I love how the double pilfering has been handled in the first game, but man... Getting rid of predator conservation to deny project to darcelmaw was an advanced thinking and a dangerous bet... It paid though

game 1 was the wildest game ever, completely agree with you about keeping predator partner project. I guess the lord works in mysterious ways

I like the idea behind it, sell all your good cards to give junk when you get pilfered. Would not have been something that came to my mind if I was playing live though

edit: the reason i didn't keep predator breeding was i was always intending on leaving darcel with dead cards to keep his economy low, so i was purging good cards from hand, perhaps a bad line with all the econ i had but i was still in contention for species 5 (i had snapping, a cards action, and draw 3 to find my fifth species) which removes any need for more projects
edit #2: i didnt even check korenx's hand post game, that was the most filthy rhino ever
also, i played ostritch over a better point animal because i realized i needed a strong draw to match korenx's hand, it drew me the second petting zoo animal to improve my equity somewhat but not enough

Agree! No shame in losing in the first round to anyone, there were no weak players this tournament (said as someone who also lost in the first round)!
