Great episode. I met Allen Grant In Eureka Springs at Mustang Week two years ago. He signed both mine and my wife's Mustangs. He is a great man and has done a lot for the racing world. He had no problem stopping to talk to people about their builds and appreciate their work.
I had a friend in the 60's who bought one, was green. I think I was 17 years old and he left me drive it (with him along of course). I wasn't the same after that!
Who were the sales guys that went around sports car clubs doing "demos"? I was a 19 year old kid in 1964 who was lucky enough to be offered a drive in an early 260 c.i. midnight blue car. (I know he repainted often to make it look like high volume production) I was so lucky to drive that car but as a teenager I didn't thank the sales guy or even get his name! You have my eternal thanks now! Jerry Parker
