I searched many videos on TH-cam platform but didn't understand this pitch related topic. After that I got this video and now i really understand the topic .. thank u sir
The method of explanation is exceptional, and the model and concepts presented are truly amazing. No one explains in such a thorough manner. This video is exactly what I've been searching for. ❤❤
bahut bahut dhanyavad sir, maja aa gya sir aaj finally mujhe concept clear ho gya. bahut sare vedio dekh liya tha but mai samajh nhi pa rha tha . thank you sir
I think, now I got the correct and easy to understand concept about the lap and wave winding concept related to the pitches it's the topic is very confusing but after seeing this vedio I have no any confusions about lap and wave windings but still iam going to see this vedio one or more times to clear about this concept but anyway you are doing lot of efforts to understand this concept Thanks a lot And thankyou so much sir.❤❤❤😂😂😂
Just awesome sir🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I'm so thankful to u for making this splendid vdo...pls do make vdo for all chapter of Machines and all topics of dc machine, pls sir 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻u make us understand in very easy way❤️❤️❤️ I was very scared of Electrical machine sub ...n I watched many vdos on this ..but finally found ur vdo as a saviour. You made this sub so easy... it's my kind req to u sir pls make vdo for all topic of dc machine and other chapter as well ...pls sir🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭😭
Thanks for your appreciation. Its a motivating force for me. Keep watching the channel for videos of DC machines and other topics of electrical machines. There are some videos of basics of DC generator, and more coming soon.
I am happy that it helps you. But keep that in mind, it is the student (yourself) who has the ability to understand, and so not just the teacher is to be given the credit. Don't be scared. You will understand all that is to be learned. All the best.
@@jimitkshukla sure sir, thank you. Sir can u explain me what's parallel path while deriving emf EQ... I'm getting confused between no of parallel path and no of conductor...r both same? Or, parallel path is slot?
That is a mistake. Z/slots is wrong. It would be slots/p. I have mistakenly interchanged slots with poles in the last equation. Correction is as below: Z = no. of conductors = no. of slots in single layer winding. No. of poles = P No. of pole pairs = P/2 = p Pole pitch = Z/p = Slots/p Thanks for your question, as it identified the mistake. I would add this correction in video description so that future viewers/students are not confused.
For explaining back pitch you placed the coil sides in such a way that back pitch is 4. And then told that it will be an odd number. Please give clarification. Also please clarify, for pole pitch calculation, if fore example north pole comes at slot 1 and south at 8, pole pitch is 7 or 8.
The placement is to demonstrate and for better understanding of concepts. I did not realize (as my focus was on explaining) that I placed it in such a way that back pitch happened to be 4, an even number, which is contradicting the concept which I was explaining. Please pardon me as it created confusion in understanding. I appreciate your observation. Your comment made me realize that I must also keep these small details in mind while demonstrating concepts. I will take care in future. Pole pitch calculation: North pole at slot 1, and next south pole at slot 8, then pole pitch is 8 - 1 = 7. (Understand by example: distance between 1 cm mark and 8 cm mark on a scale (ruler) would be 8 - 1 = 7 cm). This pole pitch is in terms of number of slots. Other methods: Pole pitch (in terms of slots) = total no. of slots / no. of poles Pole pitch(in mechanical degrees) = angular distance between 2 adjacent poles = 360/P or 2𝛑/P Pole pitch (in meter or inch) can also be calculated as arc length between 2 adjacent poles on stator inner circle with diameter D So Pole pitch (in meter or inch) = circumference / no. of poles = 𝛑D/P
Sir at time 10:17, ek coil jb full pitched h to uske dono conductor me induced emf out of phase hone chahiye na Qki ek conductor N-pole side h and dusra conductor S-pole side h. Sir please explain ❤❤
Pole pitch= Z/slots , here(7:41) both are equal so pole pitch should be 1 . But you are writing it 8. How? If we have n conductors , we can create a single coil of many (n/2) turns or n/2 coils of single turn . Am I correct????

Very excellent explanation. Thanks so much and God's blessings! I have some more questions about DC machines, how do I reach you please?
Wow awesome 🎉😊thank you 🙏🏻
Awesome. Crystal clear.
Very good. Thanks 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Sir
Can you explain what are the advantages about each winding systems pls
Sir good explanation 👍.
7:39 pole pitch =Z/pole =Z/slot . Could you pls explain.
That is a mistake. Z/slots is wrong. It would be slots/p.
I have mistakenly interchanged slots with poles in the last equation.
Correction is as below:
Z = no. of conductors = no. of slots in single layer winding.
No. of poles = P
No. of pole pairs = P/2 = p
Pole pitch = Z/p = Slots/p
Thanks for your question, as it identified the mistake. I would add this correction in video description so that future viewers/students are not confused.
Excellent 👍
It's great idea actually 🤩
excellant sir
Exceptional!!!!!!

Pole pitch calculation:
North pole at slot 1, and next south pole at slot 8, then pole pitch is 8 - 1 = 7. (Understand by example: distance between 1 cm mark and 8 cm mark on a scale (ruler) would be 8 - 1 = 7 cm).
This pole pitch is in terms of number of slots.
Other methods:
Pole pitch (in terms of slots) = total no. of slots / no. of poles
Pole pitch(in mechanical degrees) = angular distance between 2 adjacent poles = 360/P or 2𝛑/P
Pole pitch (in meter or inch) can also be calculated as arc length between 2 adjacent poles on stator inner circle with diameter D
So Pole pitch (in meter or inch) = circumference / no. of poles = 𝛑D/P
What's the cause for excessive sparks on the commutator bars?
Thanks for this video
Thanku sir.You explained it very well

Super sir
Why average pitch is taken as pole pitch in lap winding?
Aap back pitch ko 4 (@16:52) bata rahe hai aur sath hi ye bhi bol rahe hai ki back pitch hamesha odd number hota hai. How????
Realizing it that pitch means the distance between two entities of an armature.
Pole pitch= Z/slots , here(7:41) both are equal so pole pitch should be 1 . But you are writing it 8. How?
If we have n conductors , we can create a single coil of many (n/2) turns or n/2 coils of single turn . Am I correct????
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍100% concept
Sir, do u take any classes in any platform? I would love to enroll for Electrical Machines sub sir..
