FOR FALLOUT 76 PLAYERS! I am happy you have found enjoyment in the Fallout series. However, keep these things in mind: Players were refused refunds at launch despite its terrible state. The canvas duffel bag in the $200 USD Power Armor Edition of Fallout 76 was replaced with a cheap nylon bag. This is fraudulent, period. Nonetheless, influencers pushing the product received free Fallout canvas bags from Bethesda. Bethesda accidentally leaked the private information of those who contacted Bethesda Support to have their bags replaced. Patches were released to make the game "grindier," reinforcing further playtime and in-game purchases. This was not disclosed in the patch notes. Nuka Dark Rum used deceiving marketing. The rum was in a regular bottle within a plastic casing. The plastic casing was advertised as if it were the actual bottle. They have used fake discount listings in the Atom Shop, where items were listed as if they were discounted. However, they were never sold at a higher price. This is illegal in some countries. Bethesda banned players and required 500-word essays to be unbanned. I want a 5,000-word essay from them to the community explaining all their wrongdoings. th-cam.com/video/kjyeCdd-dl8/w-d-xo.html bethaniaarts.com/2019/09/the-fallout-76-controversy-timeline-fall-2019-edition/ Please stop lecturing people that they need to give the game a second chance. They do not. I don't care how much you think they have turned things around. This is just a small list of the larger ethical issues involving this massive corporation that neither needs nor deserves your defense. You can like the game and still understand why people do not trust or want to support them in any way.
Fallout 76 was not broken on release. It was playable even if buggy. Were you on PlayStation? Because Sony has always been unwilling to give refunds - with No Man's Sky & CP2077 being the rare exceptions. My nephew bought the nylon bag off E-Bay as a joke gift for me. I understand why people expected the canvas bag, but the nylon bag has held up very well. I keep my extra cables in it. I hate most TH-cam "influencers" but aren't you one those? Patches to make the game grindier - I never noticed. Ever played Destiny? Bungie are the God King Scumbags for this kind of stuff. I've never not gotten what I wanted from the Atomic Shop. I have made accidental purchases and always have been refunded after submitting a request. Good luck getting a refund from Bungie. You are complaining about someone "lecturing" you about a second chance for F76 - that is pretty rich. You lectured F76 players in your video. I do understand why you might not want to support Bethesda. That's your right. You seem to really hate microtransaction. Hello... Horse Armor. BGS practically invented them. Anyway, given your stance, it does make me wonder why you'd want another Fallout game from MS/BGS.
@ no I’m not an influencer and I did not receive a bag for free. Do you work for them? Why tf are you hell bent on defending a corp tryna suck money out of ppl. Follow the links my man, this stuff is sourced. I am not using anecdotal information (from my own experiences.) Idk why you just blanket “hate” any group of people. Odd stance. There is better quality content in the form of free mods on the nexus than the atomic shop offers. You’re a fool to buy that shit. Idc if that’s upsetting to hear. Flat out fool burning money because things are simply offered for sale.
Your hateful little brain, shown here, earned you a thumbs down. Fallout 76 was certainly not broken at launch on my PC; I played daily from launch, whether your tiny, hateful, brain likes it, or not. Oh wait! I'm over 4000 hours in Fallout 76 as I type this. The game was never broken, liar. I just told TH-cam to no longer recommend your infectious spew to my feed. Have a rotten new year. Thumbs down. If I get too much grief over this response I'll be encouraged to your other videos as thoughtfully as I did here. hope your fanboys realize that too
It's really baffling how Microsoft is just letting Bethesda do absolutely nothing with the IP beyond releasing a broken next gen update for Fallout 4 and messing around with 76, surely other devs could do something, ANYTHING lol
I must be in the minority. The next gen update didnt break anything for me. Yes, I couldnt use FO4SE for a week or two, but other than that, it really did nothing...except make me realize that you can indeed go lower than rock bottom when it comes to expectations.
I remember way back when the fake Fallout 4 announcement had the entire community hyped up. It seemed like 5 years was an endless amount of time between New Vegas and Fallout 4, it seemed unacceptable even. I can't believe it's been nearly 10 years since the last mainline single player Fallout release. Borderline embarrassing at this point.
76 is not beans friend and it's been a running breathing thing for quite awhile now. They do need to get a fresh team on it if they are going to move forward though because Todd is busy playing TV producer. And the other talent i all up in the next D&D chapter. Skyrim etc etc etc,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Bethesda doesn't deserve Fallout anymore. Honestly I don't even know if we should get a new Fallout game when you look at what Bethesda has recently done. They just don't understand Fallout and probably never really have.
@@nvRanger Even a lot of the fans nowadays have come from Fallout 4 and don't really understand the game as well. The amount of weird takes on lore I find online and then I find out that the people have only played FO4.
It’s not just fallout it’s every single triple AAA franchise. They’re taking 10x longer in between releases With that 10x extra time and ever improving technology you’d expect the games to be 10x more improved than before but the games aren’t even improved, let alone 10x.
