since 99 good enough for the 2 seed in the east and Melo legit had an MVP caliber season and what do the Knicks do? Beg Phil Jackson to become team president even though he didn't want to but they offered him too much money to turn down. Then he fires Mike Woodson who they just had a great season with, couldn't get his 1st choice in Steve Kerr to coach because we all know what he went to do instead so he brings in Derek Fisher a guy who never coached at any level at this time to come force the triangle offense into a league that evolved past that. Then when that didn't work he traded all their key role players to teams where they ended up winning a championship. And all that time Melo just took all the blame and kept balling. Then you draft Kristaps Porzingis who wasn't even heard of in the states and you admitted was a project over guys like Devin Booker and Miles Turner you know people who would've meshed with Melo's game better than a 7'3 jump shooter who's soft in the post and didn't rebound well. And yet we still like to crap on Melo
Westbrook fell off after leaving OKC? Bad take, he averaged a triple double with Washington, made a playoff run with Houston where he played great, yeah didn't look good with the Lakers but ended the season willing a Clippers team without it's superstars through a playoff series. He's still got a lot of fuel in his tank
Joakim joining the knicks didnt ruin his career, his injuries did, knicks threw a bag at him for being injured an not playin so well his last yr in chicago and it became wayyy more noticeable on the knicks that he wasnt the same but knicks had no good bigs an needed to play him
Also westbrook on the wizards wasnt an issue he played rlly rlly well there an even bradley beal liked him but they got rid of him for kuzma bc hes younger an clearly they wasnt ready for the playoffs wit 2 good guards an no one else to help
I still think that Dallas should’ve kept Kemba Walker as a backup of sorts and a Vet player
Agreed
when he was coming off the bench on the lakers the dude could still shoot, i think since he's willing to come off the bench teams should consider signing him
I like this style video. 13 in less than 10 min. Plenty of time to explain. And it never gets boring.
i feel really bad for Westbrook because everybody blames him when he tries his best
Yeah, I see your point. The only problem is when he tries his best, it ends up bad. No hate for him here 😕
It was a bad fit. It's like asking a plumber to do a carpenter's job and then calling them incompetent
He always tries his best but keeps making the same mistakes over and over. At some point, he’s gotta take responsibility. Hopefully, he’ll work on what he needs to do in order to stay in the league.

Maybe this is the reason Lillard doesn't want to leave Portland
hey man honestly this could be true but idk i feel his skill can carry over but thats such an interesting point i think it could be 50/50 if he ever leaves Portland
but ive been saying since day one of this season trade dame to Toronto and pair him with Pascal could be a crazy duo (Raptors fan btw)
He ain’t leaving cause he wanted that money he took a Supermax now they ain’t got a chance at getting anybody else Lmao he’ll rot there his fault
@@Dontezbryant777 a damn shame too, Portland has always been a bottom franchise even when they got a good squad
@@koolcid8 yeah they gonna be in a hole forever 💀
@@Dontezbryant777 they didn't have a chance of getting anybody else anyway, they already tried that. Nobody wants to go to Portland star wise.
shoulda put ben simmons too bruh
his career went downhill before the trade
Too early. Plus he's getting unfairly blackballed by the NBA world.
Brandon Jennings to the Pistons. As a Bucks fan we got Middleton out of it, but I did enjoy watching Brandon play

Yeah the downfall began in Denver. Forcing his way out was the beginning of the end.

2:11 am i tripping or is that George Lopez
Curry is so legendary, he ended hopes, dreams and careers
I feel bad for Westbrook because everyone thinks he’s horrible but he’s actually pretty decent
He’s not horrible
He’s a good player now
A lot of my favorite guys were on this list 🔥
Moral of the story is don’t go to the knicks
Some times changing teams ruins you chances of a championship
Knicks scapegoated Melo. After being the one to not jump on the bandwagon and join not only his closest friend but biggest rival at the time, he came to actually bring back NY basketball. 2:51 I know you didn’t refer to Roy Hibbert as the 2nd option.

Deng was never the same after a botched spinal tap
He make another starting five from every position part 2
Celtics Isaiah Thomas ??
It was that hip injury that ended his career.
Joakim joining the knicks didnt ruin his career, his injuries did, knicks threw a bag at him for being injured an not playin so well his last yr in chicago and it became wayyy more noticeable on the knicks that he wasnt the same but knicks had no good bigs an needed to play him

Funny how he says only 34 but in reality that’s chill, not everyone has the bron gene
Carmelo should of stayed on the Nuggets.
Jeremy Lin should have been in here
Ok
I don’t feel bad for any of them 😂 they all made millions and millions of dollars. I’m pretty sure they are doing fine now
