It really does!! Hard to not be tempted by a tone like that, especially given they’re so inexpensive (roughly 1,000$.. I believe?) worst case scenario while having it setup; a bit of fret end filing & leveling, possibly a properly cut + slotted nut and you’ve got a killin bass for beans!!
Uhhh YEAH!!!! Sire had some sorta ok production back when Marcus Miller was really involved with product development for his signature bass.. But consistent quality control has always been poor, even in the early stages when M.Miller was more involved.. in the store a brand new one I tried was wired so the eq did nothing but make a whistle.. ,and the one right beside it was drilled & seated in such a rush it permanently misaligned the neck joint (Buzz City!!) Sure you always gamble whenever paying Sub-2,000$ on a bass, especially a mass production instrument. But more than that..IMO the Sire preamp circuit w/so many adjustable freq bands is silly.. cheap op-amps, none or negligible grounding & shielding work is noisey! Plus unlike a J-East or Noll semi-parametric 4-band The number of eq controls is difficult to dial & can be sour in the sweep of the 2-mid pots.. The Nj4 is fantastic as is the Cort GB-75 modern J w/Burl top Nordstrand big singles, MarkBass pre, Hipshot tuners, Babicz bridge etc.. Very cool for the price!!
@@JasonWright-mc6dz I own and play a Sire M7 6 string. I agree quality control is not the best like the potmeters and potmeter knobs aren't properly aligned and I fear every time that the pickup switches might break. But mine sound wise is solid. But I am trying to sell it so I can buy a NJS5 or another 24 frets Jazz bass

Like #3... Thanks for your video 👍
Awesome video Bass Bonedo! Thanks for sharing! Would you say that this is a fast neck?
Is the bridge pickup spacing more "north" than on standard 60's jazz?
Hi there
very nice demo :-)
is this bass heavy, medium or light ?
thanks for sharing
S.V
Apparently 4.2 kilos/9 pounds.
do you guys have any music like on an album that you have made that we can buy?

i like elrick njs sound in ,my opinion .
Hi, how much does a guitar weigh?
Thanks for the nice review.
How about the weight of the bass?
By the way, yes - how much does it weigh?
Is the mid frequency switchable? Just you have Hi-Mid and Low-Mid boost/cut and I thought the Mids were just at one frequency?
Push pull for mid freq select, push for low mids and pull for high mids 👍
@@shaunstephen9761 I’ve bought one since and discovered this haha
would you recommend this over a Sire?
Sires have a lot of EQ on their preamps but hearing this cort basses, they just sound fenomenal