Duke Nukem used that excuse and the final product still ended up garbage. Just use the engine u got and add to it s needed. 76 still looks fine and plays well for the most part.
@zachsaccount323 we will see. We’re betting on the trend that rockstar has never released a bad game VS the trend of every game being bad since rockstars last release. Also rockstar just like everyone else is taking 10x longer in between games so it’s hope we’re banking on. And right now Rockstar is my last hope.
I was your age when Skyrim came out, just starting my senior year of high school, now I’m in my 30s and barely have time for gaming. By now I’ve accepted that -when- if Elder Scrolls 6 comes out, I’ll probably be too old to get into it
I replayed Fallout4 after watching the show, i was finding the engine is quite bad in fact the character displacement is very bad and i don't have this feeling when i replay Fallout 3/new vegas.
Step 1. Fire Emil and Todd Step 2. Hire some damn writers (Chris Avellone, anyone?) Step 3. Form a specific fallout studio. Phil spencer needs to man up and tell todd the IP is going to another stuido. Period.
Does that make them the most money, or would that mean the resulting games would be more to your and my liking? What do the people around Bethesda want, to make you and me happy? Or to make tons of money instead? I only see it going downhill further from this point, as it has been for the past 15? years.
@@sussyman9034 Little Todd "Pinocchio" Howard is a double-edged sword for marketing. "It just works" isn't a joke for no reason; Todd overpresents, overpromises and consistently disappoints. Even if a more consistent and competent studio took the reins, he'd somehow find a way to sabotage the marketing with his patent-pending smoke and mirrors.
Remember when Todd was talking about how he loved quick announcement to release timelines? What happened to that? Threw his own values out the window...
All that time wasted on starfield just for it to flop when we could've had elder scrolls 6 out instead an fallout 5 coming in '25 or latest '26 but personally while we wait idk why they don't release a couple fallouts in the older graphics like 3 and NV I'm sure a lot of us wouldnt mind those to hold us over till fallout 5 came out given it wouldn't be to hard for them to pump out those kind of fallouts
I think they barely have any idea or concept on what Fallout 5 should be and are distracting us with table scraps (games wise). Like you said, they should try the New Vegas formula again and give it to a reliable 3rd party and (hoepfully) something good comes out of it :D
Yea at this point I would be much more excited for a new take. Comes with risk but perhaps a smaller hungrier studio would treat it w care, knowing their reputation is at stake.
the funniest thing is when they were trying to buy the ip todd said to obsidian ''don't let the franchise rust away'' but now they're doing the same thing
Todd Howard doesn't understand a fundamental principle of business: You don't make the product you want to make, you make the product your customers want to buy.
I’m sure he knows more about business than I do, but he has crippled his reputation in the last 9ish years since Fallout 4 and especially 76. I agree with you, we shouldn’t just accept what they’re doing with Fallout without speaking up.
What Fallout game would sell the best in your opinion? Does location matter? A) Fallout in New York B) Fallout in Miami C) Fallout in Los Angeles D) Fallout in Seattle E) Fallout in a new country F) Fallout Remake(s) G) Location is irrelevant
New York would work and would help solve a lot of bethesdas own plot holes, Miami would be absolutely sick, imagine mutated crocodiles and a florida man perk, Los Angeles would be good and would help build lore of the ncr and would tie into the tv show but bethesda never makes west coast fallout games so i doubt that they would do it, A new country wouldnt work beacuse w already have fallout london, plus new lore and new everyhting would need to be created from the start leading to massive plot holes, A remake of new vegas, or fallout 3 would be the best thing to do as we wait for fallout 5, and shouldnt be too hard as modders have already done this basically, and i think location is relevant as it will decide what creatures spawn, what enemies, what culture, what lore and so many other variables rely on location. Edit: I forgot seattle imao, I think seattle would be the most likely west coast game, as bethesda already worked on anchorage dlc, but i feel it would be more similar to the frontier in terms of climate and weapons and enemies, and i think its unlikely they would make it.
The primary reasons why we're in a Fallout drought are: 1. Releasing Fallout 76 in a half- completed state; 2. The decision- carried out in Fallout 76- to change from a serious storyline interspersed with humor to a humorous storyline interspersed with seriousness; 3. The decision to make the creation engine available to the public for Fallout 4, followed by the release of the multi- player Fallout 76 using that same game engine- which resulted in members of the player base hacking Fallout 76 to death. 4. The dud of Starfield. 5. By far the most significant reason was Bethesda Games Studios' change of emphasis to micro- transacting. This has effectively ruined the Fallout genre. There's little chance that Bethesda will take the time and make the effort required to produce a quality game with a manageable level of bugs, a solid storyline, 80,000 or so lines of dialogue, and cutting edge graphics. The great minds behind Fallout 3 are no longer employed by Bethesda. The sole chance that the public has of getting anything like FO3 or FONV is a company other than Bethesda producing it.
even Fallout 3 had a lot of downfalls. I wish they would just take away the IP as a whole from BGS and give it to a newer studio that’s willing to make a good rpgs like the original Fallout games.
its because they expected 76 to be the game every fan would flock to and consume every drip feed of content that game puts out for years to come. In reality the majority of FO fans want a fallout 5, not a live service online game.
