Moisturizing your hands and body, with lotion, works wonders,! But, mixing 50/50 downy liquid laundry softener or similar with water, and spray the mixture, to your clothing, bedding, fabric car seats, will take the ZAP, out of your day! You’re welcome! Aloha808

I had a beautiful long cardigan chenille-like sweater made of acrylic and nylon that arrived slightly wrinkly. I placed it in the dryer with a damp towel to remove the wrinkles, and it came out very staticky. I tried several common ways of fixing it, and they didn't work. So finally, after watching this video, I sprayed it heavily with a soft fog-like spray that did the trick. So yes, the loss of the moister in the dryer had caused the problem. Thank you!

Thanks for the tips. I use the little sheets but for sports clothes that can’t have any softener it doesn’t work. I’ll try the dampening next time

Thank you 😊 This helped a ton! I also find that mixing synthetic material in the dryer with wool makes it worse! So, no wool socks in with the rest of the laundry 😅

So glad it helped! Yes, you're right, mixing fabrics can be problematic too! Thanks for watching!

I have a couple of knitted sweaters with this issue, but I've usually dried them on a drying rack.
Gonna try to get a hold of a spritzer bottle and hope that helps. It's somewhat unnerving to take the thing off and have it spark and crackle like it does 😨

Thank you for the tips! I heard people use a humidifier to get rid of static, would this work?

Yes this would work as it puts moisture back into the environment. :)

so for unknown reasons, I've always felt the need to spritz the clothes with some water when I got static 😮and I didn't know it was a thing, I just felt it was right because it apparently worked! probably maybe because statis feels dry and itchy too, and water helped to relieve that :)) but nevertheless, good tips in your video! thank you!

It's not my clothes but my body that is the static problem. Nothing I can really do to stop it. I'm assuming you have the same situation

Videos only 4 minutes, did you need to watch it 5 times to understand it or something?
