It really was Scott's birthday and this is what he asked for as a gift. There may have been a lot of alcohol involved. And, despite the silly makeup and wigs, the music is still great!
Whats funny is I can’t hear Mitch hitting that high note but it shorts out my hearing aids so I know visually & by the hearing aids crapping out that he went crazy high.
Mitch is also talented in acting. As for his vocal skills, I highly recommend "Your Power" - Billie Eilish cover with Mitch's music. Yesterday it appeared.
I love watching reactions to this. It always starts with hilarious laughter over the wig and makeup, then you see people being drawn in to what turns out to be an incredibly talented, compelling performance. I've been waiting for you to react to this one! A complementary video is the PTX performance from Wicked. Mitch and Kirstie are unreal.
Unfortunately that performance of what is this feeling has been removed from TH-cam. I sent it from Twitter to another reactor so he could react to it and he ended up getting a strike on his channel because of it.
I love these old Superfruit videos. Yes, Mitch and Kirstie both have "Disney voices", don't they? I can't imagine the talent these two have that they can sound so awesome and beautiful just clowning and messing around!
The two of them did a lot of musical theater as kids, so they've been doing this sort of thing for a loooong time. It's amazing how they can do this so wonderfully, and this is them just messing around! Imagine how mindblowing it would have been if they were doing this in full seriousness! And you're absolutely right. Mitch is unreal. He has the voice of an angel. There's a reason all the others point to Mitch when asked which of them is the best singer.
As mch fun as they are having doing this video, the real passion they have for the music and the book burn through in this performance. Mitch especially really needs to do musical theater (dare I say Broadway?)...

Oh my Gawd! I love how you get their humour... and talent. I think Scott and Mitch were so smart creating this weekly treat for their fans. It was fun, unassuming and gave us (yes I am part of their fandom) a chance to know a little more about them and their friendship. I use to watch it every week. I really love all their musical segments, collabs and musical recommendations. It was often just silly but they always managed to put a smile of my face for the rest of the day. 🤗

Backstory from the Broadway show "Wicked," story of the Wicked WItch of the West from the Wizard of Oz. School friends Elphaba (eventually the Wicked Witch) and Glinda (the Good Witch) argue over Elphaba's recent defiant actions against the Wizard.
I have watch this a gazillion times and I still get chills. Even though they are “playing”, this piece from “Wicked” is phenomenal!! Loves, Loves, Loves It!!
Just curious ...did you know this was from the musical Wicked before you watched it? They met when they were kids doing musical theater, you can tell how much they enjoy it. I think I’ve rewatched their channel three times during quarantine. They always make me smile. As do you ☺️
Eddie, I noticed, looking through your PTX playlist, that you’ve never reacted to “Can You Feel the Love Tonight”...I know you love Disney so I was surprised. I think you should, you will LOVE it! It’s one of my favorite PTX videos ☺️
It's all one take. Which isn't surprising as anyone who has listen to the Wicked soundtrack the half zillion times we all do once we discover it can sing it word for word too! But notice how they look into the distance most of the song instead of at each other. When they look at each other is when they crack up.
FYI, no, I did not hear a cat. But I wasn't wearing headphones. Mitch is absolutely perfect. He would seriously be a huge star on Broadway. Scott would, too, in my opinion, and Kirstin already is! I want to hear them sing from Les Misérable or Phantom. That would be my dream!
Did you recognize the wig? It's the same one Mitch wore in the Frozen Medley. I believe that Mitch will eventually be on Broadway. He says he finds the idea scary which I can understand. but when they get too old to tour constantly it will be nice to have a stationary job.

Even though I am definitely not a fan of Wicked, I love Mitch singing anything. The fact he did this for Scotts birthday present was just so sweet.