I want both. I play 76 with friends and family, as if it's Minecraft in the Fallout universe. Thanks to Fallout 1st, I can have my own private world. At the same time, I'd like to see a New Vegas 2 from Obsidian in 2026ish. I'd really like to see Fallout 5 made by Larian in 2027ish. Larian's Baldur's Gate 3 was a worthy successor to BG2 and that took 25 years to happen - but it was done right. Fallout 3 & 4 were not near as good as Fallout 1 & 2. New Vegas wasn't either, but it was closer. IMO. BTW, as far back as Fallout 2 there were people wanting Fallout Online. Anyone saying "nobody asked for this" is incorrect. Wanting Fallout Online didn't mean we didn't also want more single player Fallout. There can be room for both.
@@martyk656 you could have your own private world if BGS allowed people to play the game offline for no cost. Why would you argue in favor of paying for something that is free in every other title. It is entirely unnecessary. “Thanks to fallout 1st…” good god man, wtf
idk why but i always remember fallout 76 as 2019 or 2020 release. I think the main thing is that, Bethesda still makes money from the old games being sold and the Online games makes them a good ammountof cash so why bother putting effort and money into making something new then just perpetually update these online games. I mean hello remember the TES teaser they showed? When was that like 2019 ? It's been nearly a decade and at this point we desperatly need a new fallout game, a good game at that. Edit: I also think New Vegas also has an affect on the new Fallout game since well Fallout 4 came out and it was the most dumb down roleplaying options ever and everyone compared it to New Vegas. Bethesda probably doesn't have the skill to make dialogue and options as engaging as New Vegas so thats probably why they haven't done anything with the franchise. I mean look at Starfield.
You have to remember that most likely from Bethesda and Microsoft’s point of view, the gap in “new” games is by design. Do you forget how long GTAV was active? Fortnite still going right? Why not Fortnite 2? Long term revenue with out expensive production cycles is the goal. Why spend 100’s of millions of dollars on FO5 when you can milk 76 for 10 years? And do you really think they are just going to drop FO5 as a complete, one-time purchase single player experience and then call it a day? It will be monetized to the moon. Fallout First will still somehow be embedded, with a season pass, and they will try to get another 10 year cycle out of it.
They released Fallout 76 due to the success of ESO. It obviously failed for the first few years, but it definitely got people hooked, and that's all that matters for them.
Imo fallout 76 had a beautiful charm where no npcs existed besides robots and enemies. I can agree at some point there needs to be human npc interactions but what they did with the wastelanders update was good but I feel that you needed to complete the scorched plague quest line and then add all the new npcs
@ honestly I’m in the exact same boat. I didn’t mind fo4 that much compared to some fans with the hate wagons but New Vegas I truly believe was the last good Fallout game
Yep, I don’t like the excessive hate from corners of the fan base. Fallout 4 misses in areas for me, but I played and modded that game a bunch and I’m sure I will again.
It's for the best with fallout to be on ice over seeing A writer that does not understand fallout overall, emil pagliarulo is a complete clown when writing for bethesda (and yes i think he should be fired) & Todd Howard.... yea no he gets the boot and that most likely will not happen due to him most likely going to "retire" in a couple of years. At this point i say bring back the writer of New Vegas or Fallout II or find a writer that UNDERSTANDS fallout of a whole and the true meaning, overall also i say let microsoft yoink the Fallout IP from bethesda and just form a new studio to work on fallout franchise at least 100% of the time (Like the coalition that works on gears of war)
@@nvRanger At this Point i say let BGS die and a new gaming studio somewhat takes it's place, BGS was good while it lasted now it's a issue and that issue needs to be starved out of money, if i were Microsoft i would form new studios for the Fallout IP and Elder Scrolls IP both studios work on 1 game at a time and each game release 2 to 5 years (5 years is the max).
Fallout is one of my favourite game of all time. Fallout 1 and 2, standalone mods like Nevada and Sonora, 3D series from 3 to NV and 4 but looking at what's going on with my beloved franchise - im just buried it. Like yeah i can sometimes replay Fallout 1 or 2, but after 76 and Starfield, it's best to just forgot about this series just not to be disappointed rly
to put it bluntly, we suffer from this Fallout draught, because people HAVE and continue to support Fallout 76. they are milking the players that hang around in that community, and it makes me physically ill to boot.
Couldn't agree more. This year alone I've put 700 hours into FO4 and FNV combined. I love the series so much and it's a shame they are doing fuck all with it. If Bethesda really can't spare devs to start work on a new title then now would be a perfect time to hand it off to a third party
@@Temp0ral_ I think a lot of us are just floating between those two games. I do enjoy returning to them but it’s starting to feel sillier with each new 300+ mod play through.
I’m glad people have grown to enjoy it, certainly no issue there. I do have an issue with this trend in gaming of actively deceiving people with a half-baked release at full price, especially from a AAA studio like BGS. Not to mention a full price game that charges absurd amounts for micro-transactions angled towards young people with minimal financial responsibility.
I like to add that due to this long hiatus of the series, we have had LARGE mods for the Fallout games go from start to finish. The community almost treats them like their own games. I am specifying Fallout London With how the community has had to fill in the space with their own stuff due to the lack of games being released.
Yea and I love that, but it leaves console players with nothing. They'll never be getting the Skyblivions, Skywinds, F4NV's, or FOLON's. Many PC players won't bother with the little bit of extra hassel to play those as well.
Betheda just doesnt deserve Fallout at this point. Theyre half assing the games and making all the money off of them and its not even an IP they created.
Yea that makes it even worse. They made TES so they might as well destroy it if they want (not that I'm happy about it). Fallout stings a little worse because we know what it could be in the hands of other developers.
To be fair, I'm more scared of new games coming out that never seeing a new one again. Bethesda especially has been on a downward trend and i liked Fallout 4.
Yea Fallout 4 was not what I was looking for from Fallout, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy parts of it and play it. Can’t say the same for 76 and starfield
@theboatmserfgsd I agree the TV show had very lazy writing and boring storyline that didn’t seem at all faithful to the originals despite being set in california.
The problem is that bethesda has a monopoly on these type of games, nobody makes TES/Fallot competitors so they're not really affected by the long waits since they're always making loads of cash passively or when they release a new game. I also think you're underestimating how much money ESO and F76 are pulling monthly, it was reported around september that ESO had a monthly revenue of 15 million dollars so it can be inferred that F76 is pulling similar numbers due to similar player size. Also, regarding your point about Microsoft interfering with the IPs, you should keep an eye on how the Oblivion remaster pans out, the leaks suggest that the whole project is handled by another studio and if it's successful it could mean that MS might make bethesda share the IPs. Then again, it could also fall flat on its face if Skybivion is much more successful and we'll be back to where we are right now.
I don’t disagree that those games pull money, but like I said, idk how much sp releases interfere with those games. I think different kinds of players play mmos and online games like that than those who enjoy the sp experiences. Remakes included
I dont understand why they made a tv series on amazon (also pretty succesfull) without annuncing the new fallout😂 i mean wtf they losing all the hype... its been 10 years since fallout 4 (i dont consider 76 lol) and this year we re going to have outer worlds 2 , and in my opinion a lot of fallout lovers will go play this
Fallout 76 only makes sense when you look at the revenue accrued by Fallout: Shelter between its release and Fallout 4. They saw that monetization in the Fallout IP worked, and decided to step it up with Fallout: 76, not realising the consumers for a mainline Fallout game is different enough from a Fallout mobile game to result in backlash.
I haven't played everything, but from my experience, and the overall sentiment from others, the pattern goes a little something like: Morrowind > Oblivion > Fallout 3 > Skyrim > Fallout 4 > Fallout 76 > Starfield. The tide is finally turning, Starfield was not tolerated like the last few games, but still some say it was not bad or even good. Once we receive a terrible Elder Scrolls 6, there will be no more excuses. This game has to be their best, bar none. But that 20+ year pattern above says it all.
Yea that’s what I have gathered as well. I have heard Morrowind is their best in many ways. Even if that pattern isn’t exact for everyone, 76 and Starfield are new lows.
Many consider Daggerfall the pinnacle. And none of them from Bethesda were as good as the RPGs from Interplay/Black Isle. Bethesda games are always janky messes, but they are big janky messes that can be fun to play around inside. The success of Skyrim apparently gave people the impression that Bethesda was much greater than they actually are.
Bruh the gap for an elderscroll game is even greater. They announced the elderscrolls 6 back in 2018 with a a trailer saying that it was in production 😂 it’s now 2025
Here’s my unpopular take, Bethesda isn’t even doing a good job with the Fallout franchise. 3 and 4 were so mid. 3 felt bland and boring a straight rip from fallout 1 and 2, oh you’re a vault dweller and we need a cool device (as seen in fallout 2) to purify water, and when the jobs done you can’t return home. The only thing 4 had going for it was that it was a cool looter shooter, it didn’t even feel like an rpg let alone a fallout game. 1, 2, and NV are what fallout games should be, an immersive world, the narrative choices were amazing, the stories had moral complexity, they gave 100% free roleplaying ability, you could destroy entire towns and the game would remember it with faction reputation. 1, 2 and NV had actual soul and love poured into their games, 3, 4, and 76 were just cash grabs off a known IP
We're in an age where the fans cannot rely on big AAA corps to delivet their fav games anymore and have to take matter into our own hands. Look how many big Fallout campaign mods are on the making.
London is the only one that has actually come out maybe sim settlements 2 if you count it nothing else is ever really coming out theres always gunna be abuncha "dlc sized" mods in perpetual development hell
I can't believe the last fallout game was Fallout 4. Now we're having to rely on the British with Fallout London and the furries and people not allowed near children with Fallout the Frontier.
I was almost certain that they would lend the IP to Obsidian for New Vegas 2 when Microsoft bought both of the companies. I'm getting the feeling that not even that is gonna happen.
@@DarthJulia Obsidian ain't what they used to be. Most of the pure talent that brought us the likes of New Vegas is simply gone, replaced with folks whose priorities don't emphasize the quality of their games. Really, we need a new studio with some of the old Interplay, Obsidian and even Bethesda talent to pick up the license, but the likelihood of that happening is lower than Gabe Newell walking on-stage at a games showcase and saying "Three".
I completely agree, as a fallout and elders scrolls fan, do they thing their customers are gonna live forever??? M tired of waiting over a decade for new content
The biggest mistake was Microsoft buying Bethesda. It seems like it's just gotten worse for the Bethesda fans because Microsoft is more interested in profit first and also exclusivity so they can just sell consoles.
They wanted to do space rpg they shouldn’t have because they can’t compete in that market and they know elder scrolls is their bread and butter which they should have been put out the next one just give fallout to obsidian or someone else shit the studio who did bg3 said they were in talks to make a spin off for them
It's incredible to me how Bethesda went from one of the most beloved developers of all time to one of the industries absolute worst. Fallout 4 remains a broken mess after their "next gen" update, Fallout 76 is still a broken mess after years of updates. Skyrim remains their most played game due to mods, and Starfield... I don't even want to get started on that game. They don't care about their fan base, at all and it's crystal clear. The entire game industry is in a very bad place at the moment. I feel like we're going to have hit rock bottom moments before develops change course or some heros step in to fill the void. Gamers are yearning for the days of old when games were art not corporate cash grabs.
You can even see that with how people think of Todd Howard. We used to hang on his every word with baited breath. No he's become a meme that few people will trust.
That mod project looks great, but the risk with all large project like that is that the devs lose interest/time for work on them. Hopefully it sees the light of day.
there shouldn’t be this stupid “cycle” in the first place. BGS shouldn’t have two totally separate IPs waiting just because they’re too stingy with the IPs
To be fair, they did a good job saving 76 from the dirt it stood in. Now that the main map has more to it, they need to add more maps to it. If it were me, I'd make the next fallout similar to GTA. The main game is offline, but you can switch to online to play with friends. If your online and offline character is the same, the switch to online would act as a "flashback" transition so you can play with your friends prior to the events of the main campaign. (For a neutral map not affected by the choices you make in the main story. Which would cause issues in an online game. Think like playing the courier before he gets shot.) I would make it so it slowly unveils the whole U.S. and possibly Little America with each major update. The main reason: So the areas can be polished before release as if you release one gigantic map in one go, it could be underdeveloped. I have some ideas on how to explain some oversights in the previous games.
Honestly, I'm perfectly fine if there's never another Fallout game. For me, the TV show killed any hope of another good Fallout game by breaking the unwritten rule of keeping Bethesda Fallout separated from Classical Fallout, and just completely ignoring the old games entirely. If there was ever a "New Vegas 2" it would be a shitty 50s theme FPS with a story about having to find your dad or something.
They gonna do TES6 first bc they deserve it more than fallout with the lack of content for them. I feel 76 and the show are gonna be all we have to keep going
Best awnser i cam give is i think there afraid of veing shown up again. Fnv was better then 3 and 4 was modern but at best like 6.5/10. If they release a bad fallout game now its going to be a big nail in the coffin.
There was a point where people wanted BGS to succeed, they wanted to like their games. Now people are ready to be at their throats because they have burned all their good faith and trust with the fan base.
Don't forget the broken fallout 4 next gen update. Its been eight months, and they have yet to fix it. I legitimately think they broke the game purposely to push people to 76.
Hot take: The gaming industry is so full of paint by numbers DEI bs that the fact that the franchise has been on ice is a net positive. Once the industry has whole moves on from trying kowtow to people that don't even play games, then good games can come back. I will be happy when this happens and am willing to wait until that time.
if new vegas released in this day and age, it would still be touted as a masterpiece despite satisfying DEI standards in the gaming industry. There are many gay characters in the game and it still can be good. it’s not so much DEI that has an effect as it is lazy writing, bad storytelling, not to mention corporate greed has had a huge impact on the industry.
So many different genres of games could also be made. Maybe a Fallout Tactics 2... a remake of 1 and 2. A Fallout horror/survival game where you are being hunted by a Deathclaw. A Fallout RTS game in the style of Age of Empires...
absolutely, the series has so much potential. Tactics 2, xcomm style or something would be great. Remake 1 and 2 in similar engines to the modern wasteland games., easy money, easy fun for players.
Maybe they're taking longer so that way they can extract as much potential ideas from modders and gives them enough time to implement all those ideas into their game and they don't even have to pay them free content that's probably what they're thinking the suits the bean counters
Bethesda game studios is also a relatively small team compared to names like Ubisoft or ea. those companies employ thousands and I think Skyrim was made with like a 100 people, although bgs is bigger now. But yea they should be lending out the fallout ip but I think Todd wants full control over it now.
We have no Idea what going on with it? They said many times that they want Starfield then Elder Scrolls 6 and then Fallout 5. SImple. Elder Scrolls 6 is now 1 Year in development so it should take 2 to 3 more years and the Virus also delayed everything. Starfield should have released 2 years earlier in 2021 instead of 2023.
one thing people might've forget is that the company rushed to include a battle royale/arena type of game mode mid development. Again! something the fans didn't want. This only reinforces the obvious, Bethesda wanted an endless cash grab. When the trailer for 76 dropped I was excited, then I found out it was always online no npc multiplayer with battle royale I laughed and decided right there that wasn't buying
We cant even say Bethesda takes time because they release quality games anymore. FO4 is basically a FPS set in the Fallout universe. FO76 is just an insult.
I hear what you are saying. I think something else should be considered here. Fallout first debuted in 1997. So it was being worked on for some years before that. If the folks behind that were in their mid twenties at that time, they would be in their mid fifties today. I think it would be fair to say they have had some success and probably want to enjoy being semi-retired and spend time doing their hobbies and being with their families. And the people who took over are clearly from the micro-transaction era. Thats why there hasn’t been a new fallout game. Also, these games aren’t being developed during all of the time in between games. So all this time in between games it isn’t like they are working on anything compared to say the way rockstar works on GTA or IF AND treyarch work on COD. Unfortunately the games development industry doesn’t work the way it sounds like you might imagine it does.
I got starfield on sale a couple weeks ago. After 24 hours invested honestly it’s not a bad game, I did mod it almost immediately though to fix things I already seen were a problem though lol
I know their focus is FPS but feel someone like Nightdive Studio could handle a remake of at least Fallout 3. That people with their track record feels they give a shit for the game they have made remasters or ports to modern platforms.
As long as 76 is still kicking nothing is going to change, whenever a series gets a live service game it means it'll keep going on until they milk it dry
I completely agree man. You would think with Microsoft’s recourses they could pump out games like cod. Plus the writing material is abundant, fallout 1 and 2. Not to mention the much deserved and desired remasters of 3 and NV
@ I would prefer the remakes of all past games to be complete overhauls while keeping the same storylines and classical magic. Basically modernized fallout 4 gameplay with OG elements
Feeling out bethesdas ideas is hard. it seems they doesn't understand we Are in a drought. they think fallout 76 and the fallout tv show are the stand in that Makes fallout seamless. It is kinda infuriating. Like they dont care. You kinda understand more than most. Given the random merch drops they seem to think they are giving enough content and fallout stuff. like the fallout 4 Update. You get the idea.
Yea I barely even remember the Fallout 4 update. Wasn’t it free as well? It’s not like people watch a show like Fallout on repeat for years either. I’d imagine most watch it once and stop.
I think it simply comes down to the imagination and creativity of the developers and team. They have the engine, character creators, world building(what many of us love most about Bethesda games). There's probably a plethora of reasons why they haven't made, what we consider, the right moves. But one I can see is the lack of creativity and imagination. And I do wonder if the corporate developers are keeping the creative directors down by politics, seniority, or political correctness or wokeness.
Here's the thing about Bethesda -- they are a tiny studio that punches WAY above their weight. They aren't a massive behemoth like EA or Ubisoft. They are based out of a tiny building in Rockville, MD. They've mostly just been publishing games by smaller developers because they don't have the capacity to crank out their biggest IPs with any regularity. On the other hand, since New Vegas, they've been really stingy about getting other studios involved with their big IPs. Personally, I think they are a little jealous over the love FNV has in the community. Why Phil Spencer hasn't forced them to hand over Fallout to Obsidian or inXile just to have current product for the XBox Series X is baffling. But he's really the only one that can make something happen here.
yea, I think they have been rapdily expanding with new studios though. BGS has an extra studio working on 76 I believe. I would love inXile to get a shot at a Fallout or TES game at this point.
FOR FALLOUT 76 PLAYERS!
I am happy you have found enjoyment in the Fallout series. However, keep these things in mind:
Players were refused refunds at launch despite its terrible state.

Please stop lecturing people that they need to give the game a second chance.

It's really baffling how Microsoft is just letting Bethesda do absolutely nothing with the IP beyond releasing a broken next gen update for Fallout 4 and messing around with 76, surely other devs could do something, ANYTHING lol
Right?! It’s been years since Microsoft acquired them as well, yet nothing…
You people do understand that fallout isn’t there only ip… right?
@CreeperPlaysGames373what other ips? Elder scrolls? Star field? Lol

Step 1. Fire Emil and Todd
Step 2. Hire some damn writers (Chris Avellone, anyone?)
Step 3.

They thought D&D players would be thrilled to play in space. THEY WERE WRONG!!
Yup, the game no one asked for
all that for the slopfest Starfield....
As much as I would love that, Todd just wouldn’t allow it, he got upstaged before and he doesn’t want it again.

Todd Howard doesn't understand a fundamental principle of business:
You don't make the product you want to make, you make the product your customers want to buy.
I’m sure he knows more about business than I do, but he has crippled his reputation in the last 9ish years since Fallout 4 and especially 76.

What Fallout game would sell the best in your opinion? Does location matter?
A) Fallout in New York
B) Fallout in Miami
C) Fallout in Los Angeles
D) Fallout in Seattle
E) Fallout in a new country
F) Fallout Remake(s)
G) Location is irrelevant
Fallout Chicago
Fallout L.A but it's all of California and parts of surrounding states
@Imperial.Soldier Im pretty sure we already did that with Fallout: Tactics
New York, I wanna see how big the rats would be in it
The primary reasons why we're in a Fallout drought are:
1. Releasing Fallout 76 in a half- completed state;
2. The decision- carried out in Fallout 76- to change from a serious storyline interspersed with humor to a humorous storyline interspersed with seriousness;
And it won’t have the shelf life of their past games without mods…
@@nvRanger most definitely
Aren't whoever makes the Final Fantasy games up to chapter 3000 or so? Same thing I think.
I just thought “yeah 7 years since fallout 4 but we just got 76 a couple years ago” . Feels bad

@@nvRanger id do anything for Bethesda to do a game every 6 years with obsidian doing a game in the middle
Wouldn’t be against that. Hopefully it would bring the best out of both given they’d be competing a bit.

Idc i want a new fallout to release cuz i just want new concept arts because its always a billion times better than the actual game
Fallout does have amazing concept art. I could look at the concepts for cities all day.
The new fallout show is terrible we don’t need that writing in a new game
@theboatmserfgsd I agree the TV show had very lazy writing and boring storyline that didn’t seem at all faithful to the originals despite being set in california.
The answer is Bethesda I’m pretty sure they view the mobile game as a main fallout offering which is insane
That is insane if they think Shelter and Blades mean anything to their established player base.
They saw that monetization in the Fallout IP worked, and decided to step it up with Fallout: 76, not realising the consumers for a mainline Fallout game is different enough from a Fallout mobile game to result in backlash.
no singleplayer spinoff
endless slop in 76
76/ESO needs boycotted to force their hand
I haven't played everything, but from my experience, and the overall sentiment from others, the pattern goes a little something like:
Morrowind > Oblivion > Fallout 3 > Skyrim > Fallout 4 > Fallout 76 > Starfield.
They announced the elderscrolls 6 back in 2018 with a a trailer saying that it was in production 😂 it’s now 2025
At least you guys in the fallout fanbase still get content, it’s been 13 years since we’ve got a game in the Elder Scrolls series

At least we got London
@@dagobahstudios3662 yea, gotta appreciate the fan projects around TES and Fallout.
We're in an age where the fans cannot rely on big AAA corps to delivet their fav games anymore and have to take matter into our own hands. Look how many big Fallout campaign mods are on the making.
@@Vantud391 absolutely true, also shows how passionate ppl are for the series. People were nearly treating Fallout London like an official release.
It's just like with Rockstar, It's been almost 12 years since the release of GTA 5
you're right, they monetize GTA online and then do nothing. Would rather have another Red Dead game tbh
Because Todd hates you and Bethesda stopped caring about making good games 13 years ago
I wish Todd didn’t hate me ) : would like a respectful chat w the fella
even Skyrim started showing a lack of promise, good worldbuilding, and rpg mechanics
You’re not wrong, especially when compared to prior elder scrolls
I completely agree, as a fallout and elders scrolls fan, do they thing their customers are gonna live forever??? M tired of waiting over a decade for new content
good way to put it, we only got a handful more entries for each in our lifetime...
Dude I’m sorry if this is off topic but I gotta know what your new Vegas modlist is 😭
No prob, check my recent mod video’s description. Theres a mod list at the bottom with link to everything
the main studio is like what 500k employee ?
The biggest mistake was Microsoft buying Bethesda. It seems like it's just gotten worse for the Bethesda fans because Microsoft is more interested in profit first and also exclusivity so they can just sell consoles.
They wanted to do space rpg they shouldn’t have because they can’t compete in that market and they know elder scrolls is their bread and butter which they should have been put out the next one just give fallout to obsidian or someone else shit the studio who did bg3 said they were in talks to make a spin off for them
I played Fallout 4 when I was 8 but will probably play 5 when I'm 25
I played Fallout 4 when it came out and I was 15 at the time. Now I'll be playing Fallout 5 in my late 30's lol
I’m slowly going more and more insane with every new year that doesn’t bring a GOOD fallout
Nuevo Mexico is my only hope
That mod project looks great, but the risk with all large project like that is that the devs lose interest/time for work on them. Hopefully it sees the light of day.
As much as I love fallout, elder scrolls deserves this time, we have not seen a game since Skyrim, mindfully wait your turn.
lol you’re not wrong. I’d prefer to see Fallout go to a new dev though and get out of the BGS cycle.
there shouldn’t be this stupid “cycle” in the first place. BGS shouldn’t have two totally separate IPs waiting just because they’re too stingy with the IPs
Why have you abandoned us, my Todd?
A Fallout with DEI, avoiding any chance someone could be offended. I don´t even want to think about it.
Almost 14 years without a elder scrolls gane either 😢
both series just iced for online games most of the original player base didn't even want...
1:47 do you know what else is massive…

@ low taper faaaaadeee
Y’all are so fucking close to getting it but your dislike of certain people gets in the way it’s sad
I just picked up the Spiderman Remastered for PC and was reminded what a good game looks like.
if new vegas released in this day and age, it would still be touted as a masterpiece despite satisfying DEI standards in the gaming industry.
I don't even consider f76 a fallout game 😂😂😂
Maybe they're taking longer so that way they can extract as much potential ideas from modders and gives them enough time to implement all those ideas into their game and they don't even have to pay them free content that's probably what they're thinking the suits the bean counters
They do seem to take some inspiration from modders. I recall an old mod of settlement building alchestbreach covered back in the day before fallout 4.
Bethesda game studios is also a relatively small team compared to names like Ubisoft or ea. those companies employ thousands and I think Skyrim was made with like a 100 people, although bgs is bigger now. But yea they should be lending out the fallout ip but I think Todd wants full control over it now.
I have been having a great time with fallout mods
@@masterofrockets yea I guess no new games means the old ones keep healthier modding communities alive.
An online fallout game is when I decided to replay fallout 4 ad infinitum
would like to see a mod project to recreate 76 in Fallout 4 so we can at least mod 76.

@@GameBoyDame Ooooo, alright. I'll check out their discord to keep track of development. Thanks
@nvRanger No problem. Keep in mind it's only one guy working on it. He's been working on it since about 2021, I think.
what mods are you using in the background gameplay
Tons, my mod videos have mod lists in the description. Just check the channel
Because Fallout 76
People don't realize it, but a live service means no more sequels.
Yea, sad reality in the direction they took. Same with ESO.
We're not in 2008 anymore, they don't give a fuck about quality anymore, and they made 76 cause it's easier to monetize an online game.
yea I guess its also easier to prey upon children with access to their parents credit cards too
We have no Idea what going on with it? They said many times that they want Starfield then Elder Scrolls 6 and then Fallout 5. SImple. Elder Scrolls 6 is now 1 Year in development so it should take 2 to 3 more years and the Virus also delayed everything. Starfield should have released 2 years earlier in 2021 instead of 2023.
one thing people might've forget is that the company rushed to include a battle royale/arena type of game mode mid development. Again! something the fans didn't want. This only reinforces the obvious, Bethesda wanted an endless cash grab. When the trailer for 76 dropped I was excited, then I found out it was always online no npc multiplayer with battle royale I laughed and decided right there that wasn't buying
you made a good choice not to buy, I wsh enough of us did so they wouldn't be sitting on that game until today
Just wait till you hear how long Elder Scrolls fans have been waiting for ES6.
yea believe me, I'm right there with them. I want TES 6 on one hand, not sure if BGS is gonna give us a TES 6 we actually want, though.
@@nvRanger The sad thing is you’re probably 100% right.
I know their focus is FPS but feel someone like Nightdive Studio could handle a remake of at least Fallout 3. That people with their track record feels they give a shit for the game they have made remasters or ports to modern platforms.
Had to look them up. I see they remade system shock. Would be cool to see. Definitely don’t need Bethesda/Obsidian to do the remakes themselves.
As long as 76 is still kicking nothing is going to change, whenever a series gets a live service game it means it'll keep going on until they milk it dry
You’re right and it hurts
this makes me mad bethasda go back to rpg fallout games
I completely agree man. You would think with Microsoft’s recourses they could pump out games like cod. Plus the writing material is abundant, fallout 1 and 2. Not to mention the much deserved and desired remasters of 3 and NV
There’s so much potential and BGS doesn’t have the lock on it they used to. They could even remake 1, 2, & Tactics similar to wasteland 2/3.

@@Aaron_Red_Ran_Angerthe effort is profound
All they gotta do is remaster new Vegas and BOOM hella money. They could even sell it for 60 clams and it would still sell insane numbers.
Completely agree. Fallout 3 and NV remakes would sell great on their own at full price. Don’t understand the wait.
Please make a mode install tutorial on every mod you are using in the video (FNV)
absolutely not, sorry. I'm not an expert. I have a mod list in mod videos on the channel, follow Viva New Vegas for a mod guide.
Not optimistic of Fallout anyways, next fallout is Brotherhood vs Enclave again, or at the very least Brotherhood will be a big major faction again...
I'd bet you're right. Next cover will probably have the BoS or Enclave on the cover too. They mill those factions like they milk the series.
